Great open house! Plenty of privacy, plenty of outdoor hangout spots. Well stocked kitchen, and bathroom. Loved having enough quality towels! Would definitely return! Note... has a kurieg, not a coffee maker, but we were provided with plenty of k-cups . THANKS!

So happy you were able to enjoy a cup of coffee. Hopefully you had a cup on the back deck overlooking all the trees. Seems like you’re in a tree house with the high deck. The home is in a peaceful part of the neighborhood. Hope you can visit again soon.

We live on the NC coast and getting to go to the Mtns is a real treat and this home did not disappoint. From its central location to The Jefferson's and Boone to its open floor plan and wood burning stove. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

So glad you found the cabin comfortable. We felt guest would enjoy the fire pit. All the stone around the creek makes it beautiful. So happy you enjoyed all that the property had to offer.
We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend here with our pups! It was a great private location but was very close to Boone. Theresa was sweet enough to leave us a generous welcome basket. We look forward to coming back. It was perfect for our little family.

So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Change in Latitude! We too love shopping at The Honey Hole and Ash County Cheese! Shopping local is always the best! Thank you for visiting our little piece of the mountains. We so appreciated the lovely candle with wild flowers. Please visit again soon.
This was our 8th stay in the Fleetwood area . We have also stayed in VRBO all over the country, from Fl to CA, to Oh.
This was one cleanest and most stylishly decorated. Plus the decks and landscaping are great.
However, I would not advertise wheelchair accessible

Thank for choosing our home for your stay. We love sitting outside here around the fire pit on the patio.
We felt since there was a single bed on the first floor without any steps to get in, that someone who had trouble getting around would find it easily accessible. Appreciate your suggestions though and will consider your suggestion. Thank you.
Such a cute cozy cabin! My husband, 3 kids and I spent Christmas week here. Private, had everything we needed. The owner even had a welcome basket ready with extra necessities. I loved having a washer and dryer so we didn’t bring home tons of dirty laundry.

I’m so happy to have been your host for your Christmas break. Thank you for taking such great care of our home. Please visit again!
We stayed here two nights for our anniversary and couldn’t have found a better spot. Took a fur baby with us. The place is sparkling clean, tucked away on beautiful land. If it has rained recently, you will need 4wd. Nice linens and towels. Everything is well stocked. Very, very charming! Private, yet not far from West Jefferson. Easy to get to Todd, Boone, Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed it! Perfect for a family and Teresa is an angel!!

Thank you so much for the 5 star review ! Location is key when wanting to travel to many favorite local spots. So glad the weather was great and you were able to enjoy your anniversary! Thank you for taking such good care of our home.
We enjoyed our stay. We used all the fire wood provided but we're unable to leave to get more because of the steep driveway. We burned the wood stove for 12 hrs a day for 3.5 days which was very nice. The kitchen water froze for 3 days because of the weather. The stairs were an issue for us because of our age.
But the cabin was beautiful, nicely appointed and comfortable for us and our fur baby.

So happy you were able to enjoy our large wood stove along with the central heat during your record cold temperature days. Glad you were able to stay warm and toasty. Our roomy master bedroom is upstairs with great views out of the large windows. Please come and stay again and enjoy our warm weather during the spring and summer!
This little cottage is adorable and very private. The driveway is somewhat steep so a 4x4 may be a good idea if there is snow but we had no problem in our 4Runner. Teresa makes sure the kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary items one would need to cook a nice meal. Dinnerware, pot and pans etc were all really nice quality. The wood stove adds a cozy touch to the place if it's chilly outside.
I kept in touch with Teresa during our stay. She was extremely responsive and it's obvious she wants her guests to be comfortable and happy. I accidentally left an article of clothing at the rental and she is kind enough to take time out of her day to ship it back to me which is very appreciated.
Overall, I highly recommend this place. It's comfy, cozy, private and really cute. Also, only 15 minutes from the adorable town of West Jefferson.

This was a Very clean, well-stocked cottage. They thought of most everything you might need. We could tell they were trying hard for a good experience. If it were our cottage, we would move the King bed downstairs near the bathroom. As it is there is a single downstairs and king upstairs. The steps have triangle steps at the turn instead of a landing, which were not friendly in early morning. Even though there are only woods around, the upstairs did not feel private. It would be easier to make the downstairs private since the blinds are up on TV room and bathroom. There were no other blinds. Rugs would help in some areas. Icemaker wasn't working for us but trays were available. A downstairs full length mirror and vanity would be nice. If you need to get up in the night, this is probably not best choice as it currently is configured. The cottage was very close to events we were in town for, so that was awesome.

About the host
Hosted by Teresa Simmons
We purchased this home to have a place to stay when visiting our daughter and son-n-law in Fleetwood. The home had been remodeled inside and we have done lots of work on the outside to add to it's appeal. We take pride in keeping it clean and neat and are happy to share our home with others.
Why they chose this property
This home is perfectly situated between Boone, West Jefferson, the New River, and the Parkway. Whether you come for kayaking on the New River, eating at Daniel Boone Inn, skiing on the mountain, or enjoying a cold drink in down town West Jefferson, there's alway something to do. This home is in the middle of everything. Cleanliness is also important to us for our guest as well as our family.
What makes this property unique
The home is situated on a mountain and is private with a great deck. There are 6 acres with the property and a nice running creek at the bottom of the property. There's a great place to sit near the creek and listen to the running water.
