We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The cozy layout and proximity to the water were highlights, as we enjoyed evening sunset walks. Communication with the host was easy and host was responsive to questions. We appreciated our time staying here.
Very well maintained house. Newly remodeled and exceptionally clean.
The location was great. So close to Grand Haven with, Saugatuck, Douglas, South Haven and Ludington being a short drive.
The bike paths throughout the area were very cool. We biked all around Spring Lake, and North Beach ( Lake Michigan)
This cottage is larger than the pictures indicate and well equipped. Super clean and nicely decorated, but comfortable. Great location, close to attractions, but away from crowded areas. I would definitely stay here again.
This is my second time staying here and it's the perfect place to bring the grandkids. Quiet location with close playground. Easy drive to the beach and restaurants. Comfortable, well equipped living space and kitchen. Karin is flexible and easy to work with, highly recommend!
This was the first family vacation we took with our son (1 year old) and this property was perfect! Being right by the water made for beautiful walks in the neighborhood. There was also a park ago it a block over which was super convenient! We will definitely be returning!
We really enjoyed our stay! Felt just like home. The neighborhood was quite. The walk down to the lake was short. Via the pictures I thought it was right outside the door. The only other thing that I thought was there was a fire pit. I had bought stuff for s'mores thinking we would enjoy the evenings around a fire. Other then that the stay was perfect!!!! I would recommend friends in a second.
We needed a quiet getaway that was close to everything… and this fit the bill perfectly. Very quiet and polite street. Absolutely perfect spot of the lake to open the windows and take a nap on the couch or in the hammock! We had great conversations with the neighbors, and was able to have nice walks and watch the wildlife.
Just a quick 7 minute or so drive over to grand haven for an amazing Hawaiian ice at Haluala or a fun day of shopping down town.
Buy the passport for parking in the state parks for the beach.. just do it it’s way easier haha.
The house provided everything and more than we had expected.
Thank you so much!
Everything about this cottage and property is "just right."
The home is spacious and spotless; appliances are new and in excellent condition, storage is ample. Ceiling fans and portable fans supplement the window AC unit, making for a very pleasant atmosphere if it's hot and humid outdoors.
We stayed for three nights, to explore Lake Michigan, the Grand River and the bike paths. The cottage is within an easy drive to all, but without being cramped into downtown parking. We had an F-150 truck pulling a small boat and a Ford Fusion car with bikes. All fit in the driveway and there is a roomy and secure back yard where we could store the bikes.
The neighborhood is quiet, and a pleasant walk from this cottage to the lakefront or an independently-owned general store that has a little of everything, including alcoholic beverages and food.
For dining, we tried/recommend Pine Street Cafe for breakfast or lunch (about 2 miles from the cottage), Two Tonys for dinner in Spring Lake (top-notch cuisine and service). For drinks/snacks on the water (channel inlet from Lake Michigan) in Grand Haven, Snug Harbor. It's very popular and can get crowded - better for a drink and a quick bite than special dinner.
Beach at Hoffmaster State Park in Muskegon is excellent for swimming and walking; very clean and spacious. Take insect repellent in case there are flies (periodic in the summer).
The owner is gracious and committed to making your stay an excellent "Pure Michigan" experience.

Lovely home, close walk to the waters edge and park
Fast drive to grand Haven, and quick walk to the nearby park and waters edge which was nice. Overall super clean plaxe. One of our blankets had a weird stain on it and the host got a new one to us which was nice and worry free.
Didn't like having to take our trash and strip beds given the cost of the cleaning fee but that's pretty typical with many short term rentals these days.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary here, which was exactly what we were looking for (thanks again for leaving that delicious bottle of wine) The location was safe, peaceful, and relaxing. There was ample space and check-in and out was a breeze. It was mere minutes to M 31 so you could head out in any direction. While our kid is grown and didn't come with us, there's a nice park about a block away for those with kids. We wouldn't hesitate to come back and stay here again.
Adorable cottage, in perfect location. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat, healthy walking and boating, or quick access to GH, Spring Lake and Muskegon this cottage has it all! Highly recommend
We had a great time staying at this cottage. It had everything we needed. The back yard is small but was my favorite place to hang out. They have used the space very well to create a relaxing and peaceful area.
We had a great time! All we had to bring was our food and drinks, everything else is thoughtfully provided by this AMAZING HOST!!!! We will be back to this beautiful little cabin!
