This was our second stay at this home. It is close to my daughter's home and made our visit easier. It's close to beautiful walking trails and is a really peaceful location. It was exactly as pictured in the photos. we'd love to return.

Nice stay in Walnut Creek

We stayed for the birth of our first and second grandchildren at John Muir. Lots of running around, and this was a perfect cottage for all our visits with the babies. Clean place, and great location. Thank you to very nice hosts.

Secluded hideaway…

Quiet and secluded, but only minutes from downtown Walnut Creek and the outdoor areas around Mt. Diablo. A bit Spartan but has all the essentials. Host did a great job of getting us in and settled. Good value for the money.

Beautiful location in Walnut Creek

We came to Walnut Creek for a family event, and my husband and I very much enjoyed staying here. The listing is very accurate and the location is absolutely beautiful. We would’ve liked a few more cutlery items, and the refrigerator was a little dirty inside, but outside of those small things it was great. Highly recommend.

The listing was just as described. Great guesthouse with the most comfortable mattress we have slept on. The bath was beautiful with a wonderful shower. The neighborhood was exceptionally quiet and the location was perfect for us to be able to get to our grandkids house and activities. Shuangxi (our host) answered the few questions we had within minutes of us emailing. Will definitely stay here again.Bubba Heard

Perfect for Our Specific Need

We were in the area for a memorial service for an old friend, we wanted a place nearby for a couple of people and this property fit the bill in all ways. Nearby hiking trailhead was a bonus. Amenities as described, frictionless check-in and check-out. Note that this is a very suburban location and so very car-dependent. But on the whole a delightful stay and will definitely look to stay again should we be in the area.

We arrived to a very dirty unit. A LOT of mold in shower, dirty shower doors/shower niche/toilet/stovetop/oven/kitchen sink/patio, etc. I had to clean the shower at 1am upon arrival (took 30 min just to make it usable. Leftover prescription meds/underwear found in bathroom drawers from previous renters. Obviously not cleaned. This unit is stocked with minimal supplies. No sheets/blanket/pillows for pullout bed. 2 bath towels for 2 people for 10 days. Futon has no cover. We stayed here previously and it was different. Nowhere to put suitcases last time so I did ask owner to supply luggage racks which he did. We checked out as soon as we were able.

Peaceful and quiet

This property was great. The property is in a nice quiet residential neighborhood near a fantastic trail. If you like nature and seeing horses, deer, wild rabbits and birds singing, this is the place. Property owner is fantastic and communicates well and in a timely manner. Very friendly, kind and understanding. We used this property for about 6 months while our house was being remodeled. Highly recommend this property.
