Group of 12 of us stayed for a bachelor party and it was perfect! Had plenty of room both in the house and the backyard — plenty close to the water. Would absolutely stay here again!

We loved our stay at the Gem of Jennie! The house was very well appointed - it was clear that the owners put a lot of thought into what guests would need. We were there to attend a family reunion in Darwin, so we didn't get to use all the great amenities offered, so this place is high on our list to rent again next time we're in the area.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! The house is spotless and well appointed. The beds are so comfortable and the bedding was cozy.
The setting is great with a huge yard and great access to the lake. Our grandchildren had so much fun swimming and they all caught fish off the dock!
A great time for all!

This is the second time we have stayed at this home. We and the kids and grandkids loved it as much this year as we did last year. We love the way the house is set up. Games in garage great yard for kids to run in and the swimming and fishing was wonderful. One of the kids even caught a northern pike. Plenty of pans and dishes to cook and serve in. We look forward to our week in this house next year.

Thank you so much for your 5 star review, Ginelle. We appreciate your kind words. We enjoyed having you and your family as our guests.
We were three families with kids looking for a place near the Twin Cities where we could gather for a long weekend and enjoy lake life. The property fit our needs perfectly. Lots of space to spread out, very clean and well-stocked. The swimming off the dock is great but younger kids will need life vests as there is no gradual entry (we brought life vests, but I think the host has some to use as well). Internet was not working when we got there but host was right on it and got us up and running in no time. Host was very responsive.

This property is an incredible property for good old fashioned fun at the lake in MN! The yard is massive which is perfect for lawn games. The garage has games galore and more tables that can be set up. The sleeping situation? Amazing! The kitchen? PERFECT! Thank you to the wonderful host who checked in on us and made sure our experience was one to remember! Make sure to take advantage of that pontoon also!

3 generation family vacation. Quiet lake with boat ramp close by. Large yard. Very well equipped kitchen. Close to town for last minute purchases. Had fun boating, fishing and jet skiing.
This was a wonderful stay, we were there for my sons wedding. We wanted a comfortable stay with room for the kids, a hotel would have been miserable with little kids for 3 days. Everyone had the best time there, so many extra's in the house, games and entertainment. Was way beyond my expectations!!

Very nice property. We had a problem when we arrived but Steve and Kim took care of it quickly even though it was a holiday weekend. The rest of the stay was problem free and relaxing. They have a pontoon available for rent which looked nice, we brought our own and the public’s landing was conveniently just down the road. They have a great setup if you are looking for a place to have a quilting or scrapbooking retreat. We brought our own water toys and games but they had kayaks and a floating pad there as well. Also had a ping pong table and foosball table which the kids really enjoyed. I realize that I didn’t take many photos at all of the property but it is as presented in their listing. I would recommend this listing.

Loved the house and the lake. Great space! The wifi didn’t work our entire stay, so we had to leave a night early. The boat was also unavailable, which was a major reason we booked this property. Owner didn’t notify us that the boat would be unavailable until an hour before we checked in. O

We are sincerely sorry for the issue you experienced with wi-fi and the sudden unavailability of the boat. As we explained, we had no idea the wi-fi wasn't working until you reported it on the last day of your stay. We strive to address any issues that come up immediately and we did so, as soon as we found out about it. We were quite disappointed in the poor condition you left our home. I hope in the future, you will take better care of any properties you decide to rent.
I stayed at this property with a group of girlfriends from all over the Midwest for a girl’s weekend. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond to questions. The home was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully laid out with lots of good sleeping and inside and outside hanging out spaces. The beds and couches were all perfect for sleeping and the provided bedding and towels were perfect. Large deck and open floor plan made meal times with a group seamless. We spent most of the day floating off the dock - not very weedy/mucky at all which was a huge plus! The paddle north was perfect for 6-7 adults and the extra garage fridge made storing food and drinks a breeze. There was also a nice grill, ping pong and fooseball, yard games, multiple smart tvs, and thoughtful touches like s’mores supplies and playing cards. Would highly recommend a stay here!
This house was perfect for our group of 11. It was very clean and had so many extras. Everything in the house was in great condition- all seemed very new- furniture, dishes, appliances, towels, games, etc. The owners were very prompt in answering questions before our stay. The huge yard allowed for plenty of space for yard games. The deck spaces were both very nice. We enjoyed our time and would stay again. Thanks!
The home was exactly as described. Communication was amazing and and the questions we had were immediately addressed. There was a welcome basket on the counter with personalized check in/ information on the kitchen counter when we arrived. We took part in everything the property had to offer: games in garage, gas grill, fire pit, kayaks, pontoon rental, floating pad, outdoor games, walks, and tv late at night. The deck area is undersold as it provided shade throughout the day and we spent a lot of time playing cards out there. We were in the area for a family wedding. There was plenty of parking for family to come spend time with us. The extra fridge space in the garage for drinks/food was a plus. You don’t need to bring your own beach towels as there were plenty on site. There was ample seating both inside and out. The only things I would suggest is a cutting board for the kitchen (that’s The only thing it didn’t have-unless I just missed it) a ladder on the dock for ease in getting on and off the floating pad or the lake, and a picture of the basement area on the listing. Otherwise this home literally has everything to offer in a quiet setting , but close enough to town for shopping or eating out. This was my best VRBO experience to date. If we are ever in need of a place in the area, we will definitely stay here. Thank you for an amazing stay!
