Since the cabin is in the mountains, we recommend all-wheel or four-wheel drive to get up the well maintained but steep gravel driveway. The house is on a quiet mountain street with a private driveway.
The Vilas area is a beautiful place to visit during every season. For those interested in visiting in the winter, Vilas rarely gets more than 1.5” of snow and often clears by midday. However, since the driveway is north facing, it receives less sun, so we highly recommend all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles in all seasons.
For those interested in working remotely, the cabin has great cell phone service and WiFi throughout the house. The upstairs desk and kitchen table are great spots to work from home.
If you are traveling with small children, we provide one pack n play located in the main bedroom closet.
We allow guests to bring up to two dogs. We charge a one-time pet fee of $50 per dog. We also provide one large dog crate that is kept in the downstairs master closet if you need to leave your dog home alone. Please put your dog in a crate if you plan to leave him unattended at the cabin. We also ask that you keep your dog off the furniture.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely incredible! The host was very welcoming and helpful, the cabin was beautiful and cozy! My family and I felt very comfortable and happy during our stay and would definitely return to this cabin if we are in the area again.
Really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Very peaceful and secluded in the woods but very easy to get to/from Boone. Great location, clean and well stocked. Would stay again!

Thanks for staying with us Stephanie! You’re welcome anytime!
Great, easy to get to location. Super responsive hosts. Hot tub and fire pit were a huge plus! Felt upscale while still feeling like a cozy mountain cabin.
Lauren and Will were amazing hosts! The house was absolutely beautiful—spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing stay. We especially loved the hot tub, which was perfectly placed on the porch for a private and peaceful soak. The fire pit was another great touch and made for the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings. Highly recommend staying here—you can really tell they care about their guests

Thanks for staying with us Joel! We’d love to host you again in the future.
Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Generally a nice stay. Unfortunately several minor maintenance issues like no functioning microwave range hood light, island stools with loose seats, tea kettle with missing handle screws, dishwasher with broken soap pod holder…
Absolutely stunning and tucked away for a tranquil vacation but close to everything you could possibly need! Owners are amazing and were very prompt and attentive. We will definitely be back and have already referred family!

Hi Will! We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the beds seem to be a hit! They are the same beds that we have at our own house. We hope to see you again in the future!
We had a lovely time at this beautiful place in Vilas, NC. We greatly enjoyed the privacy of the location and how quick the drive to Boone was. Will definitely recommend!
We had the best time staying here over the weekend of the fourth! It was in the perfect area close to Boone for weekend activities. The house was very clean and the beds were great! We enjoyed the peacefulness of being up on the mountain by ourselves. The hot tub was wonderful on the cool nights. We hope to come back and stay in the future!

Great House and property has everything we needed. Nice being away from the hustle of Boone / Blowing Rock but super close to get to them when you want to venture out. Definitely would go back!

Thanks for the kind words Adrienne! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to host you again in the future!
Our family stayed at this cabin in October, and the view of the mountains and fall colors was fantastic. We have a one year old, and appreciated the provided playpen and baby gate. The cabin was meticulously clean and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the amenities which allowed us to cook together and spend time as a family (there were even games and books provided!). The host was kind and responsive to any needs. Truly a 5 star stay and we hope to book again for a longer trip next time!
Perfect place to stay. My friends and I really enjoyed our yearly mountain trip here! I loved everything about the property. If you do not have four wheel drive do not attempt to drive up the driveway.

My family had a comfortable stay at Vilas. The cabin was very clean and accomodating…just perfect for what we needed. The location was private, but also close to great restaurants and shopping. We’ll be back soon!
