Situated at the edge of our family farm is this rustic cottage with a great backyard. The house isn't fancy, but offers a fun, casual stay within walking or driving access to our shoreline and much of the farm. Some guests spend their entire time around the firepit in the backyard, while others take in all that the town has to offer or anything in between. Saturday to Saturday rentals only during the summer. Please contact with questions before booking.
** Please note there is only one full bathroom and an outdoor shower. Because of how VRBO lists amenities, it puts it as a two-bathroom in the heading. **

We stayed in this quaint cottage while visiting family and nearby beaches. Owners were responsive and friendly. Property was gorgeous and offered spacious walks with our dog. House was clean and had adequate space. Our only wish was for another powder room. Would stay again!
This is a special property unlike any place I've experienced. Being on an old farm that stretches to the sea in a lovely corner of RI was fantastic for my family summer vacation. The bike riding in the area is fabulous and the beaches are varied and cool. Michael and Jen are thoughtful and communicative and they make delicious honey.

Old & Dusty House
This rental is an old dusty house with unsymmetrical floors that has not been updated and is without basic conveniences - there is no dishwasher or microwave. The bathroom is rudimentary and is on the second floor and it was tiring to go up & down the steep stairwell day and night. Outdoor chairs are old and worn. There are few positives: the mattress on the king bed is comfortable, as is the couch; the stove works well and cooks food quickly. Little Compton and the area is beautiful with farms, nature preserves, an Audubon Refuge and nice beaches - South Shore is big and sandy, other beaches are rocky. There are a few cute stores and the local produce is very good.

We are sorry that Susan did not find the house adequate for her needs. Indeed, it is an older home, part of a large farm, which many find charming. We advertise it as rustic and do not list any of the amenities that Susan mentioned (microwave/dishwasher). And there is only one bathroom on the second floor, which does require the use of stairs. There is a bedroom on the second floor if nighttime travel to the bathroom causes any concern with stair use. If anyone has any questions at all about the house or layout/amenities, please feel free to contact us before booking.
Worked great for us. Truly beautiful backyard for dog and family. It is an old house, but it was well equipped and remarkably functional for our family. Kids loved it. Cool woodwork. Some of the walls need refinishing, but the beds were fine, and it wasn't musty at all like a lot of these old houses are. Good WiFi. No TV, which I liked. We played cards around kitchen table every night. Great owners/property managers. Very responsive to a minor issue we had with the (new high tech) oven.
