Great value for the money, it is not perfect, but it was clean and we slept well, which is about all we were there for. If we come back to the area we will certainly consider staying again. Location is nice with so much to do within walking distance.

This place was fantastic! It provided everything we needed for our short stay. It was comfy, super close to the beach, and within walking distance to several great restaurants and bars. Communication was excellent! Would definitely stay here again!

Quaint Location

Loved the location of Gulf Winds Resort! It's located right at the Upham Beach access in St. Pete Beach (wide beautiful beach access), near a lot of restaurants and "beach bars" (some within walking distance) offering great food and live music, and shopping. The condo we stayed in was exactly how it was listed on Vrbo. Spacious, comfortable bed, clean, and a wonderful host who responded to our messages very quickly! We're already looking to book our trip for next summer :)

Nice apartment next to beach. Clean and comfortable place. Only slight negitive is wifi strength which was pretty poor. Property manager responded quickly to any message i sent. Would certainly return!

Upham Beach Stay

This was our second time staying in the quaint condo units across from Upham Beach. We love this area! This unit was as described. We did appreciate Jennifer’s communication in the weeks prior to our stay after Helene and Milton hit the area. We would just recommend you bring ear plugs for sleeping here as the rooftop A/C units nearby are quite noisy.

Had to call the host multiple times, including the key code to get in. was not sent to us when were told it would be. I called Verbo for assistance The toilet was broke and we were asked to fix it. we are not plumbers on vacation. The bathroom was moldy, I have pictures to prove it. Dishwasher was not working properly and there were no instructions. I washed dishes by had for 4 days

The guest tried to cancel their trip 20 days before check in because she thought flights “might” get canceled, she had trip protection so we didn’t need to cancel on our end. Then she called VRBO an hour before check in stating that she didn’t have the door code, codes are sent 30min before check in to prevent guests from barging in on housekeeping. She was sent the code 30 minutes before check in time. At 5pm she claimed the toilet was broken and wouldn’t flush & that a part was taped together & her husband re-hooked it but it needed to be repaired. The next morning I paid a plumber $100 service call only to find out there was No problem with the toilet and nothing was taped. The dishwasher instructions are inside it on a sticker, “load the dishes & press start”. she complained that the internet was out her last night, I called Spectrum & they said it was the entire city outage and it would be resolved in an hour or so. Her total reservation payment to me was $525 including the $125 cleaning fee so we made $400 - the $100 plumber We never needed = $300 for 4 nights and now she wants a partial refund for her “Troubles”. Hosts Beware

Great Location!

My wife and I recently stayed for a week at the end of June for our first mini family vacation with our baby. We were able to talk to Jennifer easily and her response times were quick. We were steps from the beach and the balcony overlooked the pool and you could also see the beach. Our only complaint is that we wish there was an elevator...lol! Since it's a 2nd floor unit we had to make several trips up and down stairs to carry items. Overall it was an amazing trip and we would definitely stay again!

This is a cozy studio apartment in the Gulf Winds complex. It is perfect for a couple and in a good location, just a few feet away from the beach. The furnishings are old but comfortable. We have stayed in the complex several times before and have enjoyed our stays there.

Great rental for the money! Location is absolutely the best. Walking distance from local bars on Sunset way. Directly across from beach the room is good for 2 adults. 1 queen size bed and a pull out couch. If the couch is used the room gets very small. I will book again

Perfect getaway!

This property is perfect! Just a few steps from the beach and all the provided things to go spend time with the family. Perfect spot where its not too busy and you can get anywhere super fast. The host, Jennifer, is awesome and is super accommodating and helpful. My wife and I will definitely be looking forward to future trips back!

Why they chose this property

Please remember less than a year ago our paradise was devastated with 2 historic storms which affected this area tremendously even though we are on the second floor, specifically anything on the first floor ie: entrances & hallways. We have bounced back rather quickly and 95% of places, attractions and restaurants are back up but there still are some unfortunate circumstances and areas under construction so if that is something that could effect your experience in anyway please reconsider. Otherwise come relax enjoy the beautiful beach, weather and experience this paradise for yourself.
