The lake tiny house at mid lake camp was so cute and clean. My son and I were very comfortable there and it even included free kayak rentals which was fun.
The little cabin was perfect for my husband and I. It is in a great location just steps away from the boat launch and marina. We enjoyed our stay.

Thanks Shelly! We are happy that you enjoyed the cabin. Just as an FYI...We should have our waterfront cabin 10 that sleeps 2 ready in early September and available for your next visit. Hope to see you guys back at Mid Lake Campground!
Loved the cabin. It had everything thing you needed. All you have to do is bring your food they and drinks. Enjoyed the swing on the front porch while it was raining. The boat dock/slip was right across the road. Very quiet area and we enjoyed it so much we plan on going back again.
Sure enjoyed our 2 night stay in Cabin 5.
Everything we need in a cute, clean (and I’m picky) cabin.
We had a little issue with the t.v. that Lisa immediately took care of.
The area and lake is pretty and we were also entertained watching the neighborhood woodpecker.
We will definitely be coming back.

We are so glad you enjoyed the nature Mid Lake Campground offers and we looking forward to having you back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I couldn’t find my code to get in the door, however communication with VRBO and the site manager was very easy. The cabin was clean and inviting. There’s a bunk with a trundle bed, so three twin beds and a queen bed. The cabin stays nice and cool for when you’ve been outside in the heat. There’s a coffee/keurig with a mini coffee bar stocked. They provide paper towels and plenty of dish and bath towels. The swimming pier is great and just a short walk, bring floats because it’s deep, we rented a boat slip which made it very convenient to come and go fishing. We caught a little bit of everything. The front porch swing is great and cabin 5 is right in front of the boat launch. Overall it was great and I hope to come back.
We loved our stay. Our cabin was right across from the lake. My fiancé that someone stole his boat one morning. Come to find out, the weather was bad and the winds were over 70 mph! 😳 His boat broke away and was up against the bank. He was so shook up he couldn’t call the police. Leslie helped us and called them for us. I can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay despite the boat scare! Look forward to having you back soon!
This super clean, cute cabin is located directly across from the marina. There isn't a number on the cabin, which would have been helpful as we were not sure we were in the right place. Upon arrival, we were unsure the cabin could have all of the amenities inside since it looked very tiny on the outside. But it did! It was clean and updated just like the photos showed. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 to spend a couple days away from home. The location is not private; it is in the middle of a neighborhood with houses and permanent campers. However, the neighbors were all very kind and friendly! There are not any trails, but we rode bikes throughout the neighborhood. We fished at the marina and built campfires in the fire pit both nights. The pit does have a large grill that we used to cook on. There is a small convince store that stocks 1 or 2 of whatever you would need besides fresh produce. It was helpful for us since we forgot s'mores. Inside the cabin there is everything you need to cook a meal except for knives (there are butter knives). There was popcorn, sugar, spices, and creamer which were all very nice to have. There were more than enough towels in the bathroom. The beds were so comfortable that we looked at the brand before we left. The heater worked well, and we were snug at 73°. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely stay again!
Nice people managing facility. Leslie was very helpful and efficient answering my questions and adding to my reservation. Plenty of room to park 21 ft boat. Outside power outlet. 3 miles from nice boat launch. Ethanol free gas at facility. Clean cabin. 30 min to Sam Rayburn. Neighbors dog barked when owners were home.
My boys came home with lots of fish tales from their stay. Will definitely be renting again next year. The neighbors made the stay even more memorable. It is such a nice little community. Had several questions before check in and Tina was always quick to respond back to me and helped make the trip the best it could possibly be. Thanks again.
This cabin was beautiful on the inside and out. It was very neat and clean, and we will definitely be back!

Why they chose this property
Mid Lake Campground was created about the same time that Toledo Bend Reservoir was created in 1968. Back then, it started life as KOA. You will still see the original A-frame convenience store at the entrance to the property along with original Texaco sign at the Boathouse. Generations of families have shared a lifetime of memories and return regularly. The bluff over the lakefront overlooks what was the Palo Gaucho Bayou before the lake began to fill. The Palo Gaucho ran directly beneath our 16-slip boathouse and sits over 20 feet of water, which is why we have such amazing crappie fishing below our dock.
What makes this property unique
Mid Lake Campground and Cabin 5 is perfectly situated for a great fishing trip, a day on the lake, or total relaxation taking the amazing lake views in the clean country air. You can catch your limit of Crappie right under our boathouse, or visit the famous gator hole only 2 miles away by boat where you just might catch a trophy bass. We are 3 miles to the main lake, and 6 miles to Cypress Bend.
