We loved our stay at the 2br condo at Austria Haus. The condo was clean. A light housekeeping was also offered which we availed of once during our week stay. The ski mountain view was a big plus. The breakfast, cookies and pool/tub for reservation by family, Gorcuh ski lockers were great amenities. Location was perfect. Front desk and concierge were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again if available.
Quick walk to Gondola One, restaurants, shops, etc. - everything Vail Village has to offer! Austria Haus is also just steps away from the closest bus stop, offering free transit service to/from the Village, Lionshead, and Golden Peak, with several stops in between. The condo itself was just as pretty as pictured. Full kitchen W/D in unit. Views of Vail Mtn from every window. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Daily housekeeping and buffet breakfast was provided. Rental unit included one ski locker and one parking space. In conclusion, I can't possibly say enough good things about our stay. Kudos to the concierge team that bent over backward to help us in so many ways. Can't wait to come back next year! THANK YOU.
Really enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday at Austria Haus. The unit was beautiful and well maintained. From the valet, front desk, concierge, and housekeeping staff were all friendly and clearly at the top of the hospitality game. Location was great as it is in Vail Village but at the other side of the bridge so it was quieter that being in the pedestrian area accommodations that we previously stayed.
Outstanding in every way. Exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, nice pool area, perfect location for fall. Condo itself was very clean, very well appointed, great linens/beds, excellent views, great size. Really appreciated the thoughtful details, overall comfort of the place, the outdoor flower boxes, and location on the creek. Would 100% return. Thank you for providing a property that is well cared for and maintained.
Condo is in a great location in Vail Village, close to everything. A nice layout, better than many of these "hotel condos" we have rented in Vail. Good kitchen, plenty of dining space and a big patio (limited view). Rental comes with breakfast, although that is somewhat limited and we only went once. Plenty of other options and you have your own kitchen anyway. We would definitely stay here again, winter or summer.
Everything was perfect here---the view, the location in Vail Village, the condominium, breakfast, and most of all, the staff. Paula and Collin made us feel at home. We had the best vacation ever, and it was literally a last-minute trip.
What a fabulous place!!! Such a pleasant surprise. The pictures don't do this unit justice... is was such a great location and the unit was not only comfortable but incredibly clean! We have been to so many units where the couches and chairs LOOK nice but are so uncomfortable. When you are back from a day out and have a great unit to return, its nice to know you can actually ENJOY being in the room. The beds were amazingly comfortable as well Double plus My husband 17 year old son and I went for a last minute trip, and I was holding my breath not having much time to research. This was a hidden gem and we truly lucked up finding this! I hate to share :) We would love to have kept it for ourselves!
Enjoy~!
The location is perfect, the condo is high-end and well maintained and the daily breakfast is a great perk. Also, the concierge was very helpful in making dinner reservations.
The Austria Haus Club, Vail's original fractional residence club, was meticulously planned and developed over several years. Led by club members Marc and Cynthia Thornburgh, the property opened in December 1998 after 18 months of construction, coinciding with a memorable snowstorm. All 162 owner shares were sold by opening day, a testament to its appeal. While other properties have tried to replicate its success, the Austria Haus Club and Hotel properties stand out. The hotel, managed by Vail Resorts Hospitality, offers 25 luxurious rooms, while the fractional residences are privately managed by a member-elected Board of Directors. This unique arrangement ensures a high level of service and amenities for both club members and hotel guests, setting it apart in Vail's hospitality scene.
Why they chose this property
Vail, Colorado, is a stunning mountain town that offers a unique blend of outdoor adventure, cultural attractions, and upscale amenities. Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Vail is renowned for its world-class skiing and snowboarding in the winter and its scenic beauty and outdoor activities in the summer.
One of the things I enjoy most about Vail is its vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Despite being a popular tourist destination, Vail has managed to maintain a sense of community and charm that is truly special. The pedestrian-friendly streets are lined with charming alpine architecture, boutique shops, and art galleries, creating a picturesque setting that feels both cozy and upscale.
The natural beauty of Vail is another highlight of the neighborhood. Surrounded by towering mountains and lush forests, Vail offers breathtaking views and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Whether hiking through the mountains, biking along scenic trails, or simply taking in the beauty of the landscape, there is no shortage of ways to enjoy the great outdoors in Vail.
The cultural scene in Vail is also a major draw for me. The town is home to a number of art galleries, museums, and theaters, showcasing the work of local and international artists. The annual Vail International Dance Festival and Bravo! Vail Music Festival bring world-class performances to the area, adding to the cultural richness of the neighborhood.
One of my favorite things to do in Vail is to explore the culinary scene. The town boasts a diverse array of restaurants, ranging from casual eateries to fine dining establishments. Many restaurants in Vail focus on using locally sourced ingredients, resulting in fresh and flavorful dishes that highlight the best of the region's cuisine. Whether enjoying a leisurely meal at a sidewalk cafe or grabbing a quick bite between adventures, there is always something delicious to discover in Vail.

If you want a very charming, spacious condo in the heart of the vail village, you will not find a better place! When I return to Vail village, this WILL be the place I stay. It was literally perfect! Susan, Little Rock, AR
This place exceeded our expectations! It’s perfect for families. You have plenty of space to spread out like in a standalone house, plus the convenience of the front desk/concierge/cleaning service and breakfast like you would have in a hotel. You cannot beat the location in the heart of vail village. We look forward to coming back. Kristen, Austin, TX
What a great place to stay...pictures don't do it justice. We have a family of 5 and there was plenty of space. The living and dining room is very large with access to the balcony. There is a TV in every room (great with teenagers) and both bedrooms have a very nice and spacious bathroom. The kitchen offers modern appliances and everything you need if you decide to cook in the apartment. There is also a grill available that we personally didn't use. We love the view from the two balconies, with view of the mountains, town, pool and creek below. The hotel staff was extremely friendly, from the reception desk to the cleaning staff. The valet service and concierge were outstanding and very helpful with trips and directions. The location of the hotel is PERFECT with quick access to Vail town center and the highway to go visit other places. This is one of the best places we've stayed. I would give it 6-stars if it had the option....excellent! Patrick, Overland Park, KS
