Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms PLUS two private hot outdoor showers make this the best place in Santa Cruz to stay for larger families, groups and people who just want plenty of space near the ocean.

This large sunny house is a premier location for a Santa Cruz getaway. Located on a quiet residential street in an exclusive neighborhood, it is just five hundred feet to Sunny Cove beach, known by locals for boogie boarding and skimboarding. The Monterey Peninsula and its twinkling lights are visible across the bay from the family room and spacious deck. The house is within walking distance to Starbucks, a local brewery, restaurants, a fantastic farmer's market and the harbor, and easy biking distance to the Boardwalk or Capitola. Golf, wine tasting, yoga, rock climbing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and sailing are available nearby.

Not only does our house have location, location, location, there is plenty of room with nearly 5,000 square feet of living space. There are two rooms with queen beds (one with an ocean view), a king bed, extra sleeping space, and a very large room that sleeps 8 children in bunk beds. There is an upstairs family room with a fireplace and ocean view, and another family room downstairs with a fireplace and a huge TV. There is also a game room with a pool table and an additional huge TV.

We have beach chairs, boogie boards, and a selection of wetsuits for your use during your stay.

The backyard has a large sport court surface with a basketball court/pickleball court. Balconies from the bedrooms allow for great views of sunsets.

Our stay was wonderful! The property is gorgeous and the rooms were spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed including a coffee pot, pots and pans, etc. There was enough room for everyone to enjoy and relax. Just steps away from the beach and 12 minutes to downtown Capitola. The host was responsive and very accommodating which eased a lot of worry. Im excited to stay here again.

This home is beautiful. Perfect for my family. Rooms are spaced so no one feels like they're on top of the other. Multiple spaces for intimate or larger family gatherings. We spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying fresh air and views. We will come again.

This is our second time of staying at the home for a week for a family birthday celebration. The house is absolutely perfect! The two downstairs TV/pool rooms were great for kids, the wetsuits were utilized almost every day, and the deck we enjoyed from waking in the morning until bedtime. The house has been remodeled between our visits, and it is top notch. We are already talking about renting it again in 5 years.

Absolutely Perfect House!Over the years we have stayed at dozens of VRBO homes, and this house is certainly among the top three. Extremely clean, great beds and linens, kitchen is very well stocked, and there are activities galore for the kids (and adults). The bedroom/bathroom layout offers lots of privacy and there are quiet areas that are perfect for reading (or a nap). The location is great. Short block to the beach but traffic drops off to almost zero after dark so it is quiet. Everything you need is within a ten-minute drive. And to top things off, the manager is super easy to work with and exceptionally nice. Highly recommend this property.

Fabulous Home for Family Reunion

The Sunny Cove beach house is an amazing property close to the ocean and fully equipped with all you will need for a fun getaway. Our host was responsive and helpful. Our family of 13 adults and one child played pickle ball, enjoyed the beach, and cooked/grilled huge meals in the spacious kitchen. We highly recommend this property for family gatherings.

Such a great house for a group!

This was our second visit to this property. We love the location and the home. This home holds a group so well. We had a day of very bad weather but had plenty to do inside with pool and games and a great kitchen for cooking. We love working with the Shaws and we love their beach house!

Annual Family Trip

We had an amazing, great time in Amber's beautiful home! The space was perfect for our family. There were 12 of total, 8 adults and 4 kids. There was plenty of rooms and spaces for all of us to spread out, but still all hang out, play games and be together. We loved the pickleball court. We had a great Easter egg hunt for the kids. Walked to the beach and farmers market. We do this every year with our family and we all agreed this had been one of the best.

Excellent location and beautiful home

This is our moms groups 20th year going away together. We have stayed at this location 4 times and it is our favorite house by far. The location, size of the house and amenities are perfect. Three refrigerators, 2 dishwashers really help with making our stay easy and comfortable. Not to mention the fully stocked kitchen and toys such as basketballs and pool table. It has everything we want.
