Stylish Farmhouse w/Pond! Enjoy Nature While Being Close to Downtown

****NO CHILDREN BELOW AGE 12 DUE TO DEEP POND JUST OUTSIDE THE DOOR

This is the original farmhouse on our 40-acre property. Recently, we updated the inside with modern amenities, while preserving much of the original charm. The house has a pond and water feature, and is super convenient to downtown (just 6.5 miles). Between the floating dock, creek side bench, front porch and fire pit circle, there are ample opportunities to sit back and relax the natural beauty this area has to offer. This house is the perfect choice if you are looking for somewhere that is both close and convenient to downtown while also peaceful and surrounded in nature. Spend one day enjoying Asheville's abundant restaurants and shopping districts and the next exploring the land right outside your back door. There truly is something for everyone at The Pond House.

We have been hosts since 2012 and have lots of reviews for our other two houses on the property. We are excited to share this new space with guests!

The farmhouse was amazing, with lots of wildlife visiting the pond. We loved seeing the turkeys right beside the house, strutting in the yard right beside the porch and pond. The inside of the house was very nice and comfy and we loved our stay there and how convenient it was located to everything, yet secluded and private.

The location of this property was peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the mountains;the only noise we heard were wild ducks landing on the pond. This farmhouse was a combination of old charm and modern conveniences like the well appointed kitchen and central heating which worked great! There is also a large wood burning fireplace.It was only 5 minutes to tunnel road, where we could head out to downtown or go for a hike on one of many trails on the Blue Ridge parkway.Would definitely stay again in the future!

Enjoyable getaway

Very nice, quiet location felt like miles away from town but really only a short drive. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The house is very old with sloping floors, low ceilings, and some aging conditions (in case that’s not your thing) - but it was very clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Fabulous summer getaway!

What a lovely little home in the country! Only minutes away from all the modern conveniences and the hustle and bustle of Asheville. This was a beautiful, very well appointed home. Great cool air conditioning and ceiling fans kept it very cool inside even when temps were hot. Great kitchen for cooking and comfortable seating and beds! Everything we needed for a weekend away with friends. We will definitely stay again!

Location, peace and quiet

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. Owners pay a lot of attention to detail to do their best to make your stay comfortable. Slept amazing and I have great difficulty with that especially in a new place. You are 10-15 minutes to Asheville. 5 minutes to great coffee and breakfast at Penny Cup. We will always stay here.
