Charming rustic cottage by the lake

The cottage was stocked well for larger families. Also was very clean and comfortable. plenty of parking available.would highly recommend this cottage.

This was our 2nd time at this property and we were comfortable both inside and out! Really enjoyed the big swing out front and relaxing in the adirondack chairs around a beautiful bonfire in the fire pit! The large yard was perfect for our portable cornhole set up. We grilled on the covered patio and sat out on the porch for morning coffee watching the fog lift off the lake or reading a book in the afternoon. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking, baking, coffee making! The only thing we had to borrow from my daughter who lives in town was a can opener but there may have been one we didn't discover! The large kitchen table was a plus for meals, family game nights and crafts. There were fans in every bedroom and 2 AC units. The washer and dryer was a plus! Our host Aimee kept in touch with info during the week and was very responsive to any questions we had. I highly recommend this property! I'm sure we'll be back!

Family vacation

The property was beautiful the view was amazing..we loved being on the lake..very easy to rent pantoon boat for the day...only downside is there is no central AC only fans to some that may not matter but it made for uncomfortable sleeping.. overall I would stay again.. very clean home..the fire at night was wonderful!

We do not advertise or promote this property to provide AC. Nothing changed in the description of this property from when the guest reserved the home. It seems a bit unfair to be critiqued on something we do not offer.

Perfect for us!

We had the best week enjoying all aspects of the guest house from the outdoor swing, fire pit, big backyard, front porch chairs with great view to family dinners around the big table with a kitchen equipped with everything we needed to prepare those meals! Relaxing conversations in the comfy living room! Our host Aimee was quick to return any messages we sent or questions we asked! In everyone’s opinion it was a great experience!!

Lovely house overlooking Cuba Lake

This property was as described - quaint, cozy and conveniently located. We had a family reunion over the long weekend and found that the property included almost everything we needed. We did have a problem connecting to the WIFI. The password would not work and we had to reboot the nest and the router which meant changing to the factory password. We reached out to the host through text, phone and through the VRBO app and it took many hours for her to respond. By then, our son had figured it out but that was 36 hours into the visit. Sounds like no big deal - it was nice not to have TV - but it severely limited our ability to connect with the outside world. We have T-mobile and there was zero cell service in the house. We stood on the porch to talk or text and without WIFI our communication was very limited. But - we enjoyed our stay. Cuba is a cute community and we had a fabulous breakfast at the Kopper Keg on Main Street. All in all, a wonderful experience.

They were able to do some diagnostics remotely but looked like the hardware was disconnected. Our apologies for the inconvenience and kudos to your problem-solving abilities!!! The house worked out great and was in a nice location. Having coffee in the morning and watching the sunset at night from the porch overlooking the lake was beautiful. Four good sized bedrooms and 2 big bathrooms worked great for our family of 6 adults and 4 kids.

Cute house, nice location

The good; the house is cute and an earshot to the lAke. Weather is good in even winter months so you can walk around easily. It is fast to get to olean and Cuba to shop and walk around, get food, etc. House is laid out well, the upstairs is huge and the living space is good. It was clean, and the yard is a good size. The kitchen had everything needed ans the bathrooms had so many towels. The oven worked really nice. There are ladybugs EVERYWHERE they were not bothersome but there are sure a lot of them. My kids loved it. The bad: The water does not smell great, maybe we’ll water, I am not sure but it was sulfuric smelling “eggs”. There is no phone service. I have ATT and when my family members who live in the area visited they also did not have phone service. This was not a huge deal for me, but I can see how it could be for someone else staying here. The heat: is hard to work The check out time; different on the posted info on the refrigerator than what is emailed and advertised (not a huge deal) This WILL be the house I now stay in when I go to olean.

Thank you, Cara for the kind review. While the house does have a brand new water filtration and softener system installed, we are aware of the high mineral count in the well water. While it may be therapeutic ; ), it does have a bit of smell. We will continue to explore ways the alleviate it but happy to hear you will be back. You'll be welcome.

Nostalgic for us. We visited Cuba Lake19 years ago and stayed in a family cottage very similar to the Guest House. The perfect cottage feel and two full bathrooms was a treat.

Weekend at Cuba Lake

This property was more than enough space for my family of four. We came up from Florida to celebrate my grandfather’s 100th birthday. This place was super convenient to Cuba with a beautiful view of the Lake each morning. My kids loved the little loft area and my husband and I enjoyed the old fashioned charm of this place, especially the canvas prints from around old Cuba. We will 100% stay here again!!!

Great family lake house

Communication with property owners was great, check in & out process was easy to follow. The house itself was beautiful, roomy, and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again, also considering one of their lake front properties for future stays at the lake.

Lake view guest house

We had a great week visiting family and really appreciated the location of the the Lake view guest house. A large 4 bedroom house, 2 full bathrooms, and extremely clean. The owner Aimee reached out several times to ask if we needed anything. There was an air conditioner in one upstairs bedroom was greatly appreciated as our week had very high temperatures. Thank you for a great stay Aimee!
