Historic Log Cabin in Eldora! 10 minutes to Ski Area!

Summer is here in Eldora!

Escape to the mountains! Are you looking to hike, ski, snowshoe or just get away and enjoy the quiet? This historic, rustic property is perfectly situated in a neighborhood of quaint cabins in the 1897 mining town of Eldora, 10 minutes to Eldora Ski Area, 10 minutes from the quiet, quirky little mountain town of Nederland, and 30 minutes from Boulder. Rocky Mountain National Park is just an hour away!

Located on a fairly quiet dirt road which is accessible with 2WD cars in the summer and 4WD OR AWD in the winter only. The cabin is approximately 30 feet away from the owner's studio.

Sleeps 4, in a queen-sized bed in master bedroom, a full-sized bed in main floor bedroom, and twin sized sofa bed in the living room. Bed linens provided.

Living room has a loveseat, leather easy chair, ottoman, sofa that converts to a single bed, 50 inch TV with DVD player (selection of DVD's) and ROKU, stereo system with Bluetooth and a record player. Good WIFI. Electric heat in all rooms, and propane heat in the living room.

There is hot and cold running water in the bathroom, sink, flush toilet and a clawfoot BATHTUB WITH A STEP UP THAT CAN ONLY BE USED FORSHOWERS, as there is only a 20 gallon water heater. Towels, soap and shampoo provided. WE ARE ON A DELICATE WELL AND SEPTIC SYSTEM SO WE ASK THAT YOU BE MINDFUL AND CONSERVATIVE PLEASE.

The kitchen is fully equipped to cook and bake, with a propane gas stove/oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster, blender, crockpot and cooking implements. Our well water is drinkable. Complete with Fiestaware dishes, flatware, glasses, coffee, tea, oil, and some condiments.

The yard has a picnic table and lawn chairs, shade umbrellas, gas barbeque and a gas firepit for those cool evenings roasting marshmallows! Smoking cigarettes or 420 is allowed outside, safely only.

We are Gay friendly! We do not tolerate stupid or mean people! You will be asked to leave.

The Real Deal!!

Our three-night stay at this unique, comfortable, historic cabin was an experience we will never forget! Greg, the host, had everything perfectly set up for us to relax and enjoy his extraordinary home. Eldora Ski Resort is nestled in a Colorado mining town, a very rustic, authentic area. Greg's cabin was the perfect compliment for us to feel like we were a world away with a ton of character to go with it!!

Great cabin close to the Indian Peaks wilderness area as as Eldora for skiing and Nederland.

Cozy, authentic cabin with easy access to great hiking and skiing. Hosts are gracious and attentive. We had a wonderful stay and will be back

This is a delightful cozy cabin in the woods! We had a wonderful experience, and the host was very helpful and gracious. It's a beautiful property with a lot of fascinating history. We already want to go back!!

Historic diamond in the rough!

My husband and I (who are seasoned VRBO Premier Hosts) stayed here for 4 nights over New Year's. We had our place rented for the Holiday and while we have a separate residence on our property wanted to do something ourselves to ring in the New Year! This property in Eldora was just what we where looking for and we enjoyed our time there! If you are looking for 5 Star Hilton type posh accommodations, then this place is not for you. However, if you want a piece of Historic Colorado in an authentic western town and true local CO folk then this place is a good choice. It's very close to Eldora Ski Resort and the town of Nederland. Eldora is steeped in History and this house has quite a bit of it too and is a real mini museum of it's own! It was build in the early 1900's and is quant, cozy and comfortable. So, if your not looking for posh and modern but a true authentic piece of the old west then give this place a try, it's a true diamond in the rough!

Again, if you are looking for a REAL mountain cabin experience… you seriously cannot go wrong with this place. If you want gleaming subway tile and glamour, this isn’t for you. Also—Greg (the host) was super responsive and kind! <3
