In-Town Kennebunk - walk to cafes/restaurants/shops, beaches minutes away
Unwind at this in-town, historic Maine colonial in the center of Kennebunk! This 1800's home has historic charm with hardwood floors, glass doorknobs, coastal details, with USB plugs, sensor lighting, and other modern amenities throughout.
The house sits southwest of Kennebunk center, a 5 minute walk to shops, restaurants, or the library in this beautiful, flower adorned historic town. 5 spots for breakfast, 9 for lunch and 5 for dinner are in walking distance to the house, with the natural foods store a block away. Activities like bowling, pickleball, Saturday summer crafts fair, a farmers market, and ice skating in winter are less than a half mile walk. Two (2) Kennebunk beach parking passes are provided for your convenience!
In Spring 2022, we installed a new cedar outdoor shower and shaded backyard patio for relaxing at home. At the end of the day, gather around the fire pit with friends and sleep well on our new, deep memory foam mattresses. Air conditioning throughout the house will cool you on hot summer nights.

Lovely property lots of space both inside and out, located in a very nice town with easy access to local amenities and visiting many areas in Maine. Erin & Patrick were easy to deal with and provided lots of good information and ideas, we had no issues at all at the house, the welcome gift was a very nice gesture. I would recommend this property to friends and family.

We hope you return to Maine soon and choose to stay with us again!

We had a wonderful week here! The location is perfect for walking downtown and it is only a short drive to the beach. Everyone loved the outdoor shower and the outdoor seating area. We were all very comfortable. The owners responded to our queries promptly and very kindly allowed a family member to stay over with his dog our last night.
Everyone loved the outdoor shower and fire pit.
Great location. Close to Kennebunkport and Wells.
Beautiful beaches and nice restaurants.
Highly recommend.

Thanks to Patrick and Erin for a great stay in Kennebunk. The house was clean, well stocked, and their communication was impeccable. We enjoyed the proximity to downtown Kennebunk and the house suited the needs of our 4 person family + dog very well. They so kindly gave us a gift certificated to a cafe down the street where I had the best blueberry pie of my life!
Wonderful visit to Maine. House was perfectly located to nice walks, hikes, restaurants and shopping. The house was nicely appointed, and had comfortable seating. Would recommend
We really enjoyed staying in this property. Everyone and everything was awesome! Great hosts, very hands on and accommodating! Will definitely use this property again !

We had a wonderful time in Kennebunk.
We have a small dog and it was great to have him with us.
The house is exactly as listed with extra attention to details that added to the stay, such as mood lighting and an airtight sugar container.
The hosts were easy to reach and extremely responsive.

We traveled through Maine with another couple and found this home to be perfect in every way! So much thought went into making guests feel comfortable. Games, beach gear, outdoor space, books, TV, comfortable beds, I could go on and on! Place is spotless, too. I would definitely stay here again.

Sarah, so glad our house worked out well for you to visit with your family. Please come back again, any time, and use it is as your home away from home when in Kennebunk!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would easily book again! The house was a perfect size for us. It had everything we needed and is in a great, walkable location. It is however on a well traveled road, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.
The hosts were also fantastic and very courteous :)

Thank you for your kind words and for taking great care of our house. We are happy you had a lovely Thanksgiving in Kennebunk. We would be thrilled to have you back any time!
We had such a lovely time at Erin and Pat’s home. The pictures do not do their home enough justice. The owners went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and their home was in such incredible welcoming cozy condition for us. Also they are walking distance from Kennebunk, which made for lovely walks in the morning to get coffee or after dinner ice cream. The neighborhood is just like one would envision Kennebunk to be. We would definitely love to stay here again.
We enjoyed such a relaxed, comfortable and easy Thanksgiving stay at “Seas the Day” - a quintessential New England home.
The house is fully stocked and conveniently located, walkable to a variety of dining options, shops and a short drive to beautiful beaches and charming Kennebunkport.
Host communication was excellent, accommodating and welcoming.
We all agreed that this may have been all four of our best experience to date - a really lovely area and home! Thank you for sharing.
Let me start by saying that I have stayed at numerous properties before across several different renting platforms. This property surpasses all expectations listed. I stayed here with my two teenage children and two elderly parents. It was appropriate and comfortable for all. It felt like staying at a friend’s/family home. If there was a question on how anything worked, it was written down previously or a short answer away from the owners. Pat and Erin are exceptional hosts and others should take note on their hosting guidelines/process. I was skeptical on staying with new owners, but my fears were calmed once we arrived. The home was beyond clean, more than comfortable and beautifully decorated. Most importantly, it felt like home. This should be the aim of renters and it was certainly achieved at this spot. Central to everything and even the neighbors were super friendly (we brought our dog). Looking forward to renting again! Also...my parents keep talking about those comfortable beds...guess I know what I’m getting them for Christmas this year! Thanks again!

Thank you Jodi! We would love to have you all stay again, any time. So glad that you felt at home in our house. That was our aim! I’ll send you the mattress details in another note so you can get those in time for Christmas 🤣😉! Also loved seeing the picture you posted of your dad and son doing a puzzle together in the dining room. Truly warmed my heart to see them doing something simple, and fun together in my favorite room!
We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely, centrally located historic Kennebunk house for the Christmas Prelude weekend! This is a very well appointed, immaculate house, with old world charm and new amenities. Between new pots and pans, new bedding, new dishes, towels, and the most comfortable beds, it was the best of everything, INCLUDING a great night's sleep! The welcome binder was easy to understand, and included great suggestions for local activities, places to eat, medical facilities, vet offices (SUPER helpful since they are dog friendly!), and more. My parents, their dog Brynn, and I enjoyed 2 full days of fun and festivities, as the house is only a 7ish min drive into the port. There is a lot to do in K'port, but also in Kennebunk! The house is walking distance to a wonderful natural food store with local and organic goodies, walkable to a Dairy Queen, walkable to a great pub (Duffy's for dinner!) and, thought a slightly longer walk or quick drive, there is an ice skating rink about 3/4 to 1 mile away from the house! Hannaford (for all of your needs) is less than 4 minutes away. I really can't say enough about this house, the friendliness of the owners, the cleanliness of the property, and how much we enjoyed ourselves. We would not hesitate to go back again if the opportunity presents! Thank you Patrick and Erin!
A few words of advice? If you're super tall (6'3" or over) the shower might be a bit tight for you. It has a low ceiling, but still worth a stay! The sprayer detaches, so you can chill in the tub and not have to duck too much ;) I'm 4'11", so I don't have that problem at all.
And if you go for prelude time, be prepared for insane traffic and difficult parking and a LOT of walking in K'port. For the opening ceremony there was a free shuttle (donation accepted) that was at the Sea Road school not far from this house, and that made all the difference the first night. I honestly wish they had run it all weekend--would have happily paid even!

About the host
Hosted by Patrick and Erin O'Connor, Kelly and Jon McManus
Both of us have grown up in New England - traveling and exploring these amazing states - and experiencing so much that this area has to offer. We have family in Maine, love the beaches and historic charm, and the ease and friendliness of New England neighbors. We would like to share this part of Maine with you. We hope you stay in our home, using it as a "base camp" to explore not just Kennebunk beaches and restaurants, Kennebunkport shops and Dock square, but the surrounding coast and amazing areas such Kittery, Saco, and Portland!
Why they chose this property
Our historic Maine colonial built in 1837, is in-town Kennebunk, but at the same time off of main street, so you get the best of both worlds! 5 minutes of strolling down our wide sidewalk to all the restaurants, cafes, and shops in town Kennebunk, but off the beaten path of main street traffic! Want to head to the beach? The closest and our favorite is Parsons Beach - it's just 6 minutes by car or 15 minutes by bike! The other amazing Kennebunk beaches are only a few minutes further north! In Spring 2022, we just installed a new outdoor shower and backyard patio for you to enjoy! Worn out by your day's adventures? All our beds have new memory foam mattresses with hypoallergenic duvets and pillows! (Voted "Best Sleep in Maine" by my mother.)
What makes this property unique
Where do we start? You're walking distance to all the fun in downtown Kennebunk. Waterhouse Center has pickle-ball courts in the summer, or ice skating the winter to enjoy. Garden Street Bowl has an amazing restaurant, modern industrial themed bar, corn hole court and game room to enjoy. We are close to all the great area beaches w/beach passes for use. You can jump on Rt 1 to heads towards Saco, Wells and Kittery antique shops, restaurants and more beaches. We are 7 minutes away from the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, or 6 minutes to Rt 95 to head to the Old Port in Portland. There's hiking/biking trails all around Kennebunk that run for miles. What are you waiting for?! Book our home now and experience Kennebunk like a local!
