The home was clean and had everything we needed. The staff was nice and courteous. The home was only a few steps from the boat house. Our family enjoyed the stay and will probably be back.
I really enjoyed my stay, The location was perfect for my fishing needs. Centrally located, clean and well equipped. I enjoyed my three night stay very much. Tina and Mike were fine hosts.
Took a few days to take our son bass fishing at Taledo Bend. The weather didn’t cooperate but we had a great stay anyway. Clean low-key fishing camp. The house was great.
Property was nice. Bathroom a little small. Overall very well kept. Staff very nice and accommodating. Not cheap but comparable price to the area. Very limited restaurants in the area. I would definitely stay here again.
I feel like an extermination of the house would help. There were spiders and flying bugs and mosquitoes inside and on covered deck. WiFi needs upgrading. The guy that came over was extremely helpful. The boat ramp was very bad. I would stay with Mid Lake again, but would not use boat ramp. The amenities inside 336 were nice. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
The place had everything we needed and was very clean with plebty of parking. We had three cars and a boat trailer. The beds were very comfy. The deck was a great place to enjoy the outdoors. The owner was very fast to reply to our needs. Boat slips were easy to access and boat launch was not steep. The general store had what we needed with very fair prices and reasonably priced gas
The house was very up-to-date. The place was extremely clean. The bed was more than comfortable!!! We were so very pleased at the place.
The fishing was amazing at the docks. Got plenty of crappie every day and every night. We will definitely return next year. We have found our next vacation spot when we travel to Toledo Bend Lake!

Thank you so much and we look forward to having you back next year!
They meet their target audience perfectly. Great for fishermen. Just what you need. Centrally located on the lake. Not far from resources. Covered boat parking. Boat ramp available.
The communication was superb. We did have an issue with sugar ants, but it was addressed immediately. They came out and got us all fixed up. The house itself was so cute and very clean. We will be back!

Thanks for the kind review. We are happy to report that sugar ants are now gone after thorough treatment. We look forward to your next visit!
Was very impressed with this place. Rental provided everything to cook and live. The neighbors and workers in the park were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Great communication from owner and park manager. We enjoyed the covered porch for hanging out and the place is very updated with extremely comfortable furniture and beds. The lake view is nice and the store located on the property was a big plus for nicknaks and snacks. Five stars!!!!!!!!
Stayed here for a High School bass tournament. There is a boat ramp on the property but it was really steep so we used one at the bridge in seeing distance from the property. Great little place with covered parking for a boat with electrical outlets. We enjoyed the fire pit both nights. The front porch and view were great. Nicely renovated Trailer with modern inside. Some of the nicest locals that lived there, they always stopped to say hi when we were outside and they even gave us some pointers on fishing hotspots close by. Gave it a 5 out of 5, couldn’t have asked for better!

Why they chose this property
Mid Lake Campground was created about the same time that Toledo Bend Reservoir was created in 1968. Back then, it started life as KOA. You will still see the original A-frame convenience store at the entrance to the property along with original Texaco sign at the Boathouse. Generations of families have shared a lifetime of memories and return regularly. The bluff over the lakefront overlooks what was the Palo Gaucho Bayou before the lake began to fill. The Palo Gaucho ran directly beneath our 16-slip boathouse and sits over 20 feet of water, which is why we have such amazing crappie fishing below our dock.
What makes this property unique
Mid Lake Campground and Commander's Cove is perfectly situated for a great fishing trip, a day on the lake, or total relaxation taking the amazing lake views in the clean country air. You can catch your limit of Crappie right under our boathouse, or visit the famous gator hole only 2 miles away by boat where you just might catch a trophy bass. We are 3 miles to the main lake, and 6 miles to Cypress Bend.
