Newly installed air conditioning and the only one of its kind at Mauna Kai; Mauna Kai 8B is one of the largest condominiums available on the island of Kauai.

This 'home in paradise' features three bedrooms plus a sleeping loft along with three full bathrooms. Inside you will enjoy the newly furnished family room and a large and fully equipped kitchen. Outside there is a wrap-around lanai that affords you beautiful views of Kauai's famous green mountains and beautiful waterfalls. Enjoy your lanai as you watch the rainbows come and go from the mountain side mist.

Need to cool off after a day at the beach or hiking one of our many trails? Enjoy the largest condominium swimming pool on the North Shore. The pool also features a covered pavilion and barbecue area. Exquisite tropical landscaping adds the final touch to a fantastic vacation spot. Off the site surrounding area is as inviting as is your condo. The location is very close to restaurants and stores, and just a short drive to Anini Beach. Spacious rooms with lots of upgrades. We had an excellent stay in December 2025 at this condo in Princeville! Check-in was simple and retrieving the key at lockbox was as expected. We had eight guests (four adults and four kids). There are three full bedrooms (I noticed on the virtual tour of the condo the third bedroom wasn't shown. It is the first door on the left upon entrance, and has two twin beds. and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and not feel like you are cramped or invading each other's space.The beds were good for all of us, as were the pillows. Overall it was comfortable once we got a good pattern of using the fans or A/C to moderate the temp in the rooms. The lanai was excellent to enjoy the breeze and just relax in between activities. We felt the condo was very clean upon arriving and there were plenty of towels for each bathroom.We checked out the pool one day, it was pretty chilly, but bearable once you were in the water. That being said, it was December and the high temps were in the upper 70's. There are items for using at the beach in the storage closet. Some items that were included were beach chairs, camping chairs, boogie boards, sand/beach toys, and some hiking poles (at the time there were two sets).The kitchen was fairly equipped with all the basics you would need to cook at the condo. There were plenty of dishes and utensils for the eight of us each meal.Parking is limited to one car, but we were always able to find a space. Great condo and location!

Vacasa manager Mahea was amazing! This property has very comfortable beds and the lay out of the condo allows for privacy in all rooms! Teenagers loved the pool. Great stay!

We had a great stay in Princeville at Mauna Kai 8B. Everything was in working order. The Vacasa representative was very accomodating and answered all questions and made sure we were well taken care of. We would book here again. Kauai is beautiful. We were so sad to leave.

Parking was the only downside

Everything was wonderful except for the parking. We had a full condo for 8 but we had to rent 2 cars to accommodate 8, and had no option to add another parking space.

Best Lanai Ever

We didn’t expect to use the lanai much, but we were all kind of obsessed with it by the end of our stay. Lots of seating—we ate many meals out there! The beach gear—chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, sand toys—was a nice bonus! This is a very spacious property surrounded by beautifully maintained landscaping—it felt like our own private botanical garden. The pool was nice and We would gladly stay here again!

Large, clean condo sleeps 8 comfortably. Wonderful beach items to borrow in outside closet including chairs, snorkel equipment, umbrella and kid sand toys. Has a pack n' play for a little one to sleep. Great customer service and easy self entry. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Stay away. This unit looks good in pictures but is not set up for a vacation rental. The whole unit needs an overhaul. Not with duct tape like they used to fix the handles of the screens, nor old screws to pretend to keep the oven handle attached to the over (which fell off 2x while baking, and 2nd time we stopped using the oven. The beds need to be taken to the dump, the bathroom needs plumbing so as to not flood the floors, the walls need drywall so that the exposed pipes are covered in the downstairs closet, the old cardboard box needs to be removed, and the kitchen needs proper utensils for a rental unit. A can opener, sharp knifes, etc would be helpful. Overall. the family members that had to stay there were disgusted by the conditions. They actually were talking of leaving early due to the stress of it all. So, in the end, stay away. DO NOT RENT.

Huge condo. We had 4 people. Could easily sleep 6 or more. Plenty of space to spread out. Nice and clean. Washer and dryer was a plus. Unit had AC but we didnt need/use it. Lots of windows which we like but unit is surrounded by other units so not much privacy unless you close all the blinds. Convenient location to Kuhio hwy and north shore stuff. We really enjoyed the unit but wouldn’t stay here again simply because we’d prefer more privacy.

The location was great

The location was great. We always found a parking spot. The pool area was very nice, but we spent most of our time at the beach. The grounds were well kept. Close to sidewalks and access to running or walks. Just over a 5k to run to the cliffs and back. Close to the Princeville Market for food and supplies. The house was mostly clean. We had some dirty dishes, some burnt out lights, some minor maintenance things. My kids hated the plastic on the bed upstairs. Here's the thing, it worked great for sleeping. We only spent the nights there. It was a nice area, safe, and worked perfectly for us. It was closer to a 4.5 than a 4 star. It was just very minor things that did not ruin our vacation in any way. Communication was great and timely. I do not think you will have a bad experience. A little TLC and this place is easily 5 stars.

Wonderful place to stay!

We had such a great experience staying here. The apartment is large and very comfortable. The porch that wraps around the apartment is incredible and it has a lot of seating. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. There was air conditioning in each of the bedrooms. There were basic salt and pepper and other spices that were very useful. Plenty of dishes and cleaning supplies. Everything was very clean. Lots of games to play and books to read. A closet full of everything you could need at the beach, although the umbrellas were mostly broken. Still, there were masks and snorkels, lots of sand toys, 2 beach chairs and a camping chair, boogie boards and even flip flops. There were nice beach towels to use and plenty of regular towels as well. The area is stunning and the grounds are so so beautiful. We loved every minute of our stay here. Plus, the grounds manager was the nicest and most helpful guy. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay with our family.
