Hollow Hideaway - Minutes to Dupont State Forest!

Nestled back on 13 acres with views from the front porch of three streams, pond and firepit - your weekend getaway has endless options to get back to nature and enjoy some peaceful relaxation - just minutes from the famous Dupont State Forest. Wake up to sunshine streaming through the windows, birds chirping, fresh eggs provided by our free range chickens and enjoy the peace and quiet before you start your day. If you're a mountain biker, you could take a quick downhill bike ride right into the entrance of Dupont. This state park gives free access to biking trails, hiking trails, fly fishing and more! When done exploring for the day, relax and grill out while enjoying a nice fire right from the front porch! Or drive into Flat Rock or Brevard in 15 minutes for a nice dinner and drinks!

This tiny home provides one master bedroom with one queen bed and dresser surrounded by morning light, opening up into the kitchen that has all the amenities needed. Keurig coffee machine and pods, tea, proper disinfectants, full set of pots and pans, oven, brand new refrigerator and freezer, microwave, propane grill, outdoor dining and propane firepit right on the front porch to take in all the views! There is a TV with Dish Network provided but please note, there is no wifi internet provided. One bathroom with shower/tub option with towels, hair dryer and toiletries provided. One bedroom loft with a queen bed with all linens provided. Please note that a ladder is required to get into the loft. The living room also provides a comfortable Serta sofa bed that can be turned into a queen sized bed if the loft isn't accessible. Pack and Play also available for infants and toddlers. Could sleep 6 people but we recommend sleeping 4 as it is tight quarters.

We do live full-time on the property past the cabin further up the driveway, if anything is ever needed or if there is an emergency. We are a young family with a very friendly chocolate lab that you might see strolling the property. The road to our house is one in/one out so please beware as driving in (although there aren't many cars that come up or down), but signifies the peace and quiet that we get to experience during your stay. Our driveway entrance does have a gate where we will provide the code upon arrival.

Quiet Hideaway

We very much enjoyed our stay. Very quiet and away from the highway. Everything was clean and ready for use. Directions from host were spot on and check-in was easy. We enjoyed sitting on the porch reading next to the gas fireplace table. Their dog was very sweet and made us feel at home. They had everything we needed in kitchen. We would stay here again. Thanks.

Great weekend getaway

Very cute and secluded cabin! We came for a conference and wanted to enjoy the mountains while we were in NC. This cabin was just what we wanted! It was very well kept and clean. The only thing that made us a little skeptical was the drive to the cabin… I think it may need advertised somewhere that the road to the cabin is very narrow and very winding.. we didn’t have the proper car for the roads but we made do. Overall, great stay and it truly was a great cabin.

Perfect Getaway

Our visit to Hollow Hideaway was exactly what we were hoping for - restful and restorative. The cabin was immaculate and well stocked. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the late afternoon after a long day of hiking. If peaceful is what you are looking for - this is the place for you. We are looking forward to another visit.

Welcome to Hollow Hideaway! Our family purchased this property in 2019 and we love where we live and have spent a lot of time making this our home. When we saw the home and land, we knew this would be our forever home. We grew up in Brevard so we're very familiar with the area and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. On the weekends, we like to do all things outdoors and you'll likely see us checking on the chickens or minding to our garden. Feel free to say hello and ask us for some local recommendations!

What makes this property unique

There are so many streams that lead to the river and pond. We love sitting by the pond and watching the tadpoles hatch into little frogs. The front porch of the cabin overlooks the pond and river making the sounds so peaceful. Upon leaving our cabin, the road leads right to Dupont State Forest which has endless options for hiking, fishing and biking. Or just minutes away from Flat Rock and Brevard for great small town touring.
