Enjoy the peacefulness of El Cortez on Mustang Island, just three miles south of Port Aransas. This one-bedroom, second-floor condo is nestled in the tropical landscape and offers all the amenities of home. With marine-life decor in shades of green, the open living room features plush pillows, a TV, and a sliding glass door to the balcony with outdoor seating. The full kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal, including spacious countertops, white cabinets and appliances, a drip coffee maker, dishes, and basic pots, pans, and utensils. Sit down for meals at the glass dining table, seating four, with two additional stools at the breakfast bar. The master bedroom (BR1) contains a King bed, a closet, a dresser, a TV, and a sitting area. The ensuite bathroom holds a vanity, a tub/shower unit, and a stackable washer/dryer for your use during your stay. Take in the ocean breeze while sitting out on the patio with your morning coffee or cold beverage. This complex offers a new golf cart accessible boardwalk to the beach. After a day of fun at the beach, cool off in the shared pool steps away, or grill up snacks and dinner on the shared grills. El Cortez is just five minutes from Port Aransas and offers a variety of restaurants, shops, nightlife, and fishing charters.

Property was good, management was terrible

We stayed at this El Cortez property over the 4th of July weekend. The property was as-advertised...a little dated, but otherwise clean and what we expected. The communication with the management company "Life in Paradise" was terrible. Despite repeated messages in the week prior to arrival, I got zero responses. I do not mind being told "no", but just ghosting someone that's trying to plan a trip is totally unacceptable. I own rental property, and would never hire this company to manage my rentals.

I checked your email and text correspondence with Life in Paradise, it looks like during your stay they did in fact respond to the text messages that you sent. I also searched the correspondence you sent thru the VRBO app, I guess that is the "ghosting" you are referring to. After booking the unit, we send you emails from the Life in Paradise email, that is the email that you should direct your inquiries to after booking. We get so many inquiries thru the VRBO app, especially around holidays, it's very hard to get to them all, as wee are focusing on the guests that are in house at the time. We do apologize that we didn't answer your question about early check in, in high season everywhere on the island, that answer is a given, we can't guarantee it. The question about the sofa sleeper, the info is in the description on the VRBO page. We do take pride in our customer service, we hope you have a great day.

Needs overhaul

Rusty mirrors, carpet needs replacing did not want to take off shoes. WiFi would not work. I don’t have to have coordinated decor but cleanliness and ability to relax and enjoy is mandatory when spending money on vacation stay.

Baby moon Vacation

Weekend getaway before baby arrives. The location was wonderful! Easy access to beach, close enough to town to drive but far enough from public access to not be crowded. Room was adorable but needs a little tic/updating. Not all the blinds worked properly. Carpet prob needs replacing (old stains) but overall clean, comfortable and just the right size for our trip. Pool was so nice and easy to enjoy without over crowding. Had a little trouble finding it having never been to Port A, ended up in next door neighborhood and had to call for directions that weren’t very clear.

Worst stay ever

The pics do not do this place justice! There’s rust on everything that’s metal. There were ants everywhere outside the front door and in the kitchen on the counters and by the sink. The smell of smoke and stale air was unbearable. We spent twice as much money driving around in the rain because we couldn’t bear to be in that awful apartment. We didn’t even have a curtain in the bedroom, just a semi see through sheet hanging over the curtain rod! For the amount of money we paid I expected more than this sh*thole. Do not recommend to anyone!

Fun trip

The property was well kept. Bed was comfortable. Only things wrong was, the hide a bed was full of crackers and chips. Had to clean it before using it. The Marlin and blinds were broken.
