Perfect lication for our 6 days of biking trail, and roads. Lovely cottage, that met all our expectations.. The owner did communicate that there was only an effeciency kitchen, but it sufficed for our breakfast and snack needs. We hope to someday return.

Great Stay!

We had a great time at the Mountain Peaks Inn in Hill City. We loved that we had a space walkable to downtown, and it was central to many areas that we wanted to explore in the Black Hills. The hosts were unbelievable kind and excellent at responding to our questions. The grills provided were great for cooking, and we appreciated the fridge for our cooler items. We hope to come back in the future if we should make our way to SD again.

Great Location

The hosts Steve and Lisa, are wonderful! They were quick to respond when needed and the operate an excellent coffee shop at Mountain Peaks. The only reason I gave them a lower rating than excellent was, the lights, kitchen appliances, and entertainment area was extremely dusty. It appeared that it had not been dusted in a long time.

We are the Stucky family. We are blessed to call the Black Hills home. We home educate and enjoy owning and operating our businesses, traveling, and exploring new places.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Hill City when visiting the Black Hills in the summer of 2015 and again 2020. We stumbled upon this beautiful home, which was remodeled to accommodate four guest cabins. Now, we have the privilege of calling Hill City home. Although we are new owners of this property, these cabins and suite have been available on VRBO since 2013.

What makes this property unique

This home is in the heart of Hill City and is walking distance to shops, galleries, restaurants, the Black Hills Central Railroad's 1880 Train, and the popular Mickleson Trail. Mountain Peaks Inn also features Caboose Coffee Company.
