Nestled at the base of the Ortiz Mountains, this rustic Pueblo-style 2BR, affectionately known as Casa de las Piedras, is one of a kind. The Southwestern abode is decorated with regional artwork, pottery, and folk art. Enjoy plenty of outdoor space to unwind and take in the surroundings. Kick back on the stone terrace and bask in gorgeous sunsets and mountain views, or enjoy an al fresco lunch in the gazebo.

Please note that four-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended to access this property during all seasons.

LIVING AREA

Stone floors, exposed vigas ceilings, and a decorative shepherd’s fireplace give the contemporary living area an authentic Southwestern feel.

Enjoy views of the back terrace and the Ortiz Mountains beyond from the new full-size sofa bed or love seat. Or unwind and watch a movie on the large Roku TV.

KITCHEN & DINING

Beautiful wood cabinets and paneling line the fully equipped kitchen, which includes a gas stove, microwave, and dishwasher. You’ll also find all the dishes, cutlery, and cookware you need during your stay.

Sit down to home-cooked meals at the wooden dining table for four.

BED & BATH

The spacious master bedroom boasts a plush queen bed and an office nook filled with books, while the cozy second bedroom offers a full-size bed and a TV with an antenna and Amazon Firestick.

The quaint bath features dual sinks and a tub/shower combination.

OUTDOOR AREAS

Out front, a seating area for four is surrounded by a rock garden. Follow the path to a gazebo with a dining table for six and hanging lights for evening enjoyment.

Just outside the main living area is a stone terrace with multiple chairs, a dining table, and wonderful views of the Ortiz Mountains.

Authentic South West with Museum and Gallery Vibes
This Winding Road home was an absolute delight. Its authentic adobe/pueblo style architecture provided a genuine Santa Fe living experience and colourful collections of artefacts, Ingenious textiles, rugs, paintings and other items of whimsy surrounded us indoors and out. Warm, comfortable and inviting the home is nicely equipped although the lack of an oven might pose a deterrent for some. The road in from the highway is bumpy but was not a challenge for our small SUV.

Casa de las piedras
Charming Pueblo style old fashioned real adobe home, with elaborate stone work and rock terraces with walking paths and sitting areas, gazebos etc surrounding it. Located at base of small but steep mountain, neighbors not visible from home, quiet and isolated. Home is well equipped, comfortable but not fancy, lots of Native American and Southwestern folk art, weaving etc. Kitchen is small but efficient, no large oven but good toaster oven. Adobe keeps home interior temps surprisingly comfortable despite wide range of outdoor temps during our stay (20’s to 70’s). Dirt road off main highway is half a mile, rutted out in places so would not attempt it in anything other than an SUV even in dry conditions. 4WD if wet or winter conditions. This home has a lot of character and we’d totally recommend it for anyone looking for immersion in New Mexico natural beauty in a well preserved old home with a lot of local color and real character.

Great, unique place - views were amazing!
Loved the house - so quaint, quiet, and comfortable. The sunset views were amazing. I loved being away from town just a bit, away from the hustle and bustle. Great place...and I'll stay there again.
