Enjoyable week!

We stayed for a week in the cabin and had a very enjoyable time. The cabin had everything we needed. We were very comfortable with all of the amenities with a great deck to relax on after a day at the lake. It has a great location between Shaver Lake and Huntington Lake. Lots of parking available for our two cars.

A dream I did not want to wake up from

This has to be the best vacation experience I've had yet due to the perfect environment that encouraged both relaxing vibes and fun adventures. The cabin itself was incredibly comfortable and cozy. The porch made me feel like I was camping right in the forest with the trees almost completely surrounding it. But the comfy ourdoor furniture made it even better than being in a tent. The location couldn't be better, with so many incredible hikes nearby that led to fun waterfalls and swimming pools. The nearby lake was a fantastic spot to unwind and take a trip out on the water. There was also a new bar/snackshop on the water that was the highlight of the trip – live music, delicious food, and the perfect place to end the day. This cabin is truly in the best spot to participate in the fun of the surrounding areas while also getting to enjoy the tranquility of the forest and coziness of the cabin.

Remote lovely family cabin

This place had so much charm. Plenty of space and sleeping arrangements. Also tons of games!! Unfortunately the WiFi didn’t work the first day we were there, but after contacting vacasa they sent out somebody asap and was able to fix it !! They have plenty of dvds too so when the WiFi cut out we weren’t bored. The heat works great as it was cold there! Pretty sad areas surrounding due to the recent fires… but this is a great price. You are 10-15 away from lakeshore and 15-20 away from Shaver lake! The neighbors in the area are all very very nice and there is some rebuilding going on, but it’s Very quiet as they are super respectful. I definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to come back to the Sierras.

The cabin was very nice and cozy as advertised. Can be a little warm in the loft section during the summer, but fans helped a bit. We spent the days at Huntington Lake so the short drive was welcome. The kitchen was not as clean as expected. The floors and counters needed some wiping which we were able to do. I would have been nice to have a list of things needed for the stay. There was no dishwashing soap or extra garbage bags. We had to purchase them at Lakeshore. We enjoyed spending time on the deck for lunch and in the mornings. On the whole, we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you for allowing us to share your cabin for the week.

Had a great experience.

The cabin was very nice and we really enjoyed siting out on the front deck at lunchtime. Sleeping in the loft portion of the cabin can be quite warm in the summer. Use of fans did help some. We spent most of the day at the lake. The 15 minute drive to Lakeshore was not too bad. The area was very quiet and peaceful. We stayed for a week with several couples joining us throughout the week. Even with eight people for the final two days, the cabin did not feel too crowded. We had some issues with the cleanliness of the kitchen and entry area, but were able to use the cleaning supplies present to take care of it. The absents of dishwasher soap and extra garbage bags required us to make a trip to the store for those supplies. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would consider visiting again.

Convenient location, but with several issues

A nice cabin in a convenient location, with easy access to both Huntington and Shaver Lakes (15–20 minutes' drive to each). However, there are several issues that require immediate attention: Cons: * All sinks except the kitchen sink were clogged, making it difficult to use the shower and wash hands in the bathroom. We had to clean up the shower sink to make it usable. * The living room carpet was very old and should be replaced. * The BBQ grill was outdated and dirty, so we chose not to use it. * The walkway to the home was unpaved—just a dirt path—with water leakage that made it muddy and difficult to walk on. A few wooden boards were placed over the mud to help with access.
