River Haven - Rest and relaxation guaranteed!

Come find rest and relaxation at River Haven. Our beautiful new cottage is located directly on the banks of the Chauga River and is secluded within 10 acres.

The cottage is light and airy with large windows and high ceilings throughout for viewing the river and surrounding area. The cozy, well appointed living space provides a complete kitchen, master bedroom, living area with sleeping sofa, and bath. In addition to the beautiful indoor space, two porches and a hammock area are available to enjoy the rushing river sounds. A riverside firepit and sitting area will also provide an excellent opportunity for relaxation.

Visitors of River Haven, will enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking, and swimming in front of the cabin or simply curling up with a book listening to the river. Also you may experience the thrill of Chattooga White Water rafting just 15 minutes from the cottage.

If you enjoy hiking, nearby waterfalls provide for wonderful hiking opportunities. Boating and skiing activities can also be enjoyed on nearby Keowee, Jocassee, and Hartwell lakes. Other areas of interest nearby are Chattooga Belle Farm Distillery & Vineyards, Clemson University Tiger football, Brooks Center for the Performing Arts, Duke Power World of Energy, antiquing, White Water Falls, Chattooga white water rafting, visit to Clayton, Ga and shopping just to name a few.

NOTE: Cottage is on a long gravel road that is steep. 4 -wheel drive is not necessary, but helpful. I personally do not drive a 4 wheel drive car and no issues. Long drive but ends in paradise.

If we could give 10 stars, it still wouldn't be enough. If you want peace and quiet and privacy in a storybook setting, this is for you. The cabin is beautifully decorated and the river, just a few feet away, made for some of the best sleep we've had in years. We traveled from the bright lights and city rush, so the complete darkness and seclusion was exactly what we wanted. You will have everything you need. If I hadn't had family I needed to visit in the area, I'm not sure we would have ever left the property. This will be our go-to for all future visits. I want to buy the place!

My partner and I had such a wonderful stay here! Right on the river, beautiful views with multiple outdoor nooks to sit and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the river & nature. Came with all the basic necessaries for a comfortable stay. A nice river view right from the bedroom. River Haven is a short distance from downtown Westminster where we grocery shopped, got a few more essentials and enjoyed delicious Ice cream at Park Place Drive Inn. Twin Falls in Pickens was a nice scenic 40 minute drive. We didn’t really have to leave to enjoy a nice peaceful getaway, you have all you need here! Sherry was very nice, responsive and sent all the important information promptly with thorough instructions. Check-in/out was a breeze. No complaints other than we should have stayed longer! ;)
