Perfect Mountain Family Getaway with Hot Tub & Fire Pit - Ski, Bike, Fish, Golf!

Our 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house is the place for the perfect mountain getaway. Enjoy the open floorplan upstairs with fireplace, super comfortable sectional, and patio with gas grill right off the dining room. The primary bedroom with King sized bed is upstairs and there are two additional bedrooms downstairs - one with a King-sized bed and the other with full over full bunk beds, as well as an additional trundle. The family room futon adds another comfortable sleeping area. Don't miss the hot tub, the downstairs patio, or the fire pit just behind the house. We love spending time at our second home making memories with family and friends and hope you will have a great time doing the same during your stay.

Our house is ski in/ski out via a five-minute walk to and from the slopes. In the summer, the Granby Ranch mountain bike/hiking trails are steps away from the house. Golfing at the Headwaters Course at Granby Ranch is only a five-minute drive away. Granby Ranch is centrally located between Winter Park and Grand Lake and offers access to a wide variety of activities year-round.

Winter Activities:

SKI: Skiing is everywhere in the area. Ski Granby Ranch resort (minutes away - walking distance to an intermediate run) is designed for skiers and riders of all ages and abilities, which makes it the perfect place for families; night skiing is available and the lifts are within walking distance. This property is also located 21 miles from Winter Park and Mary Jane ski resorts, provides wide variety of ski resorts in the area.

Two top rated Nordic areas are nearby in Grand County - Devil's Thumb Nordic Center and the YMCA of the Rockies Nordic Center if you want to get out and cross country ski. Devil's Thumb has nearly 120km of trails nestled in the pristine and private Ranch Creek Valley at the base of the Continental Divide. It was named #1 Cross-Country Ski Resort in North America by USA Today readers! Whether you enjoy skate, classic, or snowshoeing; there are exhilarating experiences waiting to happen. YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center offers 120K of world-class terrain meanders through pine forest, wide meadows and along Pole Creek. Classic and skate skiing, fat tire biking, and snowshoeing are also available.

DOG SLEDDING: Dog sled rides are available through the YMCA of the Rockies and Dog Sled Rides of Winter Park.

TUBING: Fraser Tubing Hill is also a great family attraction - 15 minutes drive away!

SNOWMOBILING: Grand Lake is a Colorado snowmobiling dream! Bring your own snowmobile or rent one in town. Explore the scenic terrain on your own or sign up for a guided tour. Grand Lake’s 300 miles of snowmobiling trails offer something for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders.

Summer Activities:

BIKE: Ski Granby Ranch turns into bike trails perfect for mountain bikers. Bike Granby Ranch's retail shop provides rental that includes bikes in all sizes and equipment.

GOLF: Golf Granby Ranch, a stunning 18-hole mountain course, is available for all levels of golfers and is open from May through October (weather permitting). Visit golfgranbyranch.com for rates and availability.

POOL: Granby Ranch Pool and Hot Tub: $10 day pass per person via credit card payable at the Ranch Hall, to use the facilities. All children 8 and under are free. The pass is good for the entire day. Renters must present documents that show they are staying in a full benefit member home in order to purchase a pass. A VRBO/Airbnb or any other type of reservation confirmation with address of the home will work as proof.

FISH: Anglers will find rainbow, brook, mackinaw, cutthroat trout, and large kokanee salmon as well at the nearby Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain Reservoir, Grand Lake, and Willow Creek Reservoir.

You can enjoy guided gold-medal fly fishing (catch and release only) on a private section three-mile stretch of the Fraser River providing a peaceful day on the water. Fishing pass can be purchased at the Golf Granby Ranch clubhouse.

HIKE: Access to miles and miles of trails. Enjoy the Rocky Mountain wildlife while exploring the trails you'll discover stunning mountain views filled with wildlife.

Close proximity to City Market grocery store, McDonald's, Subway, Starbucks, a gas station, and a liquor store. It is recommended to have a vehicle to get around and get most of what Granby Ranch / Winter Park community has to offer.

Dining at Granby Ranch base at the Bluebird Bistro is a four minute drive. Located slopeside at the Base Lodge, it features classic recipes. Many other restaurants are also recommended within the town of Granby with great food such as the Tabernash Tavern, Granby Garage Roadhouse, The Grille at Grand Elk, Pearl Dragon, Debbie's Drive-In, Java Lava Café, and Midtown Café.

We had a great stay and really enjoyed this home. Everything about the house itself was wonderful. The only minor downside is that it isn’t truly ski-in/ski-out for kids — adults could probably manage it, but with kids it would have been too far to walk in ski boots while carrying all their ski gear.The views are fantastic, and the access to the ranch is very easy. The home is great for families — the open living area with the fireplace was perfect for games, relaxing, and spending time together. Overall, a lovely place and we would definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay at the house. Very well kept comfortable home in a great location for hiking and biking and with plenty of toys to keep the little ones happy. And a hot tub! The home had a good selection of kitchen necessities and was very well stocked with basic needs for cooking. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Amazing house in a prefect location!

This house is a great rental for a larger group. It was very clean, well stocked, and in a great neighborhood. It's a short walk to the owners lift, which takes you right to the ski area. We also enjoyed the hot tub that is right on the property. This rental had absolutely everything that our group needed, and we had a great trip!

Easy process and good communication. Cabin is well stocked so you are able to fix meals. Good amount of space and beds for 8 to 10 people. Home is located close enough to walk to the nearby ski lift.

Our family of four plus Grandma had a wonderful stay at this house in Granby. Had all the amenities included. Used the hot tub every night with a beautiful view of the Rockies from the back of the house off the deck and patio. Beautiful home! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Clean, spacious, and well provisioned

Our family, with kids ages 8 & 10, really enjoyed this house. It was well stocked with plentiful quality kitchen equipment, bedding and towels, and thoughtful things like chargers, hangars, and paper plates. The hot tub was clean and well maintained, and the WiFi was fast for remote working (or for kids streaming youtube videos of squirrels doing obstacle courses). One house away there's a cut-through to the Granby Ranch trail network, which we explored extensively on our mountain bikes. Plenty of sleeping and gathering space for 8, probably even 10 in a pinch.

Family ski vacation

Property was very nice, close to the slopes and very clean. Communication with the property manager was timely and helpful. She was very attentive to immediate needs. Hot tub was not working properly, which would have been nice to know going into the trip, as it appeared it was being work on. The temperature was good, however only limited jets were functioning. Still nice to sit in when it was that cold!! Kitchen was very well stocked with all essentials and then some. It was clear the property manager and owner care about the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. Would give 5 stars if the hot tub had been working properly.

Perfect location

The description of the property was spot on! Short drive to Winter Park and Grand Lake. House was clean and well stocked. We loved playing games at night on the large dining room table. We would definitely stay at this property again and hopefully will have the opportunity to visit next summer.
