The host was very attentive. The amenities not so good: the dishwasher did not work and the front door screen did not fit. The family enjoyed the time away at the place anyway.

We love the Friendship Fortress

Amazing spot for a big group. House is enormous with more than enough space - solid location with a lot of shops and restaurants around. Would definitely recommend!

New year vacation

It was a great experience in the house, we love the space, it is a big house, just for us, big group of family or friends. The house has a good location, near to restaurants and stores. The only thing to improve is to fix the heather, so the whole house specially in the bedrooms can be warm and cozy.

Upside: The house was large enough for our group. Beds were comfortable. They did have slow cooker, but too small, I purchased one and left there for next large group Downside: The outside furniture needs some repairs. I wish there were more family games. I only saw 1 Family Feud, that was fun. I purched a game at thrift store and left there. The dryer was not heating so we ender up going to laundromat to dry. Overall. We were happy with our stay.

OK residence

The place was very spacious, all appliances worked, water pressure and temperature in showers were great. The home certainly could use attention. Have the cleaners vacuum under living room cushions. One bedroom had no access to air conditioning as there was no vent. Back patio had furniture in disrepair. Yard in back and front choked with weeds and broken bricks. The children could not play there. We needed to buy ping pong balls as there were none. Games provided were incomplete. Main floor bathroom has a towel bar with one unattached end. Front glass door doesn’t latch. These are relatively easy fixes and would make the home more welcoming. Any correspondence (email) was answered right away and was cheerful and welcoming in tone. I just feel that at 1,000 a night, the place could have been better.

Family gathering

This property is in an excellent location in Colorado Springs. The property is not well maintained. I looked at previous reviews and saw that the dishwasher was not working. I reached out to the property manager, as the review was older. I was told the dishwasher was operating. We had 12 family members and planned to enjoy meals at the house. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't get the dishwasher to work. In addition, the lazy susan was broken, the couch cushions were held on with safety pins, the yard was so over grown we couldn't let the kids play outside. I will give the beds a 4 star review. Despite the fact that the sheets were synthetic and hot to sleep on, the mattress was comfortable. We were there in late June and it was hot outside. The air-conditioning did a great job of cooling the house, until it shut off a11pm while we were all in bed and we woke up to a very warm house. I wouldn't stay there again.

Our family of 11 stayed at this property during our trip to Colorado Springs. While we had a wonderful time exploring the area, we would not recommend this home to others.PROS:The home has a solid structure and offered enough space to accommodate our group comfortably.Most beds were comfortable, and the hot water supply and heating/cooling were reliable throughout our stay.The washer and dryer worked well, and the home is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to major attractions.CONS:We washed all of the dishes PRIOR to usage because they didn't appear clean to us.The dishwasher was not working during our stay. Washing all the dishes by hand for a party of 11 for 6 days was a major inconvenience.The main floor bathrooms needed curtains. We had to use towels to cover the windows.We found seeds in one of the beds, which raised cleanliness concerns so we washed the linen.The decor is outdated. The living room, dining room, and kitchen were poorly lit, and many fixtures need updating.Some of the furniture was old and either needs to be replaced or removed. Also, the artwork was unappealing; especially the painting in the master bedroom.We could not enjoy the backyard due to overgrown weeds, debris, and old patio furniture.We documented these issues with photos. While the location was great and we enjoyed our family time in Colorado Springs, the condition of the property left much to be desired. We would not recommend this unit.

Family Reunion

Booked this house for a family reunion. Advertised to sleep 18, it had adequate bed space, dining space and dishes for 18. Weather was very warm, air conditioning was working well, kept us comfortably cool. Parking was adequate, on the driveway and on the street. The playground/park 3 doors away was wonderful for the Grandkids. The house sits on a mildly busy street, at the top of a steep hill, so we denied the kids’ bikes or scooters out of caution. Charcoal grill, we left excess charcoal on the premises. Dishwasher did not work. I alerted the property manager who admitted that it hadn’t worked for the last renters either. Nothing was done to remedy that. 4 slice toaster, only worked on L half. Nothing done to remedy that, despite alerting property manager. Garage with 2 large holes in the ceiling. Lots of junk stored in garage. Overall it was a lovely family weekend, yet the accommodations were disappointing as the property manager didn’t answer my request to remedy the dishwasher situation. 3 stars. Won’t stay here again .

Amazing!!!

The friendship fortress was absolutely amazing! The house is beautiful and cozy for how large the home is. There was plenty of space and beds for our group of gals! There are plenty of little activities if you want to stay in the house. Would highly recommend. Will hopefully stay there again one day.

Reunion weekend success

We had 3 small families stay here. House was well stocked and decorated. The listing should mention a pull out couch in the downstairs LR and trundles in the bunk room. It didn't change much for our group but would have been good to know there were other sleeping options. The neighborhood initially looks a little suspect, but there were no issues with the area. It was well located close to everything. The house served us well as a home base for college reunion.

Big enough for 3 families

Three families stayed at the house. We get together once a year and rent a house. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and the adults to socialize. The fences yard was also nice to have. The kitchen had necessary appliance and pans. We did miss some basic things like having pepper. Overall a few things could be worked on, but it was a great house to share with our friends.
