Great little studio apt
Great location in Rogers Park, just around the corner from the Morse red line stop. Stylish, comfortable, studio apt with stocked kitchen. I had no problem finding free parking on the street. I did have a snafu with the wrong lockbox code, but called the property manager and was given the correct code. Would stay here again.

Check-in was very difficult and I had a hard time getting in the unit. After that it was a wonderful wonderful stay.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I never stepped foot in the unit because there was no key in the lockbox. I texted and called the number listed by the host. No one ever responded. I called VRBO support and they called the host who answered VRBOs call. VRBO put us on a three way call, in which I explained the situation to the host. The host basically said I was wrong. Their cleaning lady assured them there was a key. Asked ME to go back to the lock box and provide a photo that no key was there. This is TWO HOURS after I first tried to reach them. I had an appointment to get to. They claimed they would check on their end. Ultimately, no key was ever provided, they were non responsive, and VRBO had to relocate me to a hotel. The host - who I found out is a rental agency - never followed up with me. Never apologized AND refused to refund the cost of the rental that I had paid for in advance. For some reason VRBO allowed this host to bill directly, taking control out of their hands. It took me 3.5 months to recoup my rental money and expenses associated with the relocation from VRBO. I only received my rental money by disputing the charge with my credit card, and it took emailing VRBOs top executives to finally get my expenses (as allowed by VRBO policy) recouped. Saying this was a nightmare is an understatement. If VRBO doesn’t drop this host that is a poor reflection on them and their vetting process to assure customers can “book with confidence”.

Uncleanliness was a huge factor
The place did not have fresh sheets, towels and it looked like somebody previously cooked there. Also, they left dirty pots, pans that was so foul I debated staying in a hotel and asking for a refund if they did not clean the second day of my stay. They finally came and cleaned the second day. I had to sleep on the couch the first night because the bed was so clearly used.

Good option
We had a pleasant stay. Property was as pictured, location is excellent, and the property manager was easy to get ahold of. We were not able to access the wifi but we didn't reach out to attempt to fix it as we did not need it. The bed was comfortable but pretty squeaky. Corners were a little dusty but overall the place was clean and comfortable.
