This cabin has the most beautiful views!! The location is perfect as it is private from other canins and yet close to Downtown. The property owner was very helpful. We had a wonderful trip and spent every morning with a coffee overlooking the amazing mountains, highly recommend!
Everything was great except for the tiny 1 lane road taking us in the back way & didn't know we were so close to Gatlinburg. The cabin and location were beautiful in the Fall. Cons* things that didn't work-tv upstairs, no hot water downstairs in the shower so having 2 adults & 2 teenager girls sharing a bathroom had its challenges, fireplace in the living room was LED decoration with no heat & the parking spot at the porch of the cabin was hard to get in and out of.
We actually stayed at "In the Mood" in September, after rebooking our original May date due to a medical issue. First off, the owner Denise is fantastic to deal with. The cabin has a great view, is clean, and has everything needed for a great vacation. It is close to Gatlinburg and the Arts and Crafts district, but feels secluded at the same time. We liked being so close to the National park, hiking, restaurants, all of it. The drive to the cabin isn't bad at all, there wasn't much traffic on the road up all week. Even though it was just 2 of us, it was nice to have space on 3 floors, and we enjoyed many hours of relaxing on the deck in between all the other things in the area. We would definitely consider In the Mood next time we are in the area!

Great View!
The view was amazing! The location was amazing! The cabin was clean for the most part but very dusty, spiderwebs inside and out especially in the top windows in the view you wake up to. Game machine didn’t work and the tub didn’t drain so had to be worked on and wasn’t fixed until the night before we left. The owner or whomever I spoke to was very nice but the game was never fixed while there. We had a great time otherwise!
Beautiful mountain view, big enough to accommodate two adults and two children, three bathrooms, hot tub and enough kitchen space to do some light cooking were my search criteria when I started to plan our family vacation… This cabin was everything I was hoping for and much more. We had lunch on the porch as soon as we arrived as the view was absolutely gorgeous. So peaceful too but just a short drive from the main attractions! Cabin was very clean and had everything we need during our five nights stay. Pool table was a nice bonus and my kids had a blast shooting some pool. The hot tub was a perfect way for us to end our long but fun days. Very cozy theme and comfortable beds made us feel at home. Another thing I loved about our stay is how responsive the host was. Denise answered all my messages almost immediately and even called us after we left to check if everything was ok. We are hoping to come back next year and definitely recommending this property to anyone who is planning to visit Gatlinburg area. Thanks for the memories!
This house was perfect for our family getaway to the mountains! The view on the porch is spectacular! I have 2 small complaints, one of which is not in the owners control. 1. They really need to re-tip the pool cues. We intentionally looked for a house with a pool table. We played a lot, but the cues were in really rough shape. We considered ordering some on Amazon, but they would have taken too long to get there. 2. This house is truly in the mountains. It is amazing once you are there, but beware that the roads are skinny, have lots of turns, and are hard to see at night. I highly recommend getting there for the first time during the daytime unless you are accustomed to roads like this. We are from the city and this drive was so stressful for me as the passenger. Just a warning…definitely worth it though once you are there. We had an issue with the tv that was in the game room but the host responded quickly and came while we were out to replace it. Wonderful experience!

Nice but Need some work
It’s a beautiful cottage overall. However, The Place was dirty. Shower curtain on 1st floor was badly mildewed, plus it was leaking so we couldn’t use it. I contacted the host and sadly it couldn’t be fixed when I was there. (The toilet cover was loose and fell apart just from closing the lid after using in the same bathroom). There was no hot water in the basement shower so we couldn’t use it. We use the upstairs jacuzzi for baths, it took forever to drain before each one of us used it. The dishes in the cupboard was dirty. I used a pot, it was old with broken handles. The lights by the outside Jacuzzi need fixing.. The foot end of both beds loose and shaking.. Lots of cheap broken stuff in there need to be replaced. A security box would be beneficial. The 🔒 to patio needs a handle. The outside Jacuzzi and a pool table was the best thing in that place. Again, It’s a nice place but seems like they rented it in a hurry. Much to be done!!
Comfortable property with everything ypu need for a pleasant experience. Cozy and warm. Amazing views everywhere you go around the cabin. Quiet and well maintained property.
That’s really what this place felt like! It was amazing. The house was nice and clean and gorgeous. It has a beautiful view. It’s tucked back enough that you really don’t hear anyone else in the surrounding cabins. Just the sounds of nature! We had bears visit us every morning which was amazing. This is a perfect place to get away from the city but close enough to enjoy the city if you want. It was only 11 minutes from downtown gatlinburg. The whole time we were there we kept saying we wished we lived there. The downstairs game room was a fun bonus too! Hot tub was amazing! Clean and hot just wonderful. Would definitely definitely book here in the future!
