Talking and playing are not a problem, but if your children tend to be highly active (such as running and jumping) between 11pm and 6am, please contact me before booking this rental. We want to be mindful of everyone's needs as we welcome you to Asheville Poolside Retreat.

We had a great time during our short visit to Asheville. Rima and Ethan were fantastic hosts, sharing advice and recommendations. The kids enjoyed the pool. Rooms were comfortable and clean. We’d love to come back!
It is a spotless place with all the amenities needed, including nice towels and access to a private pool. The hostess was accommodating and nice. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed an excellent experience from beginning to end! This is a wonderful new property in a quiet walkable neighborhood, with restaurants and shops nearby. The beautiful pool ensured that our young family member had a very fun vacation!
Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was new, tidy, and clean. Perfect for our family of 4.
Two full baths, plenty of closet/storage space, nice beds, well stocked kitchen, and cold AC. The place really had everything you need, and the pool was great too.
Location is fantastic, great restaurants and coffee shops less than a mile away.
I was really impressed to find something this affordable, that had great accommodations and a nice pool so close to town. The host was also incredibly kind and great to communicate with.
This place was great. It was me and my two teenage kids. Plenty of room, very clean and accommodating. The pool was a very big hit. The owner was awesome. She greeted us when we arrived and also checked back in when we were packing up to leave. I would definitely stay here again in the future. I would also recommend this to anyone looking for a weekend getaway in Asheville. The location of the property was in a very convenient location to anything you want to do.
Family friendly home in lovely walkable neighborhood!
My husband and I took our two young boys (3 yrs & newborn) for a long weekend trip before I return to work from maternity leave. The host was wonderful - excellent communication, thoughtful accommodations for our two boys, and very friendly! The home’s location was excellent; we were able to walk with the kids to breakfast and dinner each day while also being just a few minutes’ drive from breweries, playgrounds, and hiking trails. The home was exactly as described- bonus for a TON of family games for a wide range of ages. Our 3yr old loved all of the games and puzzles! We had a great stay and will be back again!
The house was very close to Hayward Street, Rt 26 and 240. Another bonus is that It is pet Friendly and you see lots of people walking dogs. West Asheville is very pet friendly as well. The pool was wonderful and we took advantage of it every day after a day of adventuring. Rumi was awesome with checking in and making
sure everything was perfect . She a really nice person. If our circumstances don’ t Change we would love to rent again next year.
This is a hidden gem! The space was perfect for our group. Myself and friend were in Asheville for a birthday trip. The rental was well appointed, good sized for the 2 of use and had so many thoughtful ‘extras’. The hosts had put together a nice little guide with recommendations on some local places to check out. That was very helpful. The beds were comfy, everything was very clean and the hosts were extremely friendly and nice.
We did not have time to use the pool, but it looked very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to the Asheville area. My husband and I may come back for a weekend and I would definitely stay here again.
12/10 stars.
My two sons, along with my DIL and grandkids (ages 2 and 6 months), and I decided to travel to Asheville this summer and chose this spot because it seemed perfect for our needs. The apartment was perfect for us - two nice bedrooms, two spacious bathrooms, living area and kitchen. The pool was huge and so refreshing - there were pool toys, a child size slide and diving board. Everything we needed was included. The space was clean and well-stocked. There are several grocery stores nearby. The apartment was easy to find and in a great area of town - we didn’t have to drive more than 20 minutes to get anywhere we wanted. Check in was a snap - we just had to get the door code from our host.
While we were there we went to the Hands On! Children’s Museum in Hendersonville. My 2 year old grandson had a blast there and the entry fee was only $10 per person. We ate at the 5 Point Diner, The Standard Pizza Company, the Pisgah Inn (amazing views), and Juicy Lucy’s, which were all amazing. We highly recommend The Pisgah Inn and Juicy Lucy’s. The Biltmore is beautiful and a must see. Make sure you drive the Blue Mountain Parkway for a scenic drive with tons of photo opportunities. We took a walk in downtown Asheville and had dessert at The French Broad Chocolate Lounge - if you like chocolate, you have to try it.
We had a great time and our apartment was perfect. We are thankful to Rima for her hospitality!
The homeowners were very kind and gracious, even checking in on us after a late arrival to be sure we didn’t have any trouble getting in the house. The home was well-stocked and in a convenient location. It was a great space to get away and relax for a few days!
We had a wonderful time in this lovely home. My family of four (two kids under 3yrs) and my parents were all very comfortable in the home. Centrally located to Haywood street. Also close to the French Broad. And we all enjoyed the pool!! We will be back!!
We are a family of four (two parents, an elementary school-aged kiddo and a teenager) that has lived at this property for ten years. One host (Rima) is a scholar and writer. We moved to Asheville so that Rima could teach as a professor of ethics at Warren Wilson College. One of us (Ethan) is a non-profit director and consultant specializing in communications work. Both of our kids are in local public schools and enjoy a variety of activities, including swimming in the pool. We rented out our house three years ago and drew many families with young children. Several of these kiddos learned to swim in our pool! We felt so much joy at sharing the pool that we built our vacation rental with the hope of continuing to share our pool. It took two-and-a-half years from envisioning the new building to attaining a certificate of occupancy. And, we just put a new liner. With 22,000 gallons of clear, inviting water and a brand-new, fully-furnished apartment, we are ready to host you!
Why they chose this property
East-West Asheville is a great neighborhood. It is full of dog walkers and runners. You can stroll a short distance to the shops and restaurants on Haywood Road, to the Greenway along the French Broad River, and to the art studios in the River Arts District. We can drive less than five minutes to high-quality grocery stores and pharmacies, and are less than two miles from downtown Asheville. In short, the house is very centrally located. And although it is in the heart of the city, we are never far from the natural beauty of the Pisgahs. We see gorgeous sunrises and sunsets over the mountain ranges.
What makes this property unique
You have full use of our private, in-ground pool for all but 2 hours a day. (During those two hours, you are welcome to swim. Our kiddos may jump in between 4pm and 6pm some days). Our property has one of the only in-ground swimming pools in the city of Asheville. It contains 22,000 gallons of well-maintained water, and features a diving board for big kiddos and adults, and a little slide for small kiddos. A rope divides the shallow end (3 feet) from the deep end (8 feet). Since it is a private pool, kids can play with all kinds of water toys and adults can float on rafts for as long as desired. There is a large grill for your use next to the pool - perfect for picnicking - and a deck with comfortable lounge chairs and a big table snacking and meals. We have put up a canopy for those who want to stay cool in the shade. We also offer recliner chairs for those who want to lay back, sun-bathe, and just relax. The pool is secluded from other properties and generally very quiet. It is truly paradise.
