This place is a hidden jewel! We could spend many more weeks just soaking up the peace and quiet! We hiked several places on the property, and rode bikes. Our kids enjoyed feeding the horses and kayaking. There is also a game room in the loft that they let us use. Mac and Mary were amazing hostesses and were very accessible for questions during our stay. We will definitely be back!
This location is a little piece of heaven. It sits back abit from the main road but the ride is well worth it based on the amazing views and wildlife viewing. The owners have done a spectacular job creating this space and paid such close attention to the small details that we really felt like we were visiting friends. Mary could not have been nicer - I contacted here several times with questions about sightseeing and things to do and she was quick to respond with great recommendations. From our windows we viewed horses, eagles, geese and caught sight of the two little kitty's that live near by. We hiked the trails and just took in the beautiful sights. There is an ATV park near by and we took advantage of the 500 miles of trails using RockHound ATV. They were awesome and had a ton of knowledge about the area. Thank you Mary and Mac for a great stay!!
Really enjoyed the stay. Mary and Mac have the place incredibly planned out with plenty of things to do from hiking to fishing. The kids loved it and the scenery is awesome. Would for sure stay again.
This is the cutest place to get away from the hustle and bustle!! The view is beautiful and serene and plenty of room to walk around the property to get some steps in. There is ATV riding trails in the area if you wish to bring your RZR or 4 wheeler it's a great area to do some riding. On the way in, we saw lots of people camping with their machines. We saw some deer drinking from the pond and the owners mentioned that Elk frequent the area. We were there Sept 20 and the leaves were turning more yellow by the day. We recommend the drive to cripple creek to see beautiful fall colors!
The loft itself is a wonderful cozy place! It got down to 26 degrees but we never had to use the furnace or fireplace! The sun kept it nice and warm and we could open the windows in the afternoon for fresh cool mountain air, it was lovely!!
Everything in the loft is brand new and top of the line, the owner was a superb host making sure we had all we needed. They live in the house up the drive so they were a great resource for any questions we had about the area.

About the host
Hosted by Mary Owen
We've been married since 1976. We have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. We moved to Colorado from Louisiana in 2012, coming from sea level to 9000 ft. above sea level was quite an adventure. And we have loved every minute of it. We wake up every morning thanking God we get to live here. And even after 10 years, we still stop to look at the elk, deer, mountains, streams, and colorful foliage...Colorado never disappoints.
