Nicholasville is home to this holiday home. Camp Nelson National Monument and Jd Legends Bar & Grill are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Wilmore Rail-Side Museum and Community Arts Center.

Unique, comfortable, cozy, yet spacious home for our group of 10 in the area for a wedding. The grounds are as beautiful as the home. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. The fire pit was an added bonus for our autumn starry and cool October evening.
Pros. Nice and quiet, plenty of room to spread out. Great screened porch. No cell phone coverage.:-) Cons. Tv wouldn't work right. Ramps and steps are very slick when wet and no hand rails

I was quite surprised by the rating since these are some of Donnie’s comments to me after his stay:
“Had a great time.”
“Great place.”
Owner comments:
*There IS cellphone coverage at the property - never had this complaint. Not sure who his provider is but possibly he was in an area of the house where the coverage was weak or maybe the weather impacted?
*The TV does work; we have Direct TV.
*There are multiple entrances to the house - mostly just one or two steps.
There is a handicapped ramp entrance as well.
The teens had such a great time here. We all enjoyed ourselves, very spacious, loved the screened and in porch and amazing shower in the master bath. Cabin was well stocked and stayed cool. The TVs were a challenge to figure out and wind up not using them much but everyone stayed occupied. We really appreciated the use of kayaks, they were fun. It was a long trek to get them to the river and put them away. We enjoyed the seclusion and having a gate to secure entrance to the property, which made us feel safer. Overall, everyone had a GREAT vacation! Thank you for sharing your place with our family!
This property is a 20 minute drive to Wilmore, 10 minutes to Nicholasville. Best view ever, and no surprise cleaning requirements upon check out which was wonderful. We enjoyed the fire pit and walking down to the river. WiFi is weak so be aware in advance. Kayaks could use some attention as it appears they sat (outside) all winter. Map of property was not onsite but I also didn’t ask for one….we decided to explore instead. Very unique property!

The property easily accommodated my entire family. All essentials for cooking and everything else were there! The trails were very good and fun for my grandchildren too. The space was perfect for making puzzles, playing games and just hanging out together! All areas were very clean and inviting.
Very cool, historic property with lots to explore. The house was great, comfortable, and clean. There are plenty of outdoor activities on the property and nearby. Great location for visiting distilleries.
Close enough to Lexington, yet far enough from Lexington. This remote property is uniquely private. We enjoyed a camp fire and laughs without the worry of disturbing a neighbor. At the end of our Bourbon Distillery tours we were about 30 minutes drive back to the property.
My husband and I spent a night Valentines Day weekend. It is a nice property with a large living and kitchen space. Beautiful scenery and antique furniture! Too cold for us to explore the grounds but had fun exploring the house lol. Would love to go back in warmer weather and enjoy the huge screened in porch and back patio with multiple grills and furniture. This is a good place for a group!
