We stayed for a week and had various family members come and go during that time. As for a spot on the San Marcus River, especially over a holiday weekend, the privacy was unbelievable. We saw maybe 20 people on the river over that entire week. With that stretch of the river being private property, the hordes of people that we've typically seen in other locations on the river simply weren't there. The house was great for large gatherings and the fact that it was on such a large piece of property made for a perfect, private vacation. The proximity to HEB and Walmart was also a bonus. The only thing to keep in mind is that the riverbank is deep and there are no sandy beach areas for small children. However, we came prepared with a large floating raft that we "anchored" in the river 10 feet from the bank and left in place for the entire week. The littles, with their life jackets, could then safely play for hours at a time. Other great amenities that we used extensively were the kayaks, the hot tub and the pickleball courts. If you've got a large group, I'm not sure it gets much better than this on the San Marcus!

This property had it all! We could not believe how many activities were there to do with all of the accessories needed. They had Pickleball paddles, pickle balls, basketballs, billiards, ping-pong, Xbox, kayaks, hot tub, fire pit with firewood, tons of board, games, and tons and tons of beds. This is an absolutely fabulous house. We will go back to stay there as a family with extended family.

ANNUAL FAMILY RIVER TRIP

This was our 2nd time to stay at this home. This home is amazing. You literally have to bring only yourself, clothes, and food. The host provides everything else. The house has plenty of pots, pans, utensils, storage containers...you name it, they have it. Very spacious. We had persons coming in/out the entire time we were there. Upto 20 at one time and no issues with sleeping arrangements (except for our snorers!!! LOL). We had so much fun playing ping pong and we brought our cards and blackjack set up and had a blast after our long days on the river. The river just outside the house this year was pretty dirty, but no worries. We packed up and went just a short distance to the bridge and hung out there all day. And at the end of the day a few of us floated back to the house. This was an added bonus. There are other places to hang out that are only a short distance so no worries if you come and the water is "muddy". Many thanks to the owners for sharing your wonderful space on the San Marcos River!!!

Wonderful stay

Was a fabulous stay at this house. Went to the F1 race and location was great. Furnishings were perfect right down to the bunn coffee maker. Wish we had more of the family joining us because it’s a great place for a large family gathering. Thanks for sharing with us. Definitely be back.

Perfect Location & Lots of Space

This was one of the best rentals I've stayed in. The rooms are much larger than they appear online, and the house was clean & full of amenities. We had a group of 23 adults & had plenty of space. The river behind the house was a nice, relaxed float & the backyard patio was one of our favorite places to gather at sunset. I hightly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing river getaway.

Everything you need

We had a group of 16 people and this house had plenty of space! There was corn hole, volleyball, soccer, and even more yard games. Hot tub worked great and the patio was nice to relax on. The kayaks were great and we enjoyed a float that led straight to the house. The bathrooms were large so we had plenty of space. The owner was very responsive and helpful when needed. Can’t wait to come back!
