Our Wonderful Log Cabin Lake House is spacious with 7 bedrooms and 3.5 baths at 4,700+ sq ft. It can sleep 26 in beds. However, there is plenty of additional floor space for air mattresses for additional guests. It also has a beautiful view of Norris Lake. There is a covered dock with a 2nd floor party deck above the dock. The property is a quick 15-20 minutes off of I75. It is located on Windsor Point in a "no wake cove" between Whitman Hollow and Sequoyah Marina. There is plenty of parking available. Up to 7-8 vehicles.

We booked this property for spring break with our kids and grand kids. The house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of bedrooms for each family, and the kids loved the bunk room. The kitchen was well equipped for a large group. The decks overlooking the water are amazing. We had a great stay.

Great family vacation

House has great space for large family gathering. It's a steep hike to get to the lake -- something to keep in mind for the elderly or if you have bad knees. Host is super responsive and answered all of my questions asap. Loved the ice maker! We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back!

Great location for a large family.

As a family of 24, we had plenty of space for the adults and ALL the kids (ages 1-15). The outdoor area is not really suitable for little kiddos, especially in the fall when it’s not warm enough for swimming, but there are plenty of state parks nearby to get their wiggles out. Highly recommend - we were very pleased with the space.

Family Reunion

This property was perfect for our family reunion. The location was good - we had folks from Delaware, Ohio, Virginia, Georgia, and Tennessee. Everyone drove except our sister from Delaware and flying into Knoxville was a breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids and adults loved the slide and taking boat rides on beautiful Norris Lake. We took several day excursions to Knoxville, Brushy Mountain and Clinton. Shopping wasn't far away either. Great property!!!

Great stay

Enjoyed the property except for the walk down to the lake. Should have been stairs. My mom and stepdad couldn’t make it down to enjoy the view. And it was a lack of necessities such as towels and tissue. But other than that we truly enjoyed the stay. Beautiful and mesmerizing.

Great home for a large group.

Family trip. Cousins and friends. We are boaters . Beautiful house and a beautiful lake. The only negative Was the walk from the house to the dock. It’s a doozy. Other than that everything was great. Swimming at the dock and playing on the slide as a good time. We have already decided this is where we’re staying next year. Also enjoyed the Blackstone and the grill outside breakfast and dinner.

Big house, beautiful view

We had a large group including kids ranging from 3-18. The house is very large with lots of beds. The bunk room was amazing. Walk down to dock is much easier than other places I’ve stayed. All the kids were able to walk up and down on their own. House is stocked. You will want to bring towels, house has a very small supply for the amount of people it can hold. Owner is very communicative and was able to help us get in when I don’t think I was using key pad correctly. You get no service so make sure you read check in and have door code available.

Overall the stay was good. There was a lot of trash in the trash can and some in the yard. The house is beautiful...enjoyed all the wood and there was plenty of room. The cousins all loved sleeping together in the bunk beds. The main complaint is the ovens. The main oven did not shut right or cook evenly so it took way longer than we expected. Also we were expecting a big pool table and there was not one. The host was quick to reply to any questions and we were able to get in early

Beautiful home

Very beautiful home but a lot of problems with the house. Down stairs plumbing stopped up, TV doesn't work most of the time and livingroom recliners dont work.. dust everywhere. It took us an hour and a half to get in the house because no one had phone service, most of the dishes we used we had to wash again. We loved our time together but we should not have not had to pay for housekeeping because they are not doing their job. You have a very beautiful home but you need new housekeepers.

We have never had problems with the downstairs plumbing. So someone mush have clogged up the toilet. The toilets are brand new this year. Only one of the 4 recliners don’t work. We sent the instructions and the code to get in prior to your arrival. Which if you read the instructions and follow the directions you wouldn’t have had to wait 1.5 hours to get into the house. Having clean dishes is very dependent on the responsibility of the renters. Our cleaners or any cleaner for that matter does not go through the cabinets looking to ensure all the dishes are clean. We have a brand new dishwasher there with plenty of space in it. Renters need to use the dishwasher. So your comments are not completely accurate or fair.

the cabin is quite big, the place is super quiet and peaceful, the neighbors are friendly, we were 7 days a group of 11 people, upon arrival we could not access the code because there was no internet signal outside, we had to go back 7 minutes to the road to be able to take a photo of the instructions, the photos of the cabin are identical to this one, but it needs cleaning all the blankets and sheets were dirty from each room we had to wash them, they smelled like sweat and dirt, it was uncomfortable to sleep, the next day we went outside to see the dock which getting down was an achievement and it is not anchored it moved! with the wind, one beautiful and sunny day my parents had breakfast on the patio, they opened the umbrella, a gust of air came and moved the umbrella and broke the table, they charged me 1,000 for it on day four we started with welts from bites and we discovered several bed bugs the owner got upset by the complaint and is requesting 1,000 more because he says he had inflatable beds on top of the water heater (which I never looked at or knew where the water heater was) that due to water use they melted and he excuses himself with complaints he charges for everything I do not recommend the house is infested with bed bugs we send the tests

We did charge this renter $1000 for his stay. HOWEVER, LETS BE CLEAR ON THE REASONING. It was not only related to the table damage, which was left open at night and caused the table to break, which would have not happened if they would have closed the umbrella. Other issues included garbage disposal and piping that needed replaced/fixed due to bones and plastic found in the garbage disposal and piping. Curtain rods broken, floor trim pieces broken, chairs damaged, floors excessively dirty, blood in bed sheets. We have only charged 2-3 people fees since 2020 all of which were due to excessive damage. Renter complained about the damage. Proof was provided to VRBO and they upheld the damage charges. Related to his claims about bed bugs, dirty linens etc. Our linens are changed and cleaned when renters come in and out. There are additional linens for all rooms for the renters to change as needed. We also use this house regularly for our own use, we have never had bed bug issues. Also, keep in mind, none of this was brought up prior to me charging him for the damage. This was all a play to get VRBO to drop the charges. If there are issues with our house, I would immediately take care of it. In addition, we received an invoice from the electric company for $400 more related to his renters charging electric vehicles the entire time they were renting the house. This renter ruined our rental house and is not trying to ruin our reputation.

Family Thanksgiving

We gathered in Jacksboro with my wife’s family to celebrate her dad’s 80th birthday and a get away Thanksgiving. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and the house easily accommodated the 24 of us. The home is spacious, with plenty of living area. Multi level decks are a plus too! Beds were comfortable. It is well equipped for cooking, both in the kitchen and grills on the deck (2 large gas grills and a Blackstone griddle). Another plus is the ice maker in the lower level… this easily kept us with ice all weekend. All and all, we had a great time and stay. This said, I do need to note the general lack of cleanliness of the property and a few other easily fixable issues. Cleanliness was likely a result that it may have been a while since anyone was there. The exterior looked as if it hadn’t been touched for a long time. Maybe what made it so apparent was that the surrounding properties were very well maintained and manicured. The carpet in the property needed to be replaced years ago. There were light bulbs out all through the property, some bathrooms had 3 of 5 light bulbs burned out. Finally, the hot water heater isn’t large enough for the number of people that the property can accommodate. This place could easily be a 5 with some minor upkeep.

Best lake house ever!!!

We had the best time staying at this property. Had 25 people with plenty of space! Amazing views, access to water, and cozy interior. Will definitely be back!!!
