When modern touches meet rustic charm, this family-friendly log cabin is the result! When you're not hitting the slopes at Brian Head Resort, taking a scenic hike, or golfing, return to your home for the ultimate retreat. Ski-View Lodge has the best of both worlds: contemporary amenities and wood and log accents here and there to add a rustic but elegant touch to your stay. The main entrance leads you directly to the first floor of this three-story home. This floor offers a well-equipped family room with a large flatscreen TV and a comfortable sectional sofa, one bedroom with delightful views of the slopes and a flatscreen TV, and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. This level is ideal for a couple looking for some privacy or a hang-out area for the kids.

Climb up the stairs to reach the second and main level of the home where the kitchen, living room, and dining area are combined into one bright open floor plan. The living room is a great gathering spot with a considerable sectional leather sofa right in front of a generous flatscreen TV and a gas fireplace. Yes, we know movie nights here will be a blast. The kitchen comes well equipped with great appliances that will make cooking a breeze. A French door fridge will keep your groceries nice and fresh during your stay and the dishwasher is a great addition for those who dread doing the dishes. There is a small kitchen island for extra counter space. Right off the kitchen is the gorgeous dining table. This level features an extensive wraparound deck with rocking chairs and plenty of seating, along with a gas grill. Views here are simply worth it spectacular.

This level offers another bedroom with a flatscreen TV and a beautiful ensuite bathroom with double vanity, a Jacuzzi tub, and a walk-in shower. Additionally, you'll find a half bathroom/laundry room with a washer/dryer combo. The upper level boasts an entertaining loft area with a pool table, Ping-Pong table, dartboard, comfortable sofas, and plenty of board games. There are two bedrooms with a flatscreen TV each and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. And last, a bonus for the kids, there is a fourth-level loft accessible via a mounted ladder that leads to a smart TV and gaming counsel with enough bean bag chairs for all.

Fall visit
Very nice property with great views. Very roomy and nice sleeping accommodations. Need some window washing but, otherwise clean and tidy. Getting up the driveway will be difficult with any ice or snow.

Horrible Service and Not Safe
The list of failures is long. We arrived to find that the long and extremely steep driveway had not been plowed. We called Vacasa, the property manager, and they said they would log a ticket. No call back. Even after installing tire chains, we were only able to get the two cars partly in the driveway leaving one sticking partially into the street. It was unsafe for other drivers and plows. Adults and kids fell on the icy driveway. On third call was informed that Vacasa was not responsible for plowing driveways, it was the owner responsibility. We requested the owner be contacted but was told this was a “no contact with owner” property. Told there should be a shovel in the garage (it was locked). After pleading for a resolution, Vacasa sent a guy with a shovel, however it was plastic and looked like it came from Target Frozen Anna/Elsa isle. Driveway issue was never resolved. Other issues: Dishwasher was broke (full of what looked like pea soup). Smoke detectors removed and bare wires hanging. The fireplace wouldn’t turn on. The water heater was set so high that it scalded two of the adults at the kitchen sink. The heating left master bedroom like a sauna while the upper level and lower levels ice cold. Strongly recommend *not* staying at this cabin. It appears the owner is not taking any responsibility for ensuring that their management company is performing their responsibilities and creating a safe and enjoyable experience.

WILL NOT EVER STAY HERE AGAIN
Sorry for the long review, but this is worth reading before booking this location. I have been using VRBO for years and have received excellent service. Until this trip. It started off terrible. We had a 4pm check in and based our trace to arrive at 4pm. This would allow us to find the place in daylight and unload before the temperatures got into the single digits. We got an email on the drive in that our check in was now 6pm. Pitch black and 6 degrees. We went to the cabin at 4pm to see what caused the delay. The previous guest left four hours past check out. We even helped carry supplies up the driveway and bags of supplies back down to their vehicles to help. Unacceptable. Their trip was extended and our trip started out negatively. Once we got into the cabin we food food products and nicotine products left behind out in the open by the cleaning crew. The dishwasher had a note on it that it was broken and a new one was ordered. We had to wash all our dishes from 2-3 meals per day. A dishwasher was advertised with this cabin. No new dishwasher showed up during our five day stay. Wires hanging from the ceiling on the second floor (kitchen, living room, bedroom) area where the smoke detector should have been. Talk about a major disregard for guest safety. The kitchen is the #1 cause of house fires. This was a shocking discovery. We spent a lot of money per day for this cabin and had higher expectations. The host did offer $50 credit and will notify the local representative about our comments. We will not stay here again and will avoid locations hosted by Vacasa.
