A perfect weekend in a beautiful cabin!

We had an absolutely beautiful weekend at Sway Chalet! The cabin was so peaceful and thoughtfully designed. We very much enjoyed having the wood oven and appreciated the clear instructions for its use. The view of the forest from the deck is perfect. Eunice was a wonderful host and very responsive when we had a hard time understanding the heating system. We would love to come back and stay again!

It was a clean and beautiful property, however I feel the utensils were pretty old . The Teflon coating of utensils were getting eroded , so we didn’t feel comfortable cooking in those utensils . Otherwise it was an amazing property

Forest getaway

The sway chalet is a hidden gem I recommend to anyone who is wanting to escape into the forest.The property itself is really cozy and fireplace is definitely the main attraction that makes the whole place come together definitely would comeback to stay.

Great location for enjoying the area and walks in the amazing trees!

We fly in for a family wedding at Dorrington Hotel. The Chalet was comfy and very convenient location for all family get togethers. Murphys was great for shopping and enjoying the vineyards.

Ski weekend!

It was so great to have a cozy place close to Bear Valley to turn a ski day into a ski weekend. The wood stove and efficient kitchen made staying warm and cooking meals easy and fun. Loved it.

Cozy stay!

The cabin was very nice and cozy, with a beautiful view out of the A-frame window. The fireplace was awesome and kept the place warm. Kitchen was well stocked. Eunice was super responsive and helpful when we had questions at arrival and throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet getaway with a marvelous view

Cozy little cabin in a private spot but not too far away from people. Has all the necessary basics and more. We truly enjoyed the wood burning stove - it warms up the place in no time while adding to the atmosphere.

Beautiful Private A-Frame Cabin

It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay including spices for our steaks that we grilled on the patio grill. Comfy beds and sofas. Beautiful patio over looking the snow covered hill and trees. Only a few mins away from local stores, restaurants, bars, hiking trails, off-road trails, hiking, and Big Trees State Park! We had a great time!

Peaceful Getaway!

Our stay was perfect! Everything we needed was accessible! The cabin was just everything I could’ve imagined. It was our first time staying anywhere besides a hotel and I’m so glad we chose this cabin!! The view from the large windows was everything. It’s what sold me to choose there. I definitely am ready to go back!! Eunice was easy to reach for any questions I had! Definitely recommend!!

Lovely well appointed A-Frame

The Cabin is easy to access, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. I cant think of one thing that we needed that wasn't there. The host was available and more than responsive. Really a pleasure to deal with. The cabin is super convenient to Groceries, High Speed Electric Car Charging, Calaveras Big Trees and the Stanislaus River. It is a great stay.

Cozy little cabin in between Arnold and Bear Valley

Chose this cabin because I love the classic, cozy A-frame style, and I wanted to be in between groceries (Arnold) and skiing (Bear Valley).The large front window, wood-burning stove, cozy blankets, clean and modern bathroom, and upstairs bedroom were the highlights. The kitchen is tiny and has few outlets but it was fine in the end for what we needed, and served its purpose. I just wouldn’t plan on making any complicated meals here.

Perfect Rustic Getaway

We had a wonderful night away with the family at this cabin! The house was exactly as advertised—clean, cozy, and perfectly rustic. Communication was excellent, and it was easy to find, nestled among beautiful big trees. We grilled dinner, made pancakes in the morning, and spent time just sitting and listening to the sounds of nature. Our kids were in heaven—unplugged, exploring, and truly away from it all. It was also an easy drive to Bear Valley and Alpine Lake, where we had a couple of fun little adventures. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful escape in the woods. We’d absolutely come back!

What a treat!

Thanks to Eunice and Sean and the Sway Chalet for a most enjoyable experience in this forest of Big Trees in Camp Connell. I had a fabulous 6 day stay and really, really enjoyed the mountain biking and natural world experiences here. I also really enjoyed the Chalet and it’s quiet soothing experience. The house is quite charming and full of nice little touches. The kitchen is really well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, spices, etc. Spent many hours out on the deck and the front seating area and even added a new bird to my list - a Hermit warbler. Massive ancient trees, a really cool Chalet and a new species - you can’t beat that!

Perfect mountain getaway!

The Sway Chalet was a perfect mountain getaway! The neighborhood was quiet as can be and the cabin was rustic, clean, well-stocked for cooking meals, and firewood was well stocked to enjoy fires in the livingroom with the fireplace/stove. WiFi was excellent and Apple TV was a nice touch for entertainment. The floor to ceiling windows looking out on the forest were awesome, and the deck outside of the windows was good sized with a nice table and chairs to enjoy meals at. Calaveras Big Trees State Park is 5 minutes away, so it was nice having that so close by to go on a hike. The host, Eunice was very responsive with any questions I had, and the cabin was very easy to find despite the GPS in my car not working. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you!

Great stay

Me and my girlfriend rented this place out for our anniversary and we really enjoyed the place. A lot of cooking supplies which we loved - as it’s very spacious for 2. At the time the ac was not working which was unfortunate but did not ruin the trip for us and it was mentioned prior to booking so no knocks to them. but beware if you do run hot. would love to stay again
