Chez Charlie is a lovely place to stay, a beautiful house surrounded by vineyards and winery cellars for tastings. All as described in the details. Sybille was a great host, very helpful and made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Lovely and peaceful

Charming, quiet location in Saint Romain with easy access to other wonderful villages such as Meursault, Pommard and Volnay and of course Beaune! Lovely house and attentive owners.

A great base for exploring Burgundy

A well equipped and beautifully decorated & maintained cottage, with a delightful garden & outdoor dining area for enjoying the long summer evenings. Saint Romain is a pretty town set among vineyards and with stunning views of the countryside. The cottage was ideal for 4 people and had all amenities to make our stay enjoyable.

Simply stunning Saint Romain

Fabulous holiday in stunningly beautiful location. Fabulous views to amazing terrain and countryside dude with very good road links to major routes. House was extremely well equipped and very pleasant to stay in. Check that you read the recycling as bottles/glass don't go in wheelie bins and the bins aren't emptied if you get it wrong. Loved it all and will definitely be back.

Wonderful property in a secluded location in the heart of Cotes des Beaunes

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this lovely property in Haut Saint Romain. The kitchen was fully equipped, bathrooms pristine and well appointed, bedrooms spacious with comfortable beds and two lovely small gardens perfect for BBQs and playing with our kids. Whilst I did not meet the host, our communications were always prompt and clear. I'd therefore highly recommend this lovely house for any families wanting to explore the many pretty villages and exceptional wineries all within 15 minutes drive!

Beautiful location

Our stay at Sybille’s house in St-Romain was outstanding. It is in a wonderful location in the upper village, very private and tranquil. The house is equipped with all the comforts of home, quality appliances, modern furnishings and spotlessly clean. Sybille provided us with detailed information regarding the village and surrounds and was very generous with her time, quickly responding to any questions. We really appreciated the welcome gifts too. Thank you Sybille for creating a gorgeous stay in St-Romain.

Easy check in, lovely renovated house. You won’t miss a thing here, it has everything you need.Really quiet village, great if you are looking for some time away from all the rush.Close to some popular cities / towns and touristic locations like Cluny and Fontenay.Communication is perfect.

Sehr schönes Haus, Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin unkompliziert, Check-in praktisch über Schlüsselbox. Ausstattung perfekt, in der Küche auch für ausgiebigere Kochaktionen alles vorhanden. Ein sehr gut gefülltes Bücherregal (deutsch, Englisch, französisch) ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Im Dorf gibt es ein hervorragendes Restaurant und eine tolle Kaffeerösterei, sonst wirklich Inbegriff von Idylle! Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben.

Mit viel Herzblut perfekt geführtes Ferienhaus in grandioser Region: geschmackvolle Einrichtung des renovierten Hauses mit wunderbarem Garten mitten im Dorf, erstklassiges Restaurant fußläufig im „Unterdorf“ zu erreichen, viele Möglichkeiten zum Wandern oder Radfahren in abwechslungsreicher Landschaft, ein Juwel!

Nice place to stay

We stayed at the house for one week in September. Our host, Sybille, did a good job before we came to inform and recommend what to do during our stay. The house itself is in a perfect condition and Saint-Romain is very cosy.

Herausragend

Das Winzerhaus in Saint Romain ist wunderschön gelegen, im alten Dorf, auf hohem Berg, zum Wandern und Bewegen, von außen alt, von innen neu, Gemälde an den Mauern, es ist bequem, es fehlt an nichts. Man ist nur zu bedauern, verläßt man schließlich die Idylle, erschafft von Jochen und Sybille.

Oft ist es so, dass die Wiederholung eines beeindruckendes Erlebnis nicht gelingt, aber hier war es so. Das Haus ist einfach schön und erfüllt alle Wünsche, die man an ein Feriendomizil stellen kann. Bessere Gastgeber kann man sich nicht wünschen - danke

Nous avons passé un agréable week-end en famille. La maison est fonctionnelle et propre, et la la literie très confortable. La région, et le village de Saint-Romain en particulier valent vraiment le coup. Nous avons fait le plein de Pommard 1er cru !

Eine wundervolle Woche in Saint Romain

Das Haus liegt in sehr schöner Lage auf einem Weinberg und ist komfortabel und liebevoll eingerichtet. Gemeinsames Kochen und Geniessen im grossen Speisezimmer und im Garten aber auch spazieren gehen und Erkundungen der schönen Orte im Umfeld waren uns eine Freude. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich.

Amazing house. The perfect getaway.

Such a beautifull house and garden. Sybille and Jochen were very welcoming and answered all our questions both before and during the stay. Would recommend this house to everybody. Especially if you are looking for a quiet holiday close to the wine yards and produceres. The small town and the people there are lovely and very helpfull. Also the church only 100 m from the house is wonderfull.
