Reconnect in this cozy camper that can travel deep into the wilderness of the Arkansas River Valley. As a host with your outdoor interests in mind, I'll handle recommend a dispersed campsite that's picturesque and near hiking, biking, rafting, hot springs or grand views. Bring your travel bags, food / drinks and we supply the rest to a memorably rustic and hassle-free stay in the woods. I'm located in Salida and happy to haul the camper within 20 mins of city center. This is a 17 foot travel trailer. There's a full size bed, with memory foam topper in the front, and a dinette that collapses into a second full size bed in the back. There's a small galley complete with sink, microwave, stove, basic spices, pots, cups and silverware. Linda graciously features a toilet and hot shower all for you. You will likely need a vehicle to get to and from where ever we choose to camp during your stay. If you prefer to stay at a traditional RV park or campsite, i'm happy to haul the camper there for you if you have confirmed reservations. Ideally this is within 20 minutes of Salida; if further, delivery fees will apply. Other things to Water: There's 26 gallons of fresh water on board to supply kitchen sink, shower, & toilet. 9 gallons of black water capacity (sewer) and 15 gallons of gray capacity (sink and shower). If the shower and sink are used conservatively, it can keep two people in the woods comfortably for a week without needing to empty the tanks. The camper is equipped with a 200w Renogy Solar system. Every minute the sun shines it's trickle charging. So running the heater on cold nights, or lights to keep your crew up late into the night is no issue. Do conserve though. The battery is neither massive nor high tech. There's 40 lbs of propane on-board. Which is plenty for cooking, showers, and heat for a couple weeks. Use it sparingly and you'll have plenty.

About the host
Hosted by John Heathfield
I've been in love with the Arkansas River Valley ever since I first laid eyes on it in 2012. In 2020, my wife and I made the dream a reality and moved here permanently from the Front Range. I'm a die-hard outdoors person. I love mtn biking, hiking, jeeping, soaking, star gazing, rafting, craft bevvies and hanging with all the cool kids that make up these outdoor communities. Please ask for recommendations on how to get the most out of your time here, happy to help point the way.
What makes this property unique
Linda is down for whatever. Dispersed sites, RV parks, campgrounds, and driveways. She's ready to provide warmth, shade, food, shower, toilet and above all comfort from early spring to late fall. Clue me in to your interests for your stay and I'll recommend a spot to set up camp.
