- A relaxing, coastal getaway awaits you at The Surf Shak, a restored 2-bedroom, 2-bath home in Murrells Inlet, SC. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city life in this quaint fishing town, just 10 miles south of Myrtle Beach. Less than a mile from the delicious restaurants at the Marsh-walk and 1/2 mile to the boat landing.

The AMAZING front porch
-After a long day of soaking up the sun, relax on the screened in porch featuring 2 rocking chairs, porch swing, hammock and fire pit.

The Living Area
-Cozy up on the couch, watch the smart tv or read a book in the large chair with ottoman.

Beds
-The master suite has a comfortable queen bed with soft sheets and great pillows.
-The bunk room contains a twin, full and trundle bed that sleeps 4.

Bath
-Enjoy 2 full baths. The master has a tub/shower combo.

Kitchen/Dining
-Cook your meals in the fully stocked kitchen. Coffee maker or Keurig available.
-Gather with your friends and family at the large farmhouse table with seating for 6.
-Washer and dryer available

- We allow dogs with prior approval of count, breed and size before your stay begins.

We enjoyed our stay at Murrells Inlet. The house was clean and ready for our stay. Our host Rebecca was very helpful with all info. The porch was our favorite spot to relax. This was our first Air B & B experience and we plan to do it again.

Check in was easy and they even allowed us to add an extra day which was a big plus! Loved the hammock on the screened porch and the dog loved hanging out on the porch as I relaxed and read my book!

We were there for Fall Bike Week- the house was perfectly located to watch all the bikes go by. The house was clean and perfect for our needs. We kept a trailer, Jeep, Motorcycle and our 2 dogs at the house. Any needs or questions we had were addressed almost immediately.

This is a Hidden Gem

This property had everything we needed. We especially liked the large kitchen and the spacious screened in porch in the front. And the fact that we were able to bring our dog with us was just fabulous. He had a great time being with us! We had relatives that live in Murrells Inlet and would definitely choose to stay here again when we visit.

Wonderful stay at Surf Shack

This little house had everything we needed and more: it was sparking clean, spacious, well equipped, with a huge master bathroom and a lovely screened-in patio. The kitchen was well equipped with all essentials as well. Rebecca’s communication was top notch! The location was convenient to the Huntington Beach State Park as well, which is a true gem for photographers, birders and nature lovers. We enjoyed it every day during our stay in Murrells Inlet. Our dog who came with us, has asked us to give the house 5 barks out of 5 as well!

Convenient Shak

The property was comfortable, clean and convenient to Rt17. There was an issue with an older stove and the PM addressed that with the owner. Great screened-in porch. It’s an older home with very efficient heater/window units. The TV is Roku so bring your streaming passwords. Overall it’s a good bargain place to stay.

We had a wonderful time!

This Murrells Inlet cottage is Fantastic and Perfect!! Right around the corner from our favorite seafood market (Seven Seas), so close to Pawleys Island (where other family members were staying), fully stocked kitchen - we cooked a lot! Had the family over for dinner since the kitchen table is Large enough for 6 or 7 people. My husband loved the hammock! Our dog loved the screened-in front porch. The Master Bath is Huge! We really had a great time! Thanks for having such a fully stocked kitchen that I could make soup - plus other things. Wonderful Stay!

Check in was easy, the place was easy to find and in a perfect part of town, very close to several restaurants and attractions as well as the beach access points. It was clean and check out instructions were easy, we will definitely be back!

Reminds me of a cabin up north on the lake but without a lake. Older unit but very comfortable!

Wonderful Stay

The house was very charming, LOVED the screened in porch, we enjoyed sitting out there in the evenings. We had everything we needed for our stay. We would select this property again if we are ever back to Myrtle Beach

The Surf Shak has been passed down several generations through the Jones family. The current owners Wally and Allison Jones live in Ft Worth, Texas. They are delighted to be able to share this family heirloom with you!

Why they chose this property

The Surf Shak has been in the Jones family since 1959, often referred to as "the little house". This home has hosted many Thanksgivings and Christmas'. Everyone that has stayed here over the years has felt a connection to the home and left with a profound love for it. We hope you enjoy your stay at "the little house" and make some great memories. It is a special place!
