About the host
Hosted by Holly
Dan is the author of “The Mexico Diaries” adventures on an off grid ranch in a tiny village on the coast of Mexico. Holly was a former CFP (Certified Financial Planner). Both left corporate life early on to peruse their passions. In addition to the home in Maine they also have homes in Mexico that are occasionally for rent or for home exchanges on well known online platforms. This is our family home, not an empty shell bought simply to rent out. You will find art from our travels around the world and custom features that can only be developed over decades of living in and appreciating a space.
Why they chose this property
We honestly feel this is the most beautiful and best location to live in the US. The peace and serenity living on the water this close to major cities is hard to find. We travel alot so being an hour from Boston's International Airport is great. We have the benefit of being on the water, minutes from the Atlantic ocean and less than an hour to skiing or hiking in the mountains.
What makes this property unique
It is very important to both of us that we are in touch with nature every day. Living in this home does that for us. The many large windows that open to decks and balconeys bring the outdoors in. We also have a large screened porch where we literally live in the summer months. We take all of our meals there and sometimes sleep there. Wildlife is abundant in the area keeping every day exciting.
