This was a cozy house to stay for a brief stop in the Marquette area. We enjoyed our brief time there.

The perfect stay for our family of seven - space to spread out with common areas big enough to gather. Only 15-20 minutes from most attractions in the Marquette area, making it a great home base for our adventures.
The place was amazing! Lovely location and great surrounding area. Everything we needed was there for us and we didnt have a day where we had nothing to do.
This property was perfect for an adult weekends up north for a bike race. The place was clean, comfortable, and met all expectations. We'd absolutely stay here again.
We visited the Marquette area and had a blast. Our place was cozy, quiet and comfortable. We were minutes away from the city, but felt like we were out in the woods.
Visiting family that lives near NMU and this location was perfect. We wanted something private and out of town but not too far from in town amenities. The house was very clean, fully equipped and Nora had the place ready for us a lot quicker than the booking said check in was. I would definitely stay here again if we come back into town.
The house is clean, quiet, and located close to everything. The yard is beautiful and we enjoyed the fire pit as well. Everything was exactly as the online description stated. We really felt at home and we do plan on coming back. back.
The house was clean and cozy. The decor was good too. A big washer and dryer in the basement were plus. I stayed for four days, and it was perfect for four of us. Plenty of sitting areas in the living and kitchen areas.
A Peaceful Family Space Close to History and Adventure
We spent over two weeks at the house this summer and would absolutely return! The house fit our family of four perfectly with our teens taking the upstairs rooms. The kitchen is amazing for prepping family meals and is well provisioned with cooking utensils, place settings, etc. The dining room table served as the perfect board game setting after supper! The house is only 10-15 minutes from small groceries, fuel, and local restaurants/stores in Negaunee and Ishpeming as well as Marquette. There are incredible activities nearby both historical and adventuresome that are well worth exploring - and it is the perfect home-base for Pictured Rocks, Copper Country, and so much more! We hope to be back to stay again!
We had a great time at this house. It fit our two families great and was very clean and welcoming. It’s an older house but the owners have made nice updates in the kitchen and bath to make it very nice.
I thought the property was a good value. It was a very quiet and private location outside the town in the woods. The home is older, but the kitchen and bathroom were modern and well equipped. Bedrooms were also nice, clean with good mattresses. Other nice upgrades as well such as windows and doors. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.
Wonderful stay in the woods.. everything was nicely done to make an older home feel clean and ready for our stay. Great base camp for our mountain biking/hiking/ college orientation family weekend! Enjoyed peace and quiet and seclusion. Will definitely be back!
This was a cute home to stay in, with the property owners easily accessible if needed. We were two families and our kids loved staying here together!

About the host
Hosted by Nora Jungwirth
My husband, Lake and me have been together for 16 years and married since 2012. We enjoy all things outdoors especially mountain biking, canoeing and camping with family. We enjoy meeting new people and love sharing stories. I am a stay at home mom and I also own my own wedding catering business that I run in the summer months.
Why they chose this property
We want to offer a rural relaxation spot for those who want to be semi in the woods but have all the amenities. The house is set close to many world class biking/hiking trails, skiing, boating and wildlife spotting areas. Set about 12-15 minutes from Marquette and 5 from Negaunee you will be mostly surrounded by forest. Deer walk through the yard, birds are prevalent and the silence is very calming. You may hear the ore trail whistle! The house sits a short walk away and is a good activity to check out!
