Great Stay

The check-in procedures were not clear. We arrived after a 5-hour flight delay. We saw one door with the house number and no other instructions or labels. We attempted for about 20 minutes to get in when another neighbor came over and walked us to the backside of the house to get in. We weren’t real upset about this until the owner sent us a noise complaint for something out of our control. The beds are old and not comfortable. Showers, linens, and kitchen items were on point. Owner was very helpful in getting our internet running when we had issues. Lovely scenery with little brook running through property. The property was not as private as the description leads one to believe but it is quiet. Although we had some little hiccups (this is a new listing and we think was a learning experience for the owner), we would recommend.

Fantastic Mountain Getaway

My son, husband and I took a short vacation over the 4th of July. Husband told me he wanted "a cabin in the mountains" and this place did not disappoint. It exceeded our expectations on every level. I was a little worried about directions since it's sort of out there, so I had messaged Becky prior to leaving and she gave me excellent directions. Everything was spot on. This cottage (cottages) are located IN THE MOUNTAINS on the west side of Pike's Peak. It. Is. GORGEOUS. We spent the majority of our days out and about - Royal Gorge, Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods - but we did spend evenings at the cottage and one full day where we had nothing planned. The house is very clean, had all the kitchen stuff we needed, roomy, comfortable beds, and some of the best showers ever. I could stand in there all day. While we didn't have the entire property to ourselves (there are three places to stay), it was still very private. A creek runs right by the driveway and being able to sit by an open window and hear the water run was absolute bliss. We had zero problems - easy to find, easy access, no problems with the Wifi. Loved every minute of it. It was hard to leave. Thank you, Becky, for a much needed mountain escape!!!
