This property was updated and beautiful. Incredible views. Easy access to downtown Grand Lake. Plenty of space. I would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable for our family of 7 people. Loved the quiet location.
The location and view of cabin was amazing! The cabin was decorated very nice, and had games to keep the kids busy however, it seemed a bit dusty. The blinds were very very dusty.

very nice
Overall, very nice. Good location. Quality house with a number of nice features. Quiet and warm, nice audio system with plenty of room.
Would like to see a hot tub on the property and to have the deck shoveled off so it would be usable with a outdoor fire.
The property far exceeded our expectations. It was very nice and very clean. The views of the lake were beautiful and relaxing. We had two families with 9 total people. There was plenty of space and sleeping area. Our kids didn’t want to leave. The process for check-in and check-out were both easy, and the property manager was great to work with! For those that want an enjoyable and relaxing time in beautiful Grand Lake, I would strongly suggest this property!
My group and I were looking for a place where we could safely celebrate our bride-to-be. The Lakeview Lodge was a perfect accommodation for us! There were several common areas that were able to sit the 9 of us comfortably and the kitchen was perfect for making our family style meals.
A word of warning: if you are traveling during the winter or wet months you absolutely will need to have a 4wheel drive vehicle. Our stay was during a very warm March weekend following a nice snow and we were greeted with lots of slush and later ice.

We celebrated my husband's retirement with a surprise trip to Grand Lake. It was a great time! The house is beautiful with wonderful views. Loads of activities near by and some fun shopping down in town. There are several gathering places in the home, with the living room right together with the kitchen. Super bowl was enhanced by the Big television there. We hope to go there again sometime!

Reviewer Comments:
Overall this was a great vacation rental. The directions need work as the property was a bit hard to find. Also frustrating that you had to take your trash into town or else pay $50. Upstairs sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable and almost unusable as a bed. Water pressure was very low and often a sink or shower would not work if something else was running at the same time.

Reviewer Comments:
This is a beautiful house with an absolutely amazing view of the lake. The size of the house was perfect for 2 families (8 people) with plenty of room to hang out. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and even had some spices and oils. The big deck was the perfect place to hang out and enjoy the view. Our only compliant is that the mattresses are all terrible. They are creaky, saggy, and incredibly uncomfortable. We all slept terribly. Sleep is important, and this house would be perfect if the owners would invest in new mattresses.
Our check in process was easy. We requested a late check out Sunday of 1pm because we had an evening flight and had to drive to Denver. The rental office extended the check out from 10am to 11am but insisted if we stayed any longer they would charge us for an entire day. Even though the next renters were not arriving for a few days and the cleaning crew were not coming to clean on a Sunday. This would have been an easy request to accommodate but the “owner of the business” got flustered and unaccommodating upon our request.
The bathrooms need to be better stocked. We only had 5 people staying at the house listed for 10 and even with our small group we were running out of toilet paper and needed to buy our own…which we left doe the next renters. There was a couple of tiny soaps but there was ZERO toiletries to take a shower. We didn’t have body wash, shampoo/conditioner etc. We needed to shower for a wedding and it was disappointing to be without proper supplies.
We found it inconvenient not to have trash pick up. We had to put our bags of trash for the weekend in the car with left over bbq etc and dispose of it in a dumpster behind the rental office. If there is a cleaning crew coming maybe you have a trash bin for the guests to leave the trash and the cleaning crew takes care of the trash dumping. We had to make a couple trips because our luggage and trash bags would not both fit in the car which is a pain when we had a deadline to get out of the house.
When we left Sunday and my sister had left her wedding rings on the counter. I texted the number given to me and we were thankful of the quick response. The rings were retrieved and put in the lockbox for a family member to pick up. Thank you for making the trip to get the rings that was a big help.
The house is nice, spacious and clean. It would not have been easy to fit 10 people in the house as described unless you are putting people on couches?? Overall it was a good place to stay for a couple days with a few improvements in hospitality it would be much better.
House was perfect, and the views were amazing. I use to live in Grand Lake and wanted to take my friends up there to show how beautiful it was. They loved it and I have been to a lot of houses there and this house had the best views.!
The bedroom upstairs near the bathroom over the garage is quite hot. We had a fan right at the window and that did not help much despite it being cool outside. Also the bed seems to droop down in the middle.
A truly beautiful home with lots of room for everyone to have their own private space. Two nice living areas to watch a movie downstairs and the kids can be upstairs watching a movie or playing games. Cozy and comfortable. The rooms are all nice sized and the two bathrooms have double sinks. Close enough yet far enough away from Grand Lake. Quiet location.
Parents with three adult sons spent summer vacation in this spacious, well designed lodge vacation home. Easy check-in and departure. Great location, close to outdoor activities and town. Some beds comfortable, others very noisy. Oven was dirty/ missed by cleaners. Rest of house, clean and well organized.Unfortunate that there are powerlines disrupting an incredible view. Generous linens and well stocked kitchen. Overall, had a wonderful time at this property
The house was nice and relatively clean. I docked 2 stars because the house does not have air conditioning, and that was not made clear in the listing. I would not have paid as much as I did if I had known it didn’t have air (we stayed in July!). Also, the fire pit didn’t work which really disappointed my kids. Owner was responsive. Location was good.
Our group of 9 enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home, with its great views of Grand Lake and Shadow Mtn Lake, well equipped kitchen, roomy living rooms (up and downstairs), and nice deck with propane fire pit. We loved the large dining room table (for up to 10) for meals, conversation, and board games. Doug did a wonderful job communicating with us and helping us with some minor issues and questions we had. He was a great host! One suggestion for improvement: we were there during a warm period (for Grand Lake) and the upper floor did get fairly warm during the day and was hard to cool off at night even with the 2 box fans. Some additional type of venting/cooling/ceiling fans, etc. would have made the upstairs more comfortable. But we loved this nice home. Thank you Doug!
Enjoyed location, house, and the veiw is incredible. Large house everything you need. We have been to this area many times and this is my favorite house.
Doug and his family's cabin is very cozy, tucked up in the mountains with a stunning view of Grand Lake! The kitchen was well appointed, with all of the cooking and food prep items you'd need for a large group. The deck has tons of seating and the home feels incredibly spacious and airy. Would be a great stay year round, but we loved being close to town and the lake during our stay!
Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed the spacious home. It was very comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed to make our stay perfect. We explored Grand Lake and got the full Rocky Mountain experience!
Beautiful house with a great location and incredible views. The space was perfect for 6 adults and 3 kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck with its amazing views and gas fire pit. Super close to town, rmnp and golf course. We had a great time here but would like you to consider a contactless checkin and additional amenties such as showering products and tissues. We were give 2 sets af mini shower products for our entire group and zero kleenex. We also think that with the cleaning fee trash could be picked up by cleaners.
