This is such a beautiful property nestled in the mountains, tucked away on a well maintained gravel road. The cabin was neat and well set up for a weekend get away. It was awesome to explore the trails and the areas around. Definitely will stay here again

This is a perfect place for a quiet weekend. The house is very private but only a short walk to the creek. The hosts have provided every essential plus many extras. Kitchen has everything needed for the cook. Hot tub was great and there is a fire pit and fireplace with firewood, a great deck for relaxing, and a fenced in back yard for pets…very pet friendly with water and food dishes for our canine children. Communication with host was easy and Samantha responded almost immediately. Check-in and checkout was very easy. A great place! Hope to return soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at this very private mountain retreat. The hot tub was clean and just the right temperature, situated on the deck and beside a stream with a tiny waterfall. The kitchen was very clean and well stocked and the beds were all very comfy. Having part of the deck covered was nice on the one day it rained, so we could enjoy sitting out there and listening to the raindrops. Practically perfect in every way!

This cabin was just like described. The inside was very cute and clean. All the decorations made it feel like a cabin. It is a very private and secluded cabin. There's a fire pit, grill, trail, and hot tub for entertainment. You're not too far from Boone if you want something more to do. It just takes about 30 minutes and part of that is driving on dirt roads. We had a great time. The only thing I would say is the outside needed a good dusting, but cute and quaint.

Our stay at this cabin was the perfect escape for our family of six. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how spotlessly clean and spacious the home was, offering more than enough room for everyone to relax. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, making family meals a breeze, and the beds were so comfortable that we all woke up refreshed every morning. We spent a lot of our time on the covered porch enjoying the perfect view, and the small waterfall at the back of the property added a beautiful, serene touch to the atmosphere. The location is ideal for anyone looking for seclusion and a remote, "off the grid" feel. After long days of hiking, the excellent hot tub was exactly what we needed. While we didn't have time to use the awesome-looking fire pit, the kids had a blast with the wide selection of board games and the ample space to play both inside and out. To top it all off, our host was fantastic with communication, checking in to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We highly recommend this cabin for any family or group seeking a peaceful retreat—5 stars and we will definitely be booking another stay!

What a wonderful stay we had! Property was spotless, the views and scenery were beautiful, and the house was well prepared for guests-from kitchen supplies, towels for the hot tub, and two areas for grilling. We will definitely try to plan a return trip in the fall!

About the host

Hosted by Samantha Simpson

Host profile image
We’re a husband‑and‑wife team who grew up in Alaska, where crisp air, quiet spaces, and mountain views were part of everyday life. When we moved to North Carolina in 2013, we instantly fell in love with the Blue Ridge—its rolling peaks, peaceful forests, and that same sense of calm we’d always cherished.

Ever since our first trip to Asheville, we dreamed of creating a mountain getaway of our own. This home is the realization of that dream, and our goal is to share everything we love about the mountains with our guests: the privacy, the fresh air, the slower pace, and the endless beauty of the Blue Ridge.

We hope your stay brings you the same sense of peace and inspiration these mountains have given us.

Why they chose this property

Escape to tranquility in this beautiful North Carolina mountain retreat — the perfect getaway for families or anyone seeking peace and privacy. Nestled on 5 acres, this charming home offers stunning valley views and the soothing sounds of a nearby creek. Mornings are best spent sipping coffee on the covered porch, while evenings invite you to unwind in the hot tub under the stars. Inside, cozy up by the fireplace and enjoy the warmth of a true cabin experience. With its natural beauty, serene setting, and comfortable amenities, this home is your ideal retreat for rest, reconnection, and rejuvenation.

What makes this property unique

This cozy mountain home offers two separate living areas—a comfortable main living room and a loft—giving families, couples, or groups plenty of room to relax and spread out. Step outside to enjoy the private hot tub, perfectly positioned with views of a waterfall cascading down the hillside, creating a peaceful backdrop for your stay.

Start your mornings on the covered wrap‑around porch, sipping coffee as you breathe in the crisp mountain air. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit for s’mores, stories, and unforgettable stargazing. Whether you’re unwinding indoors or soaking up the natural beauty outside, this space is designed for comfort, connection, and pure mountain relaxation.
