+ Efficient baseboard heating system and an "evaporative cooling system"—an evaporative cooler lowers the air temperature by passing outdoor air over water-soaked pads and then pulling the cooled evaporated air into the home. Evaporative cooling systems can be used effectively in the dry desert air of Mesa County. Operating instructions are included in the home but do require a window or two to be cracked open to allow for circulation. This cooling effect will achieve similar home temperatures as other forms of cooling; however, the air may feel more humid and be louder (due to the fan) than refrigerated air units.
