Great house, exceeds my expectation! Large, Beautiful, Comfortable, Equipment of high quality, The only minor issue is that I arrived late, it was dark and a little confusing to find the house, just believe the google map direction! The photo on the website is somehow misleading as it is much better than the photo.

There's nothing we love more than exceeding guests' expectations :-) We are so happy you enjoyed your visit. Be sure to use the instructions that we email rather than any mapping apps. Those are unreliable in our remote location. It's always hard to capture the natural beauty of Hawaii in photos - that's why everyone should come and experience for themselves :-) We hope we can host you again soon! Everything was clean and perfect when I arrived. Most important, the bed was one of the most comfortable that I have slept on while away from home - and that is saying something. It was a wonderful location and easy access to the highway. I highly recommend!

The house is very clean, comfortable, and perfectly located just a few minutes from the entrance of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. It felt like a true backcountry basecamp for exploring the caldera and the Thurston Lava Tube.

Clean & Cool

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at Hale Mauka! The location was great for exploring Volcano's National Park as well as other areas of the island (we recommend the hike to Green Sand Beach, worth it!!). The house was clean with all the amenities you could need, loved the excess of hooks for towels and wet clothes! Additionally loved the personal touches around the house, interesting books, art, and knickknacks. While not a necessity for a rental it made us feel like we were stay at a cool aunt's house rather than a random rental.

The property is lovely and conveniently located. Our only issue was the 3 printed requests in the kitchen for tipping the housekeeper. We have never encountered this before at a VRBO and it was very off putting. Aside from that, everything else about the property is awesome
