New home with awesome views of the Ashokan Reservoir and the Catskill Mountains beyond. Energy Star home with radiant floor heating throughout, two car garage with electric door openers, and open attic deck with hot tub to sit and view the stars at night, and the reservoir in the day. Eight miles to Woodstock Center


The House: House was completed in Jan 2008. All floors have radiant floor heating. All appliances are new. Two car garage with electric garage openers. Snow removal will be handled for the driveway, but renter will be responsible for snow removal on the attic porch.

Location: On the southern side of the Ashokan reservoir. Amazing views with tremendous wildlife. Bald eagles fly past. Wild turkeys, deer, and many birds walk the property. Am amazing wildlife setting

Nearby: About 8 miles to the center of Woodstock. Crafts People store only a couple of miles away.

Friendly and helpful owners, gorgeous clean house and centrally located to many attractions. What more can you ask for? We had a great time exploring the outdoors as well as taking in the views and wildlife at the house.

Perfect getaway!

We were only able to spend a short time here but plan to go back for a longer stay soon because we didn't want to leave! Tom and Cindy were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is gorgeous, clean, wonderful views, warm (we went in winter), wonderful gas stove! We absolutely loved everything about it!! We can't wait to go back!

Great place to relax & unwind

Stayed here with a couple friends for the weekend. Amazing place. Clean, well kept, has all the amenities you could want: a/c, bbq, great views, full kitchen, plenty of space, garden with veggies you can use. Owners are very friendly and easy to work with. Close to Phoenicia, Woodstock & Kingston. I would highly recommend this place, wish we could have stayed longer.

Great Place!

The owners of this home, Tom and Cindy are very welcoming of guests into this beautiful home. We did some hiking, shopping at woodstock, visited the Karma Triyana Dharmakaya monastery, went out to eat, etc; all in just a couple days. It was always great to come back and just relax in the hot tub and enjoy the wonderful views. Our dog loved the hike along the reservoir too!!

Excellent rental

We had a great time and would rent again in a heart beat! The home is great, the proprerty and views are picturesque and very close to Woodstock and area attractions. The owners were super nice, great communication and were always making sure that everything was as we had hoped. I have rented three different properties in the Woodstock area and this is one of the best. Thank you Tom and Cindy for a great experience!

Spectacularly wonderful in every way!!

This home is absolutely lovely with spectacular views. Tom was awesome showing us around upon arrival and checking in throughout the week to see if we needed anything. It was great to be able to vacation with our dogs! The rooftop hottub is a slice of heaven. House is comfortably equipped with everything you could possibly need. We cannot wait to come back!

had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful house with incredible views.The views are great from everywhere even most places inside you feel like your outside.The house itself was perfect.The property ,garden and grounds are also awesome.And I cant say enough about the hosts,They were great.I hope to visit again soon.PS make sure u walk down to the Reservior but get your DEC pass not that you need it.5 Stars Cant wait to return

Amazing house with perfect views!

I rented this home as an anniversary trip with my boyfriend to relax away from the city. We were 100% satisfied with the house- everything you needed was there! The hot tub on the roof was fantastic and the views from all windows of the house were absolutely spectacular. We would love to come back at a time when the weather is warmer. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking to relax and spend some time we nature. Thank you for a great vacation!

Fantastic home in beautiful location

I stayed for 4 months in this home overlooking the Ashokan Reservoir near Woodstock. The location, views, and amenities were all superior. The house itself is beautiful, the location idyllic, and furnishings very comfortable. The grounds are amazing, and lovingly cared for. The owners are incredibly kind and responsive. This is their home, not a rental property, and comes with all the comforts. A hot tub with a breathtaking view is the icing on the cake. I would most highly recommend this home and the owners as superb.

Thanks for renting with us. Larry was a great renter, good communication, non demanding and pleasant. We have never rented to anyone who had cats before, and that was the one small glitch that made it hard when we returned, I have some bad car allergies!

Perfect place for a mountain retreat

My husband and I had a wonderful time during our stay. It was breathtakingly beautiful day and night. Easy drive to stock up on groceries and lots of great local wine and baked goods (try Meredith's Bread!) Wonderful kitchen for the cook. We were able to bring our pup Rose who loved the patio and sunning herself on the warm stone. Mosquitos kept me indoors in the evening (they love me!): bring repellant if they love you too! Highly recommended.

Amazing location, outstanding hospitality!

My wife and I rented this beautiful home located on the Ashokan Reservoir and Catskill Mountains. Tom is the most attentive host! He checked in with us everyday and met us at the house upon on arrival. The views are breathtaking. The weather was perfect. We used the grill one night and some of the herbs from the garden!! The location was perfect for us to make trips to Hyde Park, Hudson, Woodstock and Rhinebeck. Thanks Tom and Cindy!

Beautiful views, great home!

Our family enjoyed the Thanksgiving weekend at this home overlooking the reservoir. The home was very well maintained & comfortable. The owners were friendly, welcomed us at the home when we arrived & checked in via text each day to see if we needed anything. We had one question about the home and the owner was quick to call and explain. All in all, we had a fabulous time with local hikes, soaks in the hot tub, fun cooking in the fully equiped kitchen, and time spent together! And our family dog was welcomed and enjoyed the yard and hikes! We would stay here again!

Wonderful house and garden, location, owners;-)

Our family of 6 (with two teenagers and two younger ones) stayed here for a week mid-August and we loved it! Tom and Cindy have a beautiful house that they take fantastic care of. It was very clean, very well organized, the hot tub was a treat, and they have a wonderful garden that we could enjoy also for fresh vegetables. Tom and Cindy are wonderful hosts: smart, relaxed, organized and fun. We went fishing, went to Woodstock, visited the Blue Hole, toured the Catskills. Overall, a truly wonderful week. Tom and Cindy - you guys are the best!

Doggie paradise and relaxing atmosphere

I’m not sure who enjoyed this house more, the dogs or us. We all had a wonderful time relaxing and we all felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. I can not thank you enough for being so dog friendly, especially big dog friendly! We enjoyed sitting and taking in the view while the pups explored. I guarantee you won’t have any chipmunks in the immediate area for a few days. We took in the local hiking and had a good time learning about the reservoir. I recommend this place if you are looking for a kick back atmosphere.

You will say wow when you pull up to the house, when you walk through the house, and seeing the view

The house and view are even better than advertised. Perfect place for a couple's (and dog) get away but large enough for families. The house was warm and comfy. The kitchen is large and has everything you need for cooking. The view is just like the pictures and it was a joy to see the sun hit the mountains while having morning coffee. The owners are outstanding - some of the best communication we've come across during our travels. We felt very welcomed. They even returned some clothing we left behind IN PERSON while they were travelling near our own home. Thank you! Absolutely recommended.

Best vacation home with awesome views!

I really enjoyed staying at Tom and Cindy's beautiful home! My husband and I had a long exhausting year of wedding planning so this was the perfect relaxing quiet vacation! The house is amazing and the views are incredible! Couldn't ask for anything more! It was about 15 minutes from Woodstock, 20-25 minutes from Saugerties and Phoenicia. We were able to visit all 3 towns which was great! Tom was great and would text everyday just to check in and see if we needed anything, he was great at showing us around the house and how things work when we got there so we were thankful for that. Tom and Cindy are super hospitable and I can't wait to come back and enjoy their home! You need to rent this home, it is awesome with amazing views, peaceful and quiet. It's really a little slice of heaven!

Amazing home with breathtaking views!!!

This was probably one of the nicest houses we’ve stayed at in this region. It’s not a house but a home. Cindy was there to meet us even though we were running late. She took great pains to show us around the property and was even prepared for the worst case scenario (we stayed there over a very windy, snowy weekend), providing us with flashlights and water! The home is fully equipped with everything you need - the beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, there are games, books, movies (Netflix!), WiFi, the hot tub is absolutely wonderful and my husband and I, our 9 year old and the dog had the best time!!! It snowed one day and we found sleds in the basement so we sledded down the long driveway! If you are in the area, this is the home to stay in, for any season!

I would give it 10 stars!

Tom & Cindy were awesome and so welcoming!! This is the first house we stayed at that the owners actually greeted us! The views are spectacular even when raining. You also will not be disappointed by Cindy’s gorgeous garden where hummingbirds will pop in and zoom around you to say hi. We didn’t see any bears ;), but had plenty of bunnies and even a few deer walked part way up the drive way to say “Hi!”. The house is also amazing with two great balconies, a hot tub and a huge bathroom with rain head shower that I wish I had at home. There are plenty of good eats not far from the house. Highly recommend the Blue Mountain Bistro and their panini’s! Also be sure to stop at the “Crafts People” gift shop 6 minutes down the road. Hard to tell on the outside but the 4 buildings on the property have amazing crafts and jewelry hidden inside. They even offer you ice tea! I can’t say enough about this house or Tom & Cindy’s hospitality. Especially their accommodations for our two dogs who loved the hikes. If you are waffling between two properties, pick this one! You won’t be dissapointed!!

Amazing Weekend Getaway

If you are looking for a beautiful place to get away from it all, then this is the place for you!! My husband and I stayed Fri-Sun in early May for our anniversary weekend. Upon arrival, Cindy and Tom met with us, showed us the property, asked what we were interested in doing, and provided us with maps and brochures of things to do. They were absolutely wonderful to deal with....very nice, genuine people. The house is new, very clean, and well maintained. Bed linens, towels, toiletries, and kitchen items are all provided. There are stunning views from everywhere in the house! Our favorite, of course, was the hot tub on the 3rd floor deck. Words can not even describe how beautiful everything is from up there....not to mention how unbelievably relaxing it is! Although we could have spent the entire time relaxing at the house, we did venture out for some hiking, eating and exploring. There is a great trail right near the house that brings you down to the reservoir that you see in the pictures. Other places to check out are Poet's Walk Park, Overlook Mt, the Lighthouse and the Waterfront at Kingston...all very enjoyable for those who like to be outdoors. For a good breakfast try Duo in Kingston or Love Bites in Saugerties. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to rent from Cindy and Tom again!!

Unforgettable Hot Tub Paradise in the Catskills!!

Wow, what an incredible house to rent - we are totally coming back here whenever possible! This was the best weekend getaway spot I have ever experienced in over 19 years of living in NYC. We made the most of our winter anniversary weekend away from Brooklyn with this beautiful new house and AMAZING hot tub on the roofdeck - totally relaxing with incredible views of the mountains, reservoir and unadulterated skies / stargazing. We also enjoyed the bird and chipmunk watching through the windows, as there is a birdfeeder right outside the back of the house. We loved the location - very close to Kingston which we loved, and not too far from Woodstock either. Foodie paradise in both towns due to the close location of the Culinary Institute of America! It was too cold/snowy/rainy for us to do much hiking but plan on coming back in the spring/summer/fall timeframe to enjoy more of the outdoor activities in the area. Frankly, any weather is good hot tub weather! There was an army of nice clean fluffy towels supplied as well. The bed was super comfy and the availability of Netflix/cable/DVD was great to have in close proximity of the cozy gas stove to warm us up after the hot tub. Temp control was perfect inside despite the freezing weather outside. The chef's kitchen was wonderfully appointed as well, but we didn't end up spending much time in the house other than hot-tubbing and sleeping. The house itself is huge - you could fit a large family or troupe of friends here very easily. The owners are friendly, responsive and helpful as far as directions and restaurant recommendations. The views from the house and elongated loft style window are stunningly picturesque. All in all, I would wholeheartedly recommend this property and fully intend to come back to relax!!!

Amazing place to unwind

My wife and I needed a retreat with clear views & quiet after a very stressful weeks of intense creative productions. This house was It. The hosts Cindy and Tom were available and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The space is modern, clean and cozy at the same time. The views ,through the floor to ceiling windows , of the reservoir; spectacular. We highly recommend this beautiful home and look forward to coming back soon.
