About the host
Your host
My wife and I are high school sweethearts coming up on 40 years of marriage to each other. We have always had an attraction for the mountains spending every vacation here in Colorado until finally we were able to move here in 1999. Our quest for a mountain home lasted almost 20 years and we looked at hundreds of properties. It is almost impossible to find property in a totally private setting with a view of the continental divide and your own private river, but after 20 years...God blessed us with this property. We spend every day that the weather allows us outdoors on our deck, in our mountain flower garden, or down by the river. We both have the gift of hospitality and love to share our home with family and friends. It is our desire that all who come and stay here will appreciate the beauty and majesty of our mountain paradise, and that they would make memories that last their lifetime.
Why they chose this property
Pine forest, mountains in all directions, roaring river to soothe the soul and put you to sleep at night! We are close to Peak to Peak highway for convenience yet far enough away that we don't see or hear very much traffic. We are at approximately 8500 feet in elevation so the Summer temperatures are generally very pleasant, cool enough in the evenings that the hot tub is always very inviting.
What makes this property unique
Privacy including your own private river walk where we have a bench, hammock, swinging chair, and four place table and chairs for "river" enjoyment. Being 11 miles from Estes Park is perfectly close enough to hop in and enjoy the shopping, entertainment, and everything touristy, YET far enough away to "get away from it all" and feel like you own the mountains around you.
