Enjoyed my stay in this apartment. Loved that it was just a 10 min walk from the lake! Apartment had everything you could need. Only issue was that the overhead lights in the bedroom did not work. I recommend staying here!

Thank you so much! Looking forward to hosting you again. :)
It was clean and convenient to use the public transportation. Would've been helpful to have access to a few more towels, or to have bigger towels. The stairs getting into the unit, slipperiness of tub, and rolled up carpet corners posed a little difficulty for me but could definitely pose a tall risk for others.
Lovely little place in Rogers Park. I would definitely stay here again because it lent itself to the whole Chicago experience. Host is communicative and everything was exactly as it should be without any surprises.
Overall, my experience was quite positive, and I aim to provide a fair and informative perspective. The listing was exactly as described, an older building with charming features like a deep soaking tub and original hardwood floors. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach where they serve food/drinks. A corner store at the end of the block and the popular Honeybear Cafe, just 10 min walk. The host was very responsive to my inquiries, which I appreciated. As a single mother traveling with a younger child, I felt safe in the neighborhood, everyone was polite. However, I did encounter some challenges during my stay. Upon check in, I found myself facing a festival at the end of the block, which made parking a hassle. While street parking is available on a first come, first served basis, I spent about an hour circling the area before finally finding a spot. This left me juggling multiple bags and a child in an unfamiliar place. Even after the festival was over, parking was terrible after 3pm. Once I arrived at the rental, I had to reach out to the host for clarification on which unit was mine. They promptly resent the check in instructions that I didnt get initially, but that didnt specify why I had 6 keys for only 3 locks and which key went to what door. This could be easily fixed with labeled keys. Inside, the unit was clean, though I noticed wear on the blinds and marks on the walls. If your a light sleeper the noise from the bedroom window may be alot.
We enjoyed our stay at Demitri’s place! The bed was very comfortable and the place was clean. It is an older building so expect some noise from the street and neighbors. The location was very convenient to the L, the Morse stop on the red line is just a block away and you can get downtown in about 45 minutes. Demitri is a very responsive host and made check in easy with clear pictures and instructions.
Very comfortable, quiet apartment. Has everything you need and location is great right next to CTA stop. The property manager is SUPER communicative and made sure I got settled in without a problem!
Very convenient location near transit. Far enough away that you couldn’t hear the transit. Apartment is comfortable and comes with nice amenities like coffee, creamer and sugar. The kitchen seemed well equipped. I spent limited time there since I was visiting with family. I would rent this apartment again. Location to the beach is walkable.
Be aware this is an old building but everything was very clean. Location was also great. Just a ten minute walk to Loyola University Chicago and a 5 minute walk to this really awesome breakfast place called Honeybear Cafe (try to make reservations cause it was packed when I went). I made coffee every morning and ironed my shirt with no issues. This place reminded me of apartments I used to hang out in when I was younger. It has a rickety floor and noise pipes, but I personally felt right at home and really enjoyed my time in it. The bed was comfortable and I had no issues sleeping. Fully stocked kitchen if you wanted to make your own food. There is a bunny living in the courtyard that seems friendly. As I already said, I enjoyed my time here entirely.
Very clean, roomy apartment. Giant tv and no internet problems. Fully equipped with all needed essentials. We stayed a week taking care of family business on the north side. The location was great. Street parking was difficult but we managed to find a spot. Only complaint was some nights it could get a little noisy with people shouting in the alley but hey, it’s the city!
Would definitely stay again. The host was super nice and helpful.
Property was very clean, close to the train and beach but quiet neighborhood. Easy access to restaurants and traveling to downtown for sightseeing. Great neighborhood feel, safe to walk around, and good communication with the host. Easy check in and check out. Would stay here again.
