Lakeside family Retreat is the perfect lake house to escape and unwind with family and friends. This 3/3 home (plus loft) backs up to a private pond (AND sandy beach and lake) with a spectacular sunset view off the back deck and lake, with best views from the beach and inside the hot tub.

Walk out past the firepit & down to the sandy beach. Yes!! The lake & sandy beach are in your back yard!! The Boat ramp is approximately 1 mile from the lake house. There is so much to do including building sandcastles, build a fire outside, and watch the beautiful views. Obstacle course added for kids with swing and small zipline!! For an additional fee you can store your boat, RV, or have access to a few of our toys (kayaks, water trampoline, lily pad, blow up paddle boards, and beach chairs) located in the barn onsite.

We know you will enjoy gathering with family and friends in the open concept living room. The kitchen is well equipped with cookware, bakeware, utensils, a full set of ceramic plates, outdoor plastic dishes for great meals plus lots of space to cook on a large island with bar stools. We are super excited about all our new appliances. Brand new (2023) Jenn Air gas cooktop, Samsung Wi-Fi enables microwave oven, dishwasher, and Smart refrigerator. Walk outside to cook on the propane grill and eat watching the sunset at the table or enjoy the view from the newly installed hot tub.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor. With brand new AC/Heat system. The first bedroom has a KING bed with a rolling crib. The second bedroom has a QUEEN bed. The third bedroom has a FULL over FULL bunk bed with a TWIN trundle. Upstairs offers a spacious loft with a QUEEN sleeper sofa. Roll out the ping pong table when you are ready to play. There is an upstairs bathroom with jetted tub, separate stand-up shower and laundry room with washer and dryer.

When staying at our retreat you will have loads of fun on the sandy beach, in the hot tub, fishing in the private pond, sitting by the firepit, grilling outside and watching the spectacular sunsets over the lake. We also added a small obstacle course (with little zip line for kids 3-15) & swing outside for kids to enjoy. As our guests have said, “Don’t wait, just book” this “hidden gem!”

But if you want to sneak away to the casino, Creek Nation Casino, is only 25 minutes away. The Fountain Head Creek Golf course is a quick 17 minutes away and right next to Fountain Head Air Lodge Air Park if you have a private plane needing an airstrip. During the summer the kids can enjoy Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park (waterpark on the lake as shown in the pictures) which is just 25 minutes away. Lake Eufaula State Park is 20 minutes to the West with hiking, mountain bike trails, horseback riding and fishing.

Parking is onsite next to the house.

We may check in with guests via email or text, but are otherwise available when needed for questions or maintenance issues. There are cameras outdoors onsite to monitor when home is empty, and watch for uninvited guests as home is water front.

You will need a car or ATV to get around the neighborhood and Lake. Please do not park forward of the carport - that is Army Corps of Engineers land.

Reach out if you would like to store vehicles or boats in the barn onsite for an additional fee. Barn access also gives access to additional lake toys including water trampoline, lily pad, beach chairs, and canoes.

Fun shortcation!

Lakeside was my family's first VRBO experience and it set the bar high. Lauren's thoughtful communication started before our stay and it was quickly apparent why reviews were so great. The property was not only a fun place to stay, but it had a cozy comfort. Ping pong, the beach, and the sunsets were our highlights!

Fun Weekend!

This property is better than its pics, and the pics are great! Incredible views of the lake. Property was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends and family. We could have just hung out at the house if we wanted. Doesn't have to just be a lake house weekend. Property owners were very responsive and ready to help.

Lovely lake views and property

The Lakeside Family Retreat offered the perfect amenities for a long weekend getaway with family. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable spaces on the porch, in the large kitchen/dining area and gathering spaces. The beds were comfortable with luxury linens. The lake was quiet during the week and a great place to take the dogs for a walk, fish or kayak. Be prepared that the public beach is a popular spot for boaters enjoying music, swimming, fishing and jet skiing. Overall we got what we needed, a bit of family time, relaxation and a swim on a lovely sandy beach.

Memorial Weekend

We had a phenomenal time. The view from the back porch is absolutely spectacular and if you want to enhance it climb into the Hot tub as it is perfectly placed. The beach is in front of the home and it is a happening little spot where boats pull in to socialize throughout the day. The home is exactly as expected as well it has great decor and the king and queen beds are super comfy. The fire pit was setup and ready for us as well as all the fixins for s’mores for the kids. The owners communication is top notch. You won’t be let down at this Great Eufala Retreat.

Ideal house and location

We found this house super cute, clean and comfortable with ample space to spread out and enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Lauren, our host, was very responsive, and helpful; really looked after us! Everyone especially loved the outdoor deck overlooking the pond and lake. So peaceful and relaxing in the mornings, and a great place to gather with family and friends in the evenings. The hot tub was also a welcome retreat during cooler evening temps. The kitchen was super clean, well stocked, and finished with high-end appliances. Great gas cooktop! Although the lake level was very high due to recent rain, there was enough beach area to put in our kayaks and hang out at the lake when we caught some clear skies. We loved everything about this house and location, and are already looking at the calendar for dates to rebook!

Perfect lakeside retreat!!

My hubby and I stayed here over holidays in December. Could not have been more pleased. The house is so spacious with so many spots to chill and unwind. I imagine this home perfect for families and couples too...as it is simply so accomodating in its floorplan. Highlights were the awesome hot tub (very high quality for rental property), gorgeous decor of home's interior and upkeep (whereas so many lakehouse rentals can be run down), gourmet kitchen to cook all our meals, and the super comfy TV nook with the best couches ever. Plus lots of land to romp and play and secluded beach right out front door. We enjoyed our winter retreat so much and can't wait to return in summer for all the water activities and fun in sun. Highly recommend!!!

Great Stay!

What a great weekend we had with our family. It was amazing and relaxing here at this wonderful house. This lakehouse home was better than we anticipated. Great surprise to have the new hot tub! The house was roomy, the kitchen well stocked and the beds were comfortable. Although we were outside at the lake or on the back deck and in the hot tub most of our vacation. Lake access was right in the back yard. The owner is such an amazing person, she was quick to respond & so sweet. If she didn't know the answer she tried to get it. I highly recommend this breathtaking lakeside view on the back deck and hut tub overlooking the water. We will definitely be returning!

Great Lake retreat

We had a great stay in early Fall here. The house is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully set up for everything you would need. It’s a beautiful location on the lake with a large sandy beach. The grounds are woodsy, open, and great for kids. We traveled with kids ranging from 18 months to 8, and from the baby gear like a crib and high chair to the games and chalkboard wall to the zip line outside, it was a great weekend for all ages. The owners where incredibly responsive and helpful. Great stay, would highly recommend!

Beautiful, comfortable home with amazing sandy beach access

I have nothing - LITERALLY NOTHING - negative to say about this home! The photos don’t do this place justice - it’s absolutely beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxing lake vacation. We were there for five nights/six days and all of us were sad to leave. We enjoyed all of the living areas…we had enough space to chill alone and read or hang out all together or in small groups. The beds and couch were extremely comfortable, as was all of the outdoor furniture. Mornings were spent taking coffee on the porch while watching the sunrise over the lake, just the hubby and me while the kids slept in. Evenings were spent down at the beach playing with our dogs and floating around watching sunsets, hanging out with our teenagers. The beach is gorgeous and has a literal “beach entrance” with a gentle slope that slowly gets deeper. We walked out over twenty yards and could still easily touch (adults). Could definitely see bringing smaller children as the slope would allow beach play without drastic drop offs. The sand is soft, fine sand (not rocky) and it continues out far into the lake - no nasty mud between your toes here! Plenty to do within a short drive - or day trips to some larger areas as well. Lauren was amazing - from the moment we booked to the day we arrived home she answered any and all questions (and I had a lot!), checked in on us, and offered suggestions for shopping and outings. This was our first VRBO experience and she made it effortless, easing my worries and helping me with everything we needed. Communication was so excellent and she always replied quickly. If you are looking for an relaxing lake getaway - this hidden gem will not disappoint! Thank you so much Lauren for helping us have an amazing vacation we will never forget!

Excellent Host & Endless Lakeside Leisure

From booking to post checkout, our host was extremely responsive. This is not their first rodeo. We celebrated a birthday/anniversary weekend at this retreat, and could not have been more pleased. We had several children along for the stay, and they had just as much to do as the adults. From board games, to ping pong, fire pit s’mores, and a backyard swing… when we weren’t in the water they were busy! I was a little worried about traveling with an infant, but a lounger, crib, and high chair could all be found when needed. The water was a very short walk to the sandy beach, and many other lake goers could be found for socializing. If going before noon or after 7, the spot was remote with no other occupants; which was well enjoyed. Even sweeter, we were able to load and unload our boat at the ramp a very short drive away. We made use of kitchen supplies, and enjoyed grilling out without worrying if we had what we needed. This meant extra time was spent on the porch with amazing views of the water. We’ve stayed at many lake houses before, with family homes on Tenkiller and the Guadalupe River. However, none have been this well prepared and clean! Lake life can be a little dingy, between bugs and sand; but their cleaning service was top notch. We could definitely tell that time was spent on preparation, and it was so welcoming. Lastly, the host left a celebratory gift which paired well with our dinner. We would definitely book again. If you’re on the fence, look no further!

Quick getaway

My husband and I booked this rental for a quick getaway from Dallas. Once we arrived, we were very impressed with the upgraded house, beautiful decorations, and brand new hot tub! The view from the back deck was spectacular and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The host was quick to respond, very friendly, and accommodating with all requests. We definitely plan to visit this lake house in the future! This would definitely be a great place for families, as well!

We have managed a local rental property for over 20 years and started our first vacation home in Durango Colorado (Cliffside Family Retreat) 8 years ago.
During Covid, Colorado was a little too far to go for weekends and so we purchased a house on the lake for our family to retreat to. Thus, the Lakeside Family Retreat was born.
We are a busy family with 4 children (spanning from 8-25) who value escaping the city and spending quality time with them, their friends and our extended family. That is why we created our retreats to enjoy with so many. Unfortunately, we are not able to escape as much as we want, and we want to share our family home with you. Why they chose this property

We love everything about this home. It is large enough for us to bring friends or family with us which is my biggest joy. It is right on the water and has beautiful sandy beaches just steps away. The back porch has plenty of seating to watch the sunset. We just bought a hot tub and can’t wait to watch sunsets from there.

What makes this property unique

We believe our home is unique because we not only renovated our home inside, but we have the best views on the water with a sandy beach. Not all lake fronts on Eufaula have sand. Its pretty special.
