Our two-story ocean-view villa is located in a secure gated community walking distance from Playa Dominicalito, a family-friendly beach ideal for lounging, swimming, and surfing.

The villa has an open concept living, dining room and newly remodeled kitchen with panoramic floor to ceiling windows looking out on to the ocean and jungle below, and a large covered terrace. This villa includes a private pool off the main terrace.

The two bedroom suites with walk out terraces include full ensuite bathrooms. 1 bedroom has a king bed. The other bedroom has 2 twin beds. The bedroom level includes a full laundry room and a small double futon. Due to the sleeping arrangements, the house is suitable for 4 adults and 1-2 children or maximum 5 adults.

The property is two-wheel drive accessible and just off the paved road connecting the towns of Dominical, Uvita, and Ojochal. From our villa, guests may enjoy access to world-class restaurants and points of interest, including Marino Ballena National Park's famous Whale's Tail Beach, Nauyaca Waterfalls, and the Poza Azul.

This place was absolutely fantastic. We stayed for 9 nights. Kitchen fully stocked, plenty of open space in the house. Bathrooms were a great size in both ensuites. The pool steps away from the patio door was refreshing at the end of a beach or adventure day and also for a full pool day. Pleasantly surprised that the pool got sun most of the day or part shade and part sun if you’re looking for mostly one or the other. We really liked the location as it was walkable to Dominicalito beach. Spotted monkeys in the trees on the walk down the road to the beach. Also short drive to Dominical one way and Uvita the other with lots of restaurant options. Felt very secure being in a gated community. We received quick responses and recommendations when we reached out to Olmer the concierge. It was very quiet at night in the area which we liked. Nice short drive to Nauyaca Falls which we highly recommended. Would love to come back with our adult children!

Wonderful house on the hill

The house was perfect for our family of 3. We loved the outside area, view from the deck is so wonderful. Some great restaurants in the area, La Parcella was a very special treat. I would recommend this rental for a family of 3/4 or 5 looking for a quieter location with a great beach winin walking distance. The only thing to keep in mind is the road noise is evedent from the house.

Perfect vacation spot for location and amenities

Lovely and convenient location. Across the street from Domenicalito beach and 10 minutes down the road to Domenical where there are great shops and restaurants and amazing beach! The gated community is very quiet and safe. Highly recommend for 4 person getaway!!

WE LOVED OUR STAY IN THIS VILLA! Enclave of homes has gated entrance. Beach, cafe and grocery store all convenient. Villa surrounded by trees (making it private and quiet) with an ocean view. House is lowest down in enclave so easier to walk back up the hill from the beach! We spent a lot of time outside, under the palapa and in the swinging hammock chair and the comfy furniture. The small pool was perfect to cool off and enjoy in the evening whilst stargazing. It's serviced daily. Very well-stocked kitchen, including many pans, utensils, super blender, coffee maker, wine fridge and ice maker (in big fridge). Living room furniture was comfy - Netflix was much appreciated by our teens.Large ensuite bathrooms and comfy beds in each of the two bedrooms. Air conditioning on the main floor and in each bedroom worked perfectly, but sometimes we opted for ceiling fan cooling so we could just have screen door open and listen to the activity in the trees. Even a ceiling fan under the outdoor palapa thatched roof, making sitting outside very desirable even with the heat. The villa was squeaky clean upon arrival. WE WOULD ABSOLUTELY RETURN TO STAY HERE AGAIN! Pura Vida!

Wonderful Just what we hoped it would be. Alex’s brother , Grieben, gave us a great tour. Giesselle provided a wonderful dinner. The house was charming, rustic with a great view. We saw spider monkeys playing in the trees.

Wonderful home for vacation!

Beautiful home with all the amenities you need ! We ate in at night and found everything we needed to make dinners. Enjoyed watching the various wildlife especially the baby sloth! The pool was perfect after a long day. We would definitely stay here again.

Good ocean view. Jungle setting. Comfortable furnishing. Nice balcony, patio and pool. Drying rack would have been nice. Wonderful steep but manageable 10 minute walk to beach. Intermittant highway noise but tolerable.

We all loved everything about our stay at Sunkissed Properties, it was so clean, and had absolutely everything we needed, we even saw a monkey right in front of us on our balcony , and a toucan, it was just magical, thank you it was a wonderful experience

I am totally in love with the location, there are so many things to do! It was a perfect getaway for our family. The pool amenities were great for the kids and the house was very clean. All the recommendations by David were spot on. Me and my husband went skydiving in the local town.

We loved it!

Dave and Toni’s place was perfect for our family of 4. The location was ideal for getting to all the places we wanted to see, and we loved the town of Dominical and the beautiful beach within walking distance. After our active days we loved sitting on the deck and watching the wildlife and using the fabulous plunge pool. Dave and Toni were very responsive and helpful, and David was able to book a few excursions for us (ziplining, snorkeling cano island). Would definitely stay here again!

Great for couples

We enjoyed the villa especially the patio and plunge pool. Convenient location, close to dominical and uvita. Steep road getting up but 4wd not totally necessary. Property shows a little wear and tear but should be expected with a rental. Overall a great place !

Thanks, John. The HOA will be doing a significant road upgrade soon but we always tell guests that 4WD is a very good idea in Costa Rica because after you get off the main road almost anywhere you might need it!

We had a lovely stay at Canto del Mar. The owner was very helpful prior to and during our stay, giving lots of suggestions for things to do, places to eat, etc, as was the local contact, David. He stopped by and offered his help anytime we should need it. Great location to walk down to Playa Dominicalito and the Poza Azul waterfall. Short drive to Dominical and Uvita. Nice house with comfortable furnishings and a great deck with pool and spectacular view.

We, too, think it's a great location that has a mix of things to do but has a feel of being away from all the tourist destination trappings. And we are so grateful to have David as our local host. Amazing home. Very modern with all the amenitites. Accomodations for our family of four were perfect. We spent the evenings on the beautiful patio watching the animals pass through. The ocean view is wondeful. We enjoyed the pool everyday, the kids loved it! Quiet hillside community with a very short walk to our favorite beach. The owners provided excellent info on the area, and Dave the caretaker was very accomodating. We would HIGHLY reccomend this place to anyone. It is everything as described and better.

A villa with a view!

We had a wonderful stay at Dave and Toni’s place! We were a family of 4 with my 2 grown sons. We enjoyed the view and the pool, especially. The house was clean and just as the pictures showed. Communication with Dave was great. David, the on-site manager, arranged some great tours, and we saw monkeys and sloths on the kayak tour. The surfing lesson and zip lining were also really good. Thank you for helping make our trip to Costa Rica wonderful!

Nice place, convenient location, responsive owner

Traveled with my adult son for a week. The property has all we needed to be comfortable. Had a few minor issues but they were fixed quickly after we informed the property manager. Lots to do in the area. We saw toucans and an agouti from the balcony but unfortunately no monkeys the week we were there.While it's not under the owners' control, there is a dog nearby that barks all hours of the night, and you are close to the road so there is some traffic noise. Overall, nice place I would recommend.

Hi Sara, thanks for staying in close communication with us regarding your stay. As soon as I saw your comments, I emailed the administrator of Canto Del Mar about the barking dog. Barking dogs are unacceptable in our association as they are in most here in the USA. Also, I'm also sorry that the monkeys did not come by. I will send their leader a note and ask them to update their daily migration path so they return to our area!! Glad we found the stylus you left and will have it for you when you return in January. Family Vacation

This property was incredible! Travelling for adventure with a 12, 14 and 17 yr old we struck gold with this place. BEAUTIFUL views, quiet evenings/nights, warm & welcoming property staff. We would walk down to the beach for swimming and surfing. We had wonderful meals at the gorgeous nearby yoga studio/cafe. We enjoyed quick dips in the pool during our early afternoon reset between visiting Manuel Antonio, Dominical and Ballena Marie. A half day adventure and hike to Nauyaca was easily accomplished in the first part of the day making it a magical experience. During an afternoon in the pool we had a lovely visit by the Cappuchin monkeys, including a momma with a baby. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. While it was fun to visit the busier strips of nearby surf towns, coming “home” to this rental in Dominicalito was a blessing. We were so lucky!!!! And the sunrise/sunset views from the balcony were breathtaking

We always dreamed of having a place in Costa Rica. After years of exploring, we chose Dominicalito ( or maybe it chose us!) we love the wildlife, the proximity to restaurants, supermarkets, waterfalls, and many beaches. It is peaceful and beautiful. Everyday is an adventure here

Why they chose this property

We love Canto Del Mar ! Sometimes we will just hike around the roads in the community following the sounds of howler monkeys. It’s close to the beach, yet in the jungle. We always see things that amaze us.

What makes this property unique

We are the first villa in the community with neighbors only on one side (it is very private because of all of the trees and plants). It is not a difficult hill to drive up to get to our villa.
