About this property
Historic Boat House on "The Water's Edge" of Cape May Harbor
Spacious two bedroom one and a half bath home with a third bonus room that offers an extra sleeping area plus a cozy chair to relax and read a good book. Smart TVs in both bedrooms plus Smart/Cable TV in living room. Kitchen is equipped with all your basic needs/equipment for preparing a meal (plates, glasses, flatware, pots, pans, blender, coffee maker, and more). And if you choose not to cook, there are a least 7 restaurants / bars within walking distance as well as a 24 HOUR WAWA.
We supply basic paper products that you will need (toilet tissue and paper towels) and basic cleaning supplies to help maintain and keep "The Waters Edge" the same clean condition as when you arrived. We supply sheets for all beds as well as bath towels and wash cloths. We encourage you to bring your own beach towels. There will also be 4 beach chairs with CAPE MAY BEACH TAGS attached. These are seasonal tags and are needed for Cape May Beach Access. These chairs are stored on the deck for your use. PLEASE DO NOT LOSE THEM. Another amenity provided is FOUR bicycles that will be on premise with bike locks attached.
Yacht Avenue is a very popular street for vacationers so parking can sometimes be tight. As a small community we all work together to help each other and we please ask our guests to do the same during the duration of your stay. If you have a Compact-Midsize vehicle, you can park directly in front of the property / home. Additional parking can be found directly adjacent to the Wawa 1 block away if traveling with multiple vehicles. (PLEASE REFRAIN FROM PARKING IN FRONT OF OTHER PROPERTIES ON YACHT AVE AS THERE IS LIMITED PARING FOR ALL)
As Cape May is a top ten vacation destination, parking is difficult throughout the island, not just on Yacht Ave. We suggest using bicycles when possible to visit the island restaurants and shops as it will give you an additional perspective of our quaint little town.
Lastly, please respect our neighbors in regards to noise, loud music, etc. "The Water's Edge" is the perfect place to relax and relish in the calm of Cape May Harbor.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We loved waking up and having coffee on the back deck looking at the water. The boat house was truly a unique experience and my daughter has already asked when we can go back.
We had an absolute blast staying at the "Historic Boat House". We chose to get takeout for our dinners during our short stay and eat on the deck. Just an awesome, clean, and comfortable home to stay in.
We had the most wonderful stay at this beach house! The views off the deck are amazing and the atmosphere was peaceful. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed…from towels to dish soap. The bedrooms were incredibly comfy. The host was extremely welcoming and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. We will be back!
The home was perfect for our family. Very clean, wonderful location. The owner had everything we needed in the home. We definitely will be staying here again!
It was a beautiful property, and so relaxing. The perfect place to celebrate our coast guard graduate. There were several issues outside of the host's control, but Brad was very helpful, kind, and rapid to respond. We would stay there again anytime!
This is a great house, with a wonderful view of the Marina. It was cool watching the yachts prepare for their voyages. In walking distance of great restaurants and a WaWa. Easy bike ride to the beach. Great stay!
Very well appointed - everything was well thought out. Nice appliances and furniture. We had a wonderful relaxing stay at an adorable boat house with exciting boat action to watch. The owners cared about what you might need during your stay which really showed.
When we got there the house was immaculate. Everything you need is provided. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with very nice neighbors, also the views off the back deck are spectacular. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing vacation! Will definitely be staying there again!
Excellent location with a great view of the marina. We enjoyed watching the huge yachts come and go. The place was very clean and stocked. We didn’t need anything. Highly recommended.
My sister, kids, and I decided to try something new this beach trip. Staying on the harbor was the best decision. We spent our mornings drinking coffee watching the boats and water and our evenings ordering in to eat on the deck. We had a spectacular sunset as well. You are right by the dolphin watching boat and right by poverty beach. We did sunset beach and poverty beach this trip and loved both, but favor poverty beach. You won’t regret booking your stay here! Close to everything.
Easy walk back and forth to the marina and restraunts. Clean and comfy, fabulous water pressure and plenty of hot water. Pm took care of internet problem quick.
the property was unique being a house boat. it may look a little dated from the outside but everything was new and comfortable on the inside. Little details make the difference. communication was excellent both prior to and after checking in. easy check in check out. location, location, location. the rear deck with the view of the water, ocean going sailboats that were docking across the water made for a relaxing enjoyable stay. wonderful.
Coming from North of Virginia, I knew about Cape May but it never been. Years of going to Delaware beaches….what a loss for us. Cape May is Victorian, stylish and just a beautiful place.Better than Bethany or Rehobeth! Our host was perfect. The home was thoughtfully decorated, walkable to everything including restaurants, the beach, shopping, a wonderful way to spend a weekend. It surpassed our expectations! We want to stay again:)

Thank you for the kind words Ann. We look forward to hosting y’all in the future.
Upon our arrival in Cape May, we checked into this lovely home and found everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The house was be nicely decorated and well stocked with paper goods, kitchen supplies, and linens. The owner welcomed us with 2 bottles of local wine, and a gift card to a local restaurant! The house was comfortable and had plenty of space to relax and enjoy, but the back deck overlooking the water was the highlight of our stay. We loved having coffee, meals, and drinks overlooking the marina. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property.
Our Family, Twin 6 year old boys and us had a great stay at this location. The house was unique and clean. We enjoyed breakfast, wine, and fishing on the patio/dock. The views and sights of all the boats were very much enjoyed by the boys. The beds were of good size and very comfortable!! Such a great time and communication with Brad was very quick and professional. Thank you again!!
This time of year is the best time to see all the big yachts coming into the marina for a night on their way south. Spectacular to sit and watch with a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers! The house itself is fully stocked. No need to bring any supplies. Very clean. This was our second time here and we hope to return again next year.
The ‘Water’s Edge’ was a perfect place for my family to rest, recharge & make wonderful new memories in Cape May! The accommodations were perfect for us and every thoughtful detail was so appreciated. The property worked well for my family, comfortable beds, great fans & air circulation throughout, preparing meals was no problem in the kitchen.. all kitchen gadgets, coffee machine, etc. were great! We used the bikes, beach passes & chairs daily. The beautiful view and space on the back deck was extra special any time of day or night. Thank you again for a perfect stay for my family 💛🌞
The property met all expectations from the listing content. The home was very clean, stocked with all general needs, well furnished, and possessed a lot of charm from the finishing touches and decor for being a short ride to the beach and literally above the harbor water. A convenience store (Wawa) is very nearby and a supermarket (Acme) is not far away. Upon arrival, there is helpful information and a gift for adults awaiting. There was plenty of space for a family of 4. The surrounding area from Cape May to Stone Harbor to Wildwood offers plenty to see, taste, and do among the beach and water activities, shopping, restaurants, breweries, and wineries.
This historic Boat House was amazing. Literally right in Cape May Harbor, water, boats and birds. And great sunset views. What more could you ask for?
Did i mention close to the Cape May Zoo (wonderful), downtown Cape May (very nice), restaurants close by, and the South Jersey Marina where you can catch a boat tour for Whale and Dolphin watching, and Salt Water Marsh Safari for birders and environmentalists.
The house, which is a Boat House, had all the essentials necessary for us senior citizens: clean, soft beds, AC, and great kitchen. But the best for last....the outside Deck overlooking the harbor and marina. You really can live out there during your stay. Water's Edge is Heaven's Edge.
