About this property

Ready for Spring! Cozy , Peaceful Waterfront Cabin in Beautiful Waterloo, AL!

Enjoy a quiet, peaceful retreat when you stay at this one bedroom one bath cabin in beautiful Waterloo, Alabama. The Angler’s Lodge is an updated and clean, cozy getaway.

This is a perfect stay for fishermen, hunters and ATV riders. It is also perfect for those that love to kayak and other water sports. Several guests have launched their kayaks and flat bottom boats from our shoreline. There is a lot of parking for big trucks with boats/trailers. Also, Brush Creek Park, which is about ten minutes away, is home to a new disc golf course.

The cabin is a wonderful getaway for couples and families. It is a great place to disconnect from everything and enjoy being together. There is a very large yard between the cabin and the water that is perfect for games with the family!

We are located about 30 minutes from the Florence Sportsplex and the Savannah, TN Sportsplex. It is a great place to stay when traveling with ball teams.

The water levels of Pickwick Lake and Second Creek are regulated by the Tennessee Valley Authority so water level can be low at times, especially in winter. Also, there is vegetation in the water along the property bank. It may not be suitable for swimming unless one doesn't mind crossing the vegetation.

Cabin is well equipped with a bed and a sofa bed to accommodate 4 people. Bath has large walk in tiled shower. Kitchen has everything you need to stay a few days. The dining area gives you a great view of Second Creek on Pickwick Lake! There is also a large screened in porch perfect for relaxation and watching the wildlife playing in the yard next to the lake.

Cleanliness is of great importance to us. All bed linens, including comforters, mattress covers and blankets, are always cleaned after each use.

There is absolutely NO SMOKING OR VAPING permitted in the house or on either porch.

WiFi and Roku TV are available for entertainment. Passwords will be provided upon check in.

There is a newly added fire pit with four adirondak chairs. Perfect for conversation and making s’mores!

We LOVE pets and welcome 1 dog under 50 pounds . Owner is severely allergic to cats so unfortunately, NO CATS PERMITTED. No pets are to be left unattended inside the cabin at any time. Pets are not to be on furniture and/or bedding. Furniture covers will be provided to cut down on pet hair accumulation. We kindly ask that all pets are disclosed at the time of reservation. There is a pet fee. We have to plan accordingly with our cleaning service after pets are in the cabin.

There is currently no pier at the property (hopefully will be soon) but there are two large public boat ramps 1.7 miles from cabin. There is walking access to water on the property. Several guests have put kayaks and flat bottom boats in right from our bank.

There is a restaurant, the Jailhouse Joint (reopening in March 2023), and a convenience store located a couple of miles from the cabin. The cabin is about 30 minutes away from the nearest grocery store so food and necessities will need to be stocked up on before heading to Waterloo!

There are also two full camper hookups with electricity, water and sewage that can be rented in addition to the cabin rental. This is great for a large family. Notify owner for more information.

The Anglers Lodge is about 45 minutes from Shiloh Battlefield near Savannah, TN, about 45 minutes from the Corinth, MS Civil War Interpretive Center and about 30 minutes from Florence, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia and Sheffield, AL (known as The Shoals). The Shoals has many great restaurants, shopping and lots of rich music history! There is a lot to do within an hour in each direction!

There is a guest information book in the cabin with local restaurant and activity recommendations.

Stay with us once and you will surely want to return!

Perfect Getaway
This cabin was just what we needed. It was cozy, clean, and quiet. Everything was beautiful and just as described. Lynn made the check in and check out process so easy. She even left a birthday cake in the fridge because she knew we were celebrating a birthday. It gave us a beautiful place to relax and unwind. I was thankful she left the Christmas tree up because I loved looking at it!! 5/5 stars. Highly recommend.

Great Place for Fishermen
Perfect place for tournament fisherman, very private, yet in a nice community. Plenty of parking space for truck & boat. Property Manager was great and place was well stocked with cleaning & hygiene supplies, one might forget on a trip. The host left us a real nice unexpected welcome to the cabin gift!

We (the owners) have lived in Lauderdale County, Alabama all of our lives. Two of us are retired military and accountant and two of us are still working hard as an electrician and nurse practitioner.

Why they chose this property

Waterloo was always a special place to all of us growing up. It has been a lifelong dream to own property in this beautiful little town. The property came open and we jumped at the chance to own a small piece of this paradise called Waterloo. Because it is so special, we wanted to be able to share it with others with the same love of nature and quietness.
